Unlocking Your Gear 

The first thing you’ll want to do is to unlock your gear. Doing this is by meeting up with a vendor in Old Sharlayan, Varsarudh. You’ll only have access to this vendor once you’ve completed the main quest and have a level that is at least at 89. The vendor is found right at the center of the city. When you reach them, you’ll be getting any artifact piece based on your particular job. 

Dyeing Your Gear 

Now that you know where to get your gear, we’ll go over how you can dye it in different colors. The dyeing process is slightly different based on the job role, so you’ll need to pay attention to each area specifically. 

Magical Ranged Role

To dye the Magical Ranged gear set, head over to Radz-at-Han and talk with the delegate there. Here, you’ll accept the request, “Our Aching Souls”. Completing the quest will give you the ability to dye your artifact gear. 

Physical Ranged Role

For Physical Ranged gear, you’ll similarly head to Radz-at-Han before taking the quest, “Seeds of Disquiet.” Simply move through the quest up the chain until “Laid to Rest.” At that point, you’ll be able to dye your artifact gear for physical ranged. 

Healer Role Quests

Healers will meet with the delegate at Radz-at-Han before taking on the quest, “Far From Free”. Completing the quest will give you the ability to dye your artifact. 

Tank Role Quests

For Tanks, you’ll speak with the Gridanian Delegate in Radz-at-Han. He will give you the quest “Shrouded in Peril”. Completing that quest will give you the ability to dye your armor. 

Melee DPS Role Quests

For Melee roles, you’ll speak with the Lominsan Delegate. He will offer you the “Storm Clouds Brewing” quest, which you’ll have to complete if you want to dye your armor setup. 

With such a wide variety of glamour pieces, it can be hard to choose which ones to use. However, some pieces shine above the rest for their style, ease with other glamour sets, and fun flavors. Here’s a list of 10 of the best glamour items in Final Fantasy XIV!

Namazu Earring

This cute little earring takes the number 10 spot. The Namasu Earring is a limited-edition item originally obtainable from the 2019 Moogle Treasure Trove event for 100 tomes. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in-game, although there is a chance it may become purchasable for real money in the future. 

This earring is a small detail that can add to any glamour set. There’s a lot of detail for such a small model, and the lucky players that own this item should be able to find a variety of different glamour sets that integrate this item well!

Type 2B Leggings

These stylish leggings are number 9 on this list. An homage to Nier: Automata, the Type 2B leggings are modeled after the outfit worn by 2B from that game. These leggings pair well with a variety of different glamour options and are a very cool collectible for fans of Nier Automata and Final Fantasy XIV. Players can collect this glamour by beating the Copied Factory raid’s final boss and rolling on the extra treasure chest that spawns.

Thavnairian Bustier

This classic-looking chest piece comes in at number 8 on this list. Its flowy, elegant look is great for a Dancer’s job character, and it pairs well with a variety of other leg glamours. 

It features many gold accents and jewelry that help it pop and has some unique armbands for female characters. Unfortunately, male characters don’t get this detail, but this chest piece glamour still works well on them! It is dyeable and is a master weaver level 3 level 60 chest piece.

Raincoat Chest Piece

This versatile chest piece glamour has a unique look that helps characters stand out from the rest! The Raincoat chest piece comes in at number 7. Added in the Stormblood expansion, this Master Weaver level 6 level 70 recipe is fully dyeable. 

It also has a golden button and details that add a refined look to the Raincoat. This glamour is designed to be paired with a hood, but it can look great on its own or with an alternate piece as well.

Claws of the Beast and False Nails

These hand slot glamours both are worthy of 6th place. The Claws of the Beast are purchased from the Gold Saucer for 30,000 MGP, and the False Nails from bought from the Ananta Beast Tribe of Stormblood. 

The Claws of the Beast are fierce-looking, talon-like nails that can be dyed, and the False Nails allow players to add color to their character’s fingernails. These make a great choice to add some flair to a glamour set!

