The new Finto’s Strong Fence might be a game changer to farming. This thing has 10 slots and requires no contribution, unlike the other fences.
This could be good if you don’t have enough contribution points to get more than one strong fence or master two for one of those Old Moon Fences like me.
Quest
To start the quest, you must be at least level 20 or higher and head over to Liana in any major city. She will have a new quest line called “Know Anything About Farming”.
This will take you to Martina Finto to complete. Upon completion, you will be given a new quest to dig up potatoes which requires you to dig up three potatoes and come back “Let’s dig up some potatoes”. Accepting the quest to dig up more potatoes does require three contribution points to rent a small fence.
Then accept the quest “How To Gather even more potatoes”.
The next quest my little farm has you use fertilizer. This can be done by setting up a small fence, planting the potato seeds rewarded, and then using fertilizer. Once a small fence is rented, speak to Martina and choose the option “I rented a fence” to complete.
Turning in my little farm unlocks factors that hinder crops where you must prune and kill pests from the crop to get the twig and caterpillar. If you already have your fences up, then we can speed this up if the crops need to be tended to, but if not, you will have to wait.
Once the items are obtained, head back to Martina and turn them in. The next quest, “Time to Harvest” requires you to harvest 100 seed potatoes.
You can pick up potatoes around the area, making this much quicker. Heading back and completing the quest unlocks the quest for breeding better crops.
Doing this unlocks the next quest called “Horse’s Favourite Fodder”. To do this, you must breed a potato crop and get two seeds from the breeding. This can take four hours if you aren’t a potato farmer. Once the potatoes are bred, it’s time to head back and turn the quest in.
Use simple cooking in the farming by-products to create the Stonetail Fodder to complete. Finally, the “Master of Farming” quest requires you to have completed the farming advancement quest onion season.
This can be found in the suggested tab under advancement farming if needed. Once completed, Martina Finto will reward you with the Finto Strong Fence, which has 10 slots.
The Finto Strong Fence is a great way to jump into farming and learn the basics of farming while doing it. Even if you’re not into farming, it’s free and can help speed up farming without needing another 10 contribution points.
