Tank Build
The Genius Wand is a magic and movement boosting items. This can improve Carmilla for any role by giving her spells more power and mobility.
If the aim is to make Carmilla more tank-like, the Brute Force Breastplate will improve her durability. It gives health points and higher physical defense, which will improve her staying power in a fight.
Athena’s shield gives health regeneration and hp to the Carmilla. It also increases her magic defense and prevents her from being slain.
The Glowing Wand will strengthen effectiveness in combat and improve health for Carmilla. She will get an increase in magical power and speed and a buff that causes her skills to deal extra damage for a few seconds.
Oracle is an item that also gives health points and magic defense, with an additional cooldown buff that maximizes all of Carmilla’s skill usage and capabilities.
Carmilla’s magic defense and speed can be improved with the tough boots, which will benefit her in any role she plays.
Many items like these can help Carmilla’s variety of abilities and allow her to be played in a unique way for any individual or situation.
Skills
Passive: Vampire Pact
The passive skill called Vampire Pact allows Carmilla to steal physical and magical defense from any enemies she attacks. This can be done every five seconds and stacks five times per enemy, allowing her to actively increase her durability while she lowers her targets. This can effectively turn Carmilla tank-like, beefing up her durability quickly so she can stay in battle longer, and cause more damage.
Skill 1: Crimson Flower
Crimson Flower, Carmilla’s first skill, releases two flowers that circle her. Any enemy touched by either flower will have their hp drained, giving a big boost to Carmilla’s health. The two flower’s speed will also increase each time they contact an enemy for the skill duration. This is a great damage dealing attack in a battle and can be used toward enemies away from allies and slay them.
Skill 2: Bloodbath
Her second skill, Bloodbath, accumulates bloodbath energy when it is selected. The energy is shown collecting in a crimson flower on the ground under Carmilla’s feet. While the energy builds up, Carmilla gets a 60% speed boost. If the skill is selected again, before the flower expires, the energy collected will be released on an enemy causing damage equivalent to the amount gathered in flower. This effect also stuns the opponent, leaving them weaker and vulnerable to Carmilla and her teammates.
Skill 3: Curs of Blood
Curse of Blood is her ultimate skill. It can be cast on an enemy to deal damage and a major speed debuff. If more than one enemy is in the area, it will create a red light string between the selected enemy and two others, delivering the damage and buff to the others. While the connection remains, any attack, spell, or skill dealt with one player will flow to the others. This skill is great for escaping teammates and for taking down multiple enemies at a time.
Carmilla Information
As a support hero, Carmilla is somewhat squishy, with low durability and weaker offensive attacks. Unlike other heroes in this role, however, Carmilla’s skills can boost her stats, making her comparable to other high damage, spell casting roles.
Her lower stats make it easier for her to play while roaming the battlefield so she can remain partnered with an ally to push and defeat enemies, but she is a bit more capable on her own when a fight breaks out. Playing her well requires active usage of her skills to keep her in the battle and help her teammates, making her a more complicated hero to use. Her crowd control capabilities and damage assist are well worth the effort, though.
Gameplay
Carmilla is a great asset as a teammate, filling multiple roles and helping allies push through enemy forces. She does not need a steady partner throughout the game like other support heroes, but she can be very efficient, assisting teammates in different team goals.
She will likely roam the lanes and poke enemies, insight battles, and help protect her comrades as they take down turrets. Some of her skills are not useful against creatures, so jungling should be left to other players. Instead, Carmilla should be prepared to switch roles in fights to best serve her teammates by keeping them from being slain and commanding crowd control abilities that will give her team the upper hand.
Carmilla is powerful in battle and becomes stronger, the more she fights. Other support heroes may hang back, Carmilla will instigate fights to further the game and keep enemies away from her teammates. When played correctly, she is a true force to be reckoned with.