Head Bandage

The Head Bandage glamour takes 5th place. This dyeable glamour rewards completing the quest “Ant Juice” in Rhalga’s Reach. However, before players can accept this quest, they need to be at least level 69 and have completed the main scenario quest, “The Lady in Red”. 

Once these requirements are fulfilled, players just need to speak with Ranulf and complete their quest to get this blindfold. This glamour is a great look for roleplaying different characters and is popular for replicating a Nier: Automata look.

Shisui of the Violet Tides Chestpiece

The chest piece from the Shisui of the Violet Tides dungeon set is taking fourth place on this list. This elegant crop top has a very light summer feel, and it matches well with a wide variety of glamours. It is fully dyeable and can be farmed from the dungeon it originates from quite easily. 

For players who aren’t interested in farming the dungeon for this glamour, the Fairjoy set has a very similar chest piece. It has a fair amount of detail, with some subtle floral patterns that look quite nice. This set can be bought for real money from the mogstation.

Endless Summer Glasses

The number 3 glamour has a unique interaction that no other item in the game has. The Endless Summer Glasses are a glamour reward from the 2018 Moonfire Fair event and can still be obtained for real money in-game. 

These dyeable glasses are unique in that they have a visor interaction. They can be raised or lowered with the “/visor” command. They are currently the only item in-game that has this interaction. This unique flexibility makes them a fun, glamour addition to play with.

Namazu Bell Necklace

This bell collar glamour takes second place. It’s a fun, unique glamour that pairs well with various glamour sets and is obtained through a fun, engaging quest storyline. 

This glamour is obtained by completing the Namazu Beast Tribe storyline in Stormblood. It doesn’t take long to finish this questline, and it’s a fun experience that nets players a unique glamour by completing it, so it’s definitely worth the time!

Quaintrelle’s Ruffled Skirt

The top glamour in Final Fantasy XIV is Quaintrelle’s Ruffled Skirt! The full skirt model is beautifully detailed and matches with a variety of different styles, making it fun and easy to experiment with! 

However, it does have one quirk that can make it tricky to work with. 

Due to the desire to avoid clipping, this skirt disappears when worn with a glamour that extends too far down towards the waistline. This imposes some limitations on what can be worn in a set with it, but that doesn’t take away from its stylish looks and fun design!

Vanaspati is a level 85 dungeon in Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker. To unlock Vanaspati you need to accept Skies aflame main scenario quest from NPC Tataru in Old Sharlayan. In this mission, you need to protect the Thavnairian forest. Before fighting each of the bosses, you will go through a series of trash mobs that you can group up and kill them using an AOE rotation.

Terminus Snatcher

• Note of despair – Raid-wide AOE damage. Healer be ready to heal as necessary.

• Mouth off – Five mouths will be summoned around the arena. Some will be talking and some don’t. The talking mouth will explode after some time, so you must go to a safe spot on the closed mouth zone. This is the boss’s core mechanics.

• Last grasp – Deal high damage to the primary tank target. Heal and shield cooldown as necessary.

• What is left/right – The boss will raise his arm before casting these mechanics on either side of the arena. At the same time, Mouth off will also be cast. Players need to go to a safe spot to avoid damage.

• Wallow – circle attack, spread apart.

• Lost hope – A temporary misdirection will occur with a small finger pointing to the way of the direction you will be moving. Players need to move to a safe spot to avoid damage. At the same time, Mouth off also will be cast.

Terminus Wrecker

• Meaningless destruction – Raid-wide AOE damage. Healer be ready to heal as necessary.

• Unholy water – There will be bubbles spawning around the arena. Enter these when he is about to do a fire Aether attack to gain fire resistance.

• Aether siphon – The boss will siphon 2 types, either fire or water aether. In fire siphon, all the players will be dealt with high damage. Move inside the water bubbles that spawned before to avoid damage. You will be dealt damage in water siphon and get knocked back from the center. Try to position yourself in between the two bubbles. If you get knocked to these bubbles, it will deal high damage and stun you.

• Total wreck – A tank buster targeted at the primary tank target. Heal and cooldown shield as necessary.

