Introduction
Zilong, “The Dragon Knight,” is one of the first heroes beginners can use for free, and also one of the easier characters to play with. This doesn’t mean he is a weak hero — don’t underestimate him.
Zilong is a versatile hero capable of going into the battlefield on different roles. He can go as initiator, semi-tank, or assassin; it depends on your strategy.
He’s very good in solo fights, but he also plays an important role during team fights due to his ability to catch enemies.
As this is a well-balanced hero, the secret to obtaining the max benefit from his characteristics, is to use the appropriate gear and tactics.

Skills
Dragon Flurry (Passive)
Each time Zilong starts using basic attacks, a timer is triggered, and every 6 secs, he’ll perform an array of quick stabs, dealing 1.8 times the basic damage. This will also reduce the Dragon Flurry’s cooldown by 0.5s.
Spear Flip (Active)
Zilong uses his spear to flip the enemy to the opposite position, dealing with 300 points of Physical Damage. This movement also reduces the enemy’s Armor and Movement Speed 10 points.
Spear Strike (Active)
Zilong charges at an enemy in front of him, dealing with 260 points of Physical Damage and slowing down the target by 30%. The pushing will be continued by a basic attack.
Supreme Warrior (Ultimate)
During 6s, Zilong gets a buff that makes him invulnerable to any slowing effect, increasing his Movement Speed by 30% and Attack Speed by 45%.
Emblem Set
The “default” Emblem Set for Zilong would be Fighter since it enhances the abilities to confront other heroes directly. This set not only brings Physical Attack and Penetration, but it also improves enough defensive stats and gives some HP to complement the combo.
The alternate option would be assassin. This will enhance Physical Penetration, Critical Strike Chance, Cooldown Reduction, and Movement Speed, thus improving the overall killing power.
Spells
We only recommend two spells for Zilong:
Flicker
It can teleport the hero from a short distance to a designated position. It also increases Physical and Magical Defense by 6/20 (depends on level) for 1s.
Purify
Removes all negative effects from heroes and provides an increment of 30% in Movement Speed.
Builds
The following build could be called the “Default,” since it’s well-balanced, giving good defense and decent offensive stats.
Warrior Boots
+22 pts of Armor
Increases both Physical Attack and Defense. It also increases Movement Speed by +40 pts.
Haas’s Claws
+70 pts of Physical Attack
It gives some Life Steal, and its unique passive increases it by 10% when the hero HP is below 40%.
Endless Battle
+65 Physical Attack, +25 Magic Power, +250 Health Points, +300 Mana, +5 Movement Speed, +15 Life Steal.
After using a skill, the next basic attack will deal with a 70% extra Physical Attack.
Scarlet Phantom
+30 pts Physical Attack, +40 pts Attack Speed, +10 Critical Strike Chance
Its passive effect increases to 25% Attack Speed.
Athena’s Shield
+900 pts HP, +56 pts Magic Resistance, +20 HP Regen
Gives a shield that absorbs damage every 30s. This increases as the battle continue, up to 1150 pts.
Demon Wings
+15 pts Physical Attack, +770 pts HP
It’s passive increases Physical Attack by +40 when HP drops below 40%.

Tips for Playing Zilong
It’s recommended to level up the first Supreme Warrior whenever it’s available. This is a great skill to engage in fights and also to escape from them! Then you can continue leveling up Spear Strike and Spear Flip in that order.
Depending on your strategy, it’s a good idea to focus your attacks on enemy damage dealers during team fights. Use Spear Flip to impede them from escaping and continue with basic attacks, or your ultimate — Spear Strike is more suitable for ganking.
If your build is more defensive, try to play more as semi-tank and rely on your team’s damage dealers to finish the enemies you trap with your Spear Flip.
Zilong has a straightforward playstyle, so regarding combos, there is not much variety. You can use Ultimate, skill 2, skill one, and basic attacks as your default combo. Try for yourself, that’s fun!
