Epic Seven Vildred Build Guide

Pros

Vildred is one of the best Area of Effect (AoE) Damage Dealers in the game and is a useful unit for both PvP (Player vs. Player) and PvE (Player vs. Environment).

He has a high-Speed base, and his skills damage scales wit his Speed. He is also able to self-attack buff and CR (Combat Readiness) push. VIldred is the only 5-star unit in the game that has a Speed imprint.

Cons

Sadly, Vildred has no utility or debuffs and lacks a single-target damage skill. He also has an elemental disadvantage.

Quick Thoughts

Vildred is an Earth thief, and he is one of, if not the best farmer in the game. He is also one of the best choices for new players with a selection summon.

All of his skills revolve around attacking multiple enemies at the same time, and he gains an Attack buff and a CR push every time an enemy is killed. He is commonly used for leveling fodder or Hunts as well as for cleaving opponents in the Arena and Guild Wars.

PvE Content

Farming

Vildred is also known as the “best dog walker” in the game. His Skill 1 (S1) attacks two targets at once, while his S2 is an AoE and procs when an enemy dies. Finally, his S2 is an AoE that causes a good amount of damage.

He is one of the few DPS units with an AoE S1. His passive skill grants him an extra AoE Attack, an Attack buff, and a CR push when he kills someone. When Vildred is properly geared, he can cleave one enemy wave quickly with just one hit.

If you need a good unit for fodder leveling at an early game, Vildred is your best option.

Wyvern 11

Never bring an Earth DPS in Wyvern 11. Nothing more is needed to be said.

Golem 11

Vildred can help to cleave the first wave faster, but he will have difficulty in fighting against the Boss. Golem can counter and hits somewhat hard, so you need to defeat him as soon as possible.

Vildred doesn’t have any strong single-target skills. Additionally, his skill set doesn’t have any debuff. Therefore, please use other units with a Defense break skill, like Bellona or Ken, or a single-target skill, such as Cermia, Lidica, and Sol, instead of Vildred for this Hunt.

Banshee 11

Vildred is one of the best DPS units for this Hunt, and his AoE can help you clear the first wave faster. It can also kill those Mistychain before they can inflict Poison on you, which is one of the most important things to do when you are in Banshee 11.

Vildred has a high base Speed of 116, more top than most AoE units available, like C. Mercedes (101), Charles (109), Ludwig (112), or J. Kise (115). Because of this, it makes it easier for you to build him as an AoE DPS and one-shot Banshee.

However, Vildred can’t produce substantial single-target damage. So, if you want to clear this HUnt faster, you need to pair him with another Single-Target unit like Baiken, Yufine, Lilibet, or Cidd.

Azimanak 11

It is another good place for Vildred to shine because you will always need a robust AoE DPD to clear minion in the Boss phase. His skills only deal damage and cannot apply a debuff on the Boss. Thus, you do not have to worry about the three debuffs limit on the Boss.

With his self-Attack buff and a Defense break from an ally, he can quickly clear two minions and trigger an extra attack on the Boss to kill her faster.

Raid and Abyss

Since his skill set doesn’t have any debuff and can only cause mediocre damage on single targets, Vildred is not the best option for this gameplay. However, if you do not have a better AoE DPS, you are still able to use him for Arahakan (both regular and Hell), Julevee, and Vera in normal mode.

PvP Content

Vildred is the only 5-star unit in the game that has a Speed imprint. When he is fully memory-imprinted, he grants allies a plus 12 additional Speed.

In PvP, this synergizes exceptionally well with CR pushers, such as Roozid SC, ensuring that your team goes first so that Vildred can swiftly cleave away the opponent in one turn.

He is one of the units with the highest base Attack stats in the game. Additionally, all of his attacks scale with his Speed, allowing him to unleash vast amounts of damage against his opponents. When he is soul burned, his S3 does a lot of damage.

The best team composition for him is a standard Speed-cleave team with a CR pusher (Judith, Roozid SC, and S. Rose), an Attack buffer (Yuna, Diene, Vivian, and Rose), and a Defense breaker (Tenebria, Bellona, and Tywin). If you are wary of an enemy with Immunity, you can use Vildred with Roozid SC, Rose, and Cidd.

Vildred and Cidd give Roozid a lot of additional Speed to secure the first turn. Roozid and Rose can push up enough CR to pull even a slow Vildred to the front. They also provide a Speed and Attack buff to maximize his S3 damage. If the enemy is still alive, Cidd will clear them with his S3 and receive an extra turn when he kills an enemy.

The biggest weakness of Vildred is that he can’t deal with high single-target damage. Therefore, he can be countered by tanky team compositions, in which all of the opposing heroes are sturdy enough to withstand his first strike. Also, remember that he is an Earth unit, so he will have difficulty fighting a Fire unit. Other Moonlight Cleave units, like BBK and J.Kise, do not suffer from elemental disadvantages.