• Poison heart – A stack marker will be placed on a random player. Group up to spread the damage among the players.

Svarbhanu

• Flames of decay – Raid-wide AOE damage. Healer be ready to heal as necessary.

• Aetherial disruption – The arena will be split into 4 lanes of either blue or red color. According to the shape and color, move to the safe spot to avoid damage. At the same time, a red circle or a blue triangle will appear which indicates which lane will explode. These are the core mechanics of this boss.

• Crumbling sky – This mechanics will overlap with the aetherial disruption. In this, there will be two major damage. First is the knockback which will knock players out from the center and to avoid damage players should land in the correct color lane. The second one will be AOE circle which will place markers on all players and you should spread away and stand in the correct lane to avoid damage.

• Gnashing of teeth – A tank buster targeted at the primary tank target. Heal and cooldown shield as necessary.

• Crumbling sky meteors – the boss will summon a series of meteors. Line up where a meteor is missing in the sky to avoid damage. Then, circular AOE will appear and players should avoid this as well. This will continue for some time while the boss will be off-target. After done, the boss will fly back in and you can finish the boss off.

• Cosmic kiss – knockback

Ronkan Dreamers

While this is a mini-boss, it’s the first real dungeon challenge.

Wrath of the Ronka: This mechanic is a line AoE that fires out of one or two sides of the room. To avoid it, players need to stand behind one of the crumbling walls near the center of the arena.

The boss will also do an unavoidable AoE that players will need to heal and mitigate through

Lozatl

The first boss of the Qitana Ravel, Lozatl, is straightforward.

Stonefist: Lozatl’s tankbuster. It must be healed and mitigated through. 

Sun Toss: This ability will target a random player with a circle AoE that other players should avoid.

Lozatl’s Scorn: Lozatl’s Scorn is an unavoidable AoE that must be healed through. It also activates one of the satues along the sides of the room, causing to light up and deal big AoE damage on that side of the room after a few seconds. This must be avoided.

Ronkan Statue: When the statue lights up, move to the opposite side of the platform.

Heat Up: This ability causes one of Lozatl’s shoulders to glow. One side of the boss lights up and turns at random in a direction. Move to the opposite side.

Batsquatch

The second boss of the dungeon is Batsquatch.

Ripper Fang: A tankbuster that must be healed and mitigated through.

Soundwave: This ability is an unavoidable AoE.

Subsonics: This mechanic does unavoidable damage to the entire party.

Stalactites: It also causes stalactites to fall. These stalactites cause damage in a circular AoE when they hit the ground, and some tip over, dealing huge line AoE damage the next time Batsquatch casts Soundwave. Players can avoid these by watching the stalactites’ shadows, indicating which way they’ll fall.

Lightwarden Eros

The final boss of the Qitana Ravel requires a lot of repositioning throughout the fight.

Rend: This is the tankbuster of the fight. Cooldown and heal.

Hound out of Heaven: This ability periodically targets a random player with a red targeting lin, tethering them. After a few seconds, Eros will pounce that player, dealing massive damage. This reduces distance, so the targeted player should run far away from the boss.

Glossolalia: Raid-wide blast, heal.

Viper Poison: Eros drops circle AoEs that leave damaging pools around the arena, avoid these. It then follows it up with…

Inhale: The boss pulls players towards the boss. Players should be careful not to be dragged through the pools left by Viper Poison.

Heaving Breath: This mechanic is cast after Inhale. It pushes players away from the boss. As with Inhale, players should avoid the damaging pools left by Viper Poison.

Confession of Faith: This ability starts with the boss leaping to the north or south side of the room and follows one of two patterns.

1. Eros places AoE markers on two random players and breathes fire down the middle of the room.
2. Eros will place a stack up marker on one player that the others should stack on to split damage. The outer areas of the room are blasted by fire when this occurs.

If stack up marker, stack in. Otherwise, spread apart.

Reaper

Once unlocked, the job of a reaper begins at level 70. First, you need to talk with the flustered attendant in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald. You must accept and complete the “Killer Instinct” quest.

