Introduction
Lancelot is one the most popular heroes in Mobile Legends, and that’s due to his awesome strengths and skills; if you learn how to well-position him and master his abilities, he can kill ALL the enemy team alone!
So powerful can be this hero, even having some nerfs! So, it’s a good idea to have this character into your heroes’ portfolio to use him at the right time.
What makes Lancelot so powerful is the insane damage he can cause to enemies and his great mobility. It’s odd, but you will only need to use two skills most of the time — skill one and skill 2, using his ultimate only when necessary.
As it happens with other high damage heroes (assassins, marksmen), Lancelot depends pretty much on constant farming, especially on the early game — so you need to be sure you use the right items and spells for him.
Lancelot has his weaknesses too, but by following the advice we’re going to give you on this guide, you won’t have too many problems while playing with him. Let’s go!
Skills
Soul Cutter (Passive)
Every 10 seconds (depending on Cooldown Reduction), the next basic attack Lancelot performs, will take “Defense” from the enemy — including creeps. This lasts for 6 secs and deals an extra 20% damage to enemies whose defense was taken. Enemies can recover their defense if they move to the place where they lost it.
Puncture (Active)
Lancelot will charge against a single target, dealing 100/250 points of damage (depending on level) and will leave a sword mark on the enemy. If there is no mark, the Cooldown for this ability will be reset.
Thorned Rose (Active)
Lancelot will perform a sword technique on a conical area, hitting the enemies within the range up to three times and dealing 250/450 Physical Damage. This will also slow down enemies by 3% for about 1s on each hit — this effect can stack. This ability also grants 40% of Spell Vamp.
Phantom Execution (Ultimate)
Lancelot charges for a short period and advances with an “Executioner” technique towards an enemy in front of him. During this movement, he becomes invincible and deals 400/800 Physical Damage to enemies.
Emblem Set
To obtain the maximum benefit from Lancelot’s abilities, he needs a great amount of Physical Penetration and Cooldown. In this regard, the best Emblem Set for him is “Assassin.”
By using the Assassin Set, you’ll give Lancelot a good amount of Physical Attack and Penetration (about 15% on each one) Critical Strike Chance, Cooldown Reduction, and Movement Speed — about 4%, 5%, and 2% respectively.
This works perfectly for a hero like Lancelot, who relies on single-target skills. However, you can also use a Physical-like Emblem Set alternatively to give more sustainability, but that’s when there is enough killing power already on the team.
Spells
As with other heroes on similar roles like that of Lancelot, there are some tactics you need to follow in order to play good enough, and Spells play an important role here.
Retribution
Deals 600/1440 of True Damage to Jungle Monsters or enemy Minions.
This spell comes in handy for Lance since he needs to farm frequently, although he’s not as dependent on this like other heroes — he has enough killing power even on early game.
Purify
Removes negative effects from heroes (stunned, slowed, disabled) and provides an increase in Movement Speed of 30%.
Useful spell to use in dangerous situations regardless of the high mobility of Lancelot.
Aegis
Gives the hero a shield of 720/1420 for three seconds, including any nearby hero who has the lowest HP — only a 50% shield of the total value.
This will give more defensive power for Lance since he has enough killing power, so this can balance things a bit, just in case.
Builds
Bloodlust Axe
+70 Physical Attack, +10 Cooldown, +20% Life Steal
An essential item for assassins, bringing not only Physical Attack but also sustainability. Life Steal triggers each time a skill is used.
Magic Shoes
+10 Cooldown Reduction, +40 Movement Speed
This item fits naturally on Lancelot since the effects it gives will improve his performance to move quicker and make more frequent use of his skills.
If you want more defense, you can use “Warrior Boots” instead.
Hunter Strike
+100 Physical Attack and +10 Cooldown Reduction
This is good if you want Lancelot to be able to spam his skills. This item improves the hero Movement Speed by 30% and allows him to attack five times in a row.
Alternatively, you can use “Endless Battle” if you want more HP, Life Steal, and Mana for Lancelot, since he has a high consume of Mana.
Malefic Roar
+60 Physical Attack and 40% of Armor Penetration
The only way you can deal enough damage to the most powerful tanks on late game. It also helps to reduce quicker the shield on towers.
Blade of Despair
+170 Physical Damage and +10 Attack Speed
An indispensable item for Lancelot. It deals an extra 10% of damage for an enemy in an abnormal state like stunned or disabled. When this effect is combined with the proper use of Lancelot’s abilities, he will deal with an incredible amount of damage.
Immortality or Black Ice Shield
Depending on your strategy, you can use any of these items to add more defensive stats.
“Immortality” grants more HP and Magic Resistance, besides the revival effect.
“Black Ice Shield” gives more Mana, Armor, and Cooldown Reduction.
Tips for Playing Lancelot
When you start the game, try to position yourself on Top or Bottom lanes. Lancelot is strong enough on early game, but don’t abuse this and keep farming until you build some gear. Of course, you can assist your teammates whenever possible, mainly using Thorned Rose to harass your enemies, but be careful.
Once you’ve some core items, you can go and help your teammates more frequently. Try to keep your position behind your team’s tank and continue using Thorned Rose. If you have the chance and enough survival items, you could use Puncture to deal even more damage.
On the late game, once you have your full build, it’s time to shine like a star. With the incredible damage Lancelot can cause, you can go solo or with your partners to destroy the enemy team. Try to use first Thorned Rose, then Puncture, and continue alternating skills this way. Use your Ultimate to evade critical enemy attacks and continue destroying them with your other skills and basic attacks.