You need to be a level 70 disciple of war or magic to do so. Then you need to speak with Jijilyo at Ul’dah, steps of Thal.

After this, you need to head over to meet Loyal Lemure in Pearl Lane at Ul’dah, steps of Thal to gain entry. After all, complete the quest by speaking with Drusilla and receiving Soul of the reaper, Muzhil Attire Cohfer, and Deepgold War Scythe. 

Equip everything you have and talk to Drusilla to start your first quest “The Harvest Begins” and continue your reaper journey.

Sage

Once unlocked, the job of a sage begins at level 70. First, you need to speak with Sharlayan Maidens at Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks and complete the first “Sage’s path” quest.

You need to be a level 70 disciple of war or magic to do so. After that, you need to head over to the Zephyr Gate in Middle La Noscea. To get there you can interact with the aethernet or aetheryte and select the Zephyr Gate. 

This is the fastest and easiest way to get there. Once you get there talk with Lalah Jinjahl. 

After talking with her, you can complete the quest and receive Soul of the Sage, Bookworm’s Attire Coffer, and Stonegold Milpreves. Equip everything you have, head over to Lalah Jinjahl to accept the “Sage’s Focus” quest, and start your journey as a sage.

Reaper and sage are two very different classes that are incredible to use but you must have the Endwalker expansion to open up these new classes.

The Reaper Job in FFXIV Endwalker is a melee builder and spender that focuses on a flexible and fast-paced burst window to do their damage. Their core stat is Strength, and they use maiming-style armor while wielding a scythe as their weapon. In addition to their strength as a melee DPS, reapers bring Arcane Circle raid buff and an AoE healing ability called Arcane Crest to their parties.

Reaper gameplay revolves around generating their two main resources, Soul and Shroud, then entering a powerful burst window that finishes with an AoE nuke. Reapers are a simple Job to play, but very difficult to master.

Strengths

• Very flexible burst window
• Not many positionals
• AoE healing and raid buff

Weaknesses

• Perfect rotation is impossible due to unusual timings
• Need to constantly maintain a debuff on enemies
• Ability cooldowns may become staggered because of resource generation

Resources

Reapers use many resources, and building and spending these appropriately makes up their core gameplay. There are three main resources:

Soul: Soul is shown as a red bar on the Job UI. It is gained by using the Reaper’s basic combo or by using Soul Slice or Soul Scythe and is spent on Reavers.

Reavers: This is a buff obtained by spending Soul on other abilities. It is spent using Gibbet, Gallows, or Guillotine.

Shroud: Shroud appears as a blue bar on the Job UI. It is built up by spending Reaver on Gibbet, Gallows, Guillotine.

At 50 Shroud, Reapers can use the ability Enshroud, which triggers their burst phase. During Enshroud, the Reaper’s gameplay changes up a bit, losing access to some abilities, gaining upgraded versions of others, and unlocking a powerful AoE attack called Communio, which ends Enshroud when used. Enshroud also introduces two new resources to build and spend:

• Lemure Shroud: The Reaper starts with 5 of these that appear as blue orbs on the Job UI. These are spent on the upgraded abilities Void Reaping, Cross Reaping, and Grim Reaping. Communio also requires 1 Lemure Shroud, and ends Enshroud when used.

• Void Shroud: 2 Void Shrouds are represented by pinkish orbs on the Job UI and can be spent on the abilities Lemure’s Slice and Lemure’s Scythe. These are oGCDs.

Reapers also place a debuff on enemies called Death’s Design. Death’s Design is applied by the abilities Shadow of Death in single-target and Whorl of Death in AoE. This needs to be constantly maintained to increase the damage that the Reaper does to the target(s). 

Now that the Reaper’s resources have been explained, here is a basic version of how to use those resources.

Reaper Rotation

Reapers use different rotations based on whether they are single-target or AoE.

Single-Target Reaper Rotation

1. Use Shadow of Death to keep Death’s Design up on the enemy.
2. Use Soul Slice and the basic combo Slice > Waxing Slice > Infernal Slice to generate Soul.
3. At 50 Soul, use Gluttony, Blood Stalk, Unveiled Gallows, or Unveiled Gibbet to build Reavers.
4. Use 1 Reaver on Gibbet or Gallows to build Shroud. Remember to alternate which ability the Reaper uses to buff the other one.
5. Once at 50 Shroud, use Enshroud to enter the burst phase.
6. While in Enshroud, spend 4 Lemure Shrouds with alternating Void Reaping and Cross Reaping.
7. Use 4 Void Shrouds to cast 2 Lemure’s Slice.
8. Use the final Lemure Shroud orb to cast Communio, ending the Enshroud burst phase.

AoE (3+ targets) Reaper Rotation

1. Use Guillotine if you have stacks.
2. Use Whorl of Death to keep Death’s Design up on all targets.
3. Use Soul Scythe and The basic AoE combo Spinning Scythe > Nightmare Scythe to build Soul.
4. At 50 Soul, use Gluttony or Grim Swathe to build Reavers.
5. Use 1 Reaver on Guillotine to build Shroud.
6. At 50 Shroud, use Enshroud to enter the burst phase.
7. While is Enshroud, spend 4 Lemure Shrouds by using Grim Reaping.
8. Spend 4 Void Shrouds by using 2 Lemure’s Scythe.
9. Spend the final Lemure Shroud orb to cast Communio, ending the Enshroud burst phase.

Gearing

For skill speed, a 2.5 GCD is a good target to aim for. For the Reaper, Critical Hit Rate is currently their best stat. If the player can’t meld Critical Hit, they should pick either Direct Hit or Determination depending on which is lower.

Levels 60 to 70

It’s critical to do your Duty Roulettes on a day-to-day basis. Once you’re at this point, you should strive to line up for the Leveling Roulette.

Beyond that, it may even be wise to line up for Alliance Raid, Tria, Main Scenario and Dungeons.

If the queue times are excessive, however, they may not be worth it(if you are DPS for example)

Are you a healer or a tank? If you’re part of either category, it may be smart to line up for the best dungeon that’s on hand to you, since queue times are a lot better for these roles, making dungeons the fastest leveling in the game.

You can handle your Heaven-on-High unlocking duties. Before that, you have to finish Palace of the Dead’s fiftieth floor. You have to finish “Tide Goes in, Imperials Go Out” as well. This is Stormblood’s primary scenario quest. Secure Hamakaze’s “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” as a means of getting the lock off the dungeon.

You have the option to level exclusively in Heaven-in-High. This may be a rather dull task, though. It may be wise to combine this with Hunts and Duty Roulettes to not burn out.

Levels 70 to 80

It’s vital to concentrate on Duty Roulettes each day. It’s just as vital to put a lot of effort into leveling, Alliance Raids and Main Scenario matters.

You can zero in on every choice if time permits. You can also do the Crystarium’s Nutsy Clan Hunts.

Doing so can enable you to kill time as you anticipate the emergence of Duty Roulettes. Unlock these by retrieving “Nuts to You,” a Hume Lout quest. Make sure that you did away with Hunts’ lock previously.

You should think about extra questing that can provide you with experience. Go in on the quests that are part of the Beast Tribe group. You can take on Pixie quests each day here. If you want to get rid of the lock for all of these quests, you have to complete Pink Pixie’s “Manic Pixie Dream Realm”. After you finish unlocking this, you should do the dailies.

Bozja Southern Front can be your friend between the levels of 71 and 80. You can zero in on this area for the levels between 80 and 90, too. You’ll reside in this zone apart from the dailies. You can also opt for going forward with the Trust system. You can do this after you reach level 71.

Fight or Flight should contain 11 GCDs with each cast. This is important to get maximum efficiency and damage output during the physical buff window. Requiescat, which starts the magical buff phase, lasts 30 seconds, which is more than enough time to cast it during the Fight or Flight phase and still have time to use all the magical phase rotational abilities.

Opener

During the opener, it’s important to maximize the Fight or Flight and Requiescat buff windows.

1. Cast Holy Spirit about 2 seconds before pull
2. Use Fast Blade, then Fight or Flight
3. Cast Riot Blade
4. Goring Blade
5. Circle of Scorn
6. Fast Blade, immediately followed by Expiacian and Intervene
7. Riot Blade, immediately followed by Requiescat and Intervene
8. Use Royal Authority followed by three Atonements
9. Use a Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Goring Blade combo
10. Cast four Holy Spirits, then follow up with Confiteor, Circle of Scorn, and Expiacion
11. Use the Blade of Faith > Blade of Truth > Blade of Valor combo to finish up the Opener

Rotation

After the opener is complete, the player can start their rotation loop. This loop is comprised of three phases:

Filler Phase

1. Use the Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Royal Authority Combo
2. Use two Atonements

Fight or Flight Phase

1. Fast Blade > Fight or Flight > Riot Blade > Goring Blade
2. Use Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Royal Authority, then three Atonements. The player will want to cast Requiescat whenever it becomes available (after the Riot Blade cast)
3. Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Goring Blade combo

Requiescat Phase

1. Cast four Holy Spirits
2. Use Confiteor
3. Blade of Faith > Blade of Truth > Blade of Valor combo

These three phases repeat throughout the encounter. The most important thing to remember is to make good use of the Fight or Flight and Requiescat windows.

I would make sure to try this dungeon using Trusts for the first run if you care about the story.

Lyssa

Lyssa is the first boss of the Ktsis Hyperboreia. Its mechanics require players to pay close attention to their surroundings.

Frostbite and Seek: During this mechanic, Lyssa turns temporarily invisible. However, during this time, Lyssa will leave a set of footprints in the snow on the floor. At the end of this mechanic, Lyssa will reappear at the endpoint of the footprints and cast an enormous AoE attack that covers arena in front of it. Players will need to follow these footprints, then stand behind the point where they end up behind Lyssa. This will ensure that when Lyssa reappears, players will not be hit by the AoE.

Frigid Stomp: Frigid Stomp is an unavoidable, arena-wide AoE that needs to be healed and mitigated. 

Heavy Smash: Stack up marker, move together to share damage.

Skull Dasher: Lyssa’s tankbuster ability. Tanks should use their mitigation to lessen the damage and healers must be prepared for the burst of tank damage.

Icicall: Lyssa summons icicles throughout the arena that trigger an AoE on their locations then launch themselves in a line AoE after a few seconds. Players must avoid the initial AoE, then the line AoE. 

Ladon Lord

The second boss of the Ktsis Hyperboreia is Ladon Lord. During this fight, the players need to watch the boss’s heads carefully.

Scratch: Scratch is the tankbuster of this fight. Tanks will need to use their mitigation and healers must be ready for the damage spike.

Intimidation: An arena wide AoE that must be healed and mitigated through.

Inhale: Ladon Lord will inhale, causing one to two of its three heads to swell up.

Pyric Breath: After casting Inhale, the boss will jump to the middle of the arena and face a specific direction. It will then cover that side of the arena with massive AoEs depending on which head(s) are swollen. If the middle head is swollen, the arena’s third directly in front of him will be hit. If one or both side heads are swollen, then the one or two thirds of the arena on the boss’s corresponding sides will be blanketed in the AoE. Players will need to stand in front of the unswollen heads to avoid this mechanic.

Pyric Spheres: This mechanic summons four fireballs that deal line AoE damage in a cross-shape after a few seconds. Players will need to watch where the fireballs land and position themselves to avoid the AoEs.

Pyric Blast: Stack up marker, stand together to share damage evenly.

Hermes, Winged Defiance

The final boss of the Ktsis Hyperboreia, Hermes, requires a lot of mobility and quick thinking.

Trismegistos: This arena wide AoE deals unavoidable damage and creates a barrier enclosing the arena’s edge.

Double: A buff that Hermes will cast on himself that allows him to use his next spell twice.

True Tornado: Hermes tankbuster ability. Tanks will need to use mitigation and healers must be ready for the damage spike. If Hermes casts Double on himself, this attack will fire twice in a row.

True Aero: This mechanic targets all players with a tracking line AoE attack. Players should spread out and avoid stacking damage. This ability will fire twice in a row of Double is cast beforehand.

Hermetica: Hermes will periodically summon squares outside the arena which fire line AoE attacks after a few seconds. Players will need to position themselves to not get hit by one.

Meteor: Meteor drops ground AoEs on all four corners of the arena. Once they land, three will be damaged, one will not. After, he will cast Double, then Hermetica. This form of Hermetica will sweep the entire arena in one direction. To avoid these Doubled Hermeticas, players need to hide behind the undamaged meteor twice to avoid each cast of Hermetica.

True Bravery: This spell must be interrupted, or Hermes will gain a damage boost.

Quadruple: Like Double, this buff quadruples Hermes next spell. He follows this with Hermetica, triggering a set of four Hermeticas that must be dodged. They will blast in the order in which they spawned in so pay close attention and move accordingly.

True Aero II: Hermes will place AoE target circles on all players. It is important that players avoid stacking so they don’t take critical damage. After the first set fires, a second set of fixed AoEs will be dropped. Players should move to avoid these.

Double and true tornado: There will be another double tankbuster and immediately after there will be circle damage under the tank so make sure to move away ASAP.

This is a level 77 dungeon in Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers included in patch 5.0. In this mission, you will go into the mines to bring back the light to Amh Areang. To unlock this quest, you need to accept the “A fresh start” main scenario quest from NPC Ryne in Amh Areang. There are 3 bosses in these mines and before each mob, there will be some trash mobs that you can easily kill.

Greater armadillo

• Stone flail – A tank buster targeted at the primary tank. Heal and cool down as necessary.
• Rockfall – A number of AOE circles will appear on the platform. Move away from this to avoid damage.

• Head toss – This is a stack-up marker on a random player. All players must group up to share the damage.

• Right round – The boss will drop his tail and spin us around like a record baby. This will cause damage and knockback in a point-blank area around the boss. Players must move out of the melee range to avoid damage.

• Flail smash – More rocks will fall from the ceiling and the boss will cast this mechanic which will cause proximity-based damage. Move away to avoid damage. At the same time, the boss will jump into the center and cast a large AOE donut causing more rock to fall. Move away to avoid damage.

• Pack armadillos – Two extra adds will spawn next to the boss and the tank needs to pick it. All players need to destroy the adds by burning them down. All these mechanics will repeat until the boss is down.

Amphibious Talos

• Efface – A tank buster targeted at the primary tank. Heal and cool down as necessary.

• Wellbore – The boss will move to the center and a large point-blank AOE attack will be cast. Move away from the spot to avoid damage.

• Waterspouts – 4 AOE circles will spawn around the platform, eventually becoming waterspouts. Position yourself carefully to avoid damage.

• High pressure – This is a knockback away from the boss. Position yourself between the two waterspouts to avoid damage and debuffs.

• Swift spill – The boss will rotate in one place and cast frontal blast. Players need to stay behind the boss to avoid damage. Once a full rotation is done, the waterspouts will disappear. All these mechanics will repeat until the boss is down.

Storge

• Intestinal crank – This is group-wide damage targeted to all party members. Healers be ready to heal as necessary.

• Heretic’s square – A bright square pattern will be formed around the boss. Eventually, a large cross-shaped AOE attack will be blasted from it. Players need to move to the corner of the square to avoid damage.

• Breaking wheel – This is a room-wide AOE donut attack that will be blasted with just a small hitbox in the middle. Players need to run into this hitbox to avoid damage.

• Crystal nail – Four feathers will spawn around the boss. Avoid this AOE circle when they are dropping down. These feathers will start to copy all the boss attacks.

• Censure – The feathers will copy all the boss’s previous attacks in a clockwise pattern. Adjust your position accordingly to avoid damage. All these mechanics will be repeated randomly until the boss is down.
