This guide will also feature a discussion on Lightstones and the best types you should use for every build you want to achieve, whether to maximize survivability or attack damage. This guide will also tell where to hunt for these Lightstones and what to do with them. Lastly, this guide hopes to teach you the unique mechanic that goes into hunting for lifeskill artifacts and the best combinations for them. 

So what exactly are Lightstones and Artifacts? 

Artifacts are two new accessories that you can place in two gear slots; each artifact has its own stat bonuses. Each artifact comes with two slots where you can insert Lightstones for additional bonuses; that’s a total of four Lightstones.

This is similar to adding Crystals to your gear, and depending types of Lightstones you add to your artifacts, you will be granted a variety of set effects. This is why it’s important to know the types of Lightstones you’re inserting in our artifacts so that the set effects you get match the type of in-game activity you want to use your gear for.

How to Identify Lightstones?

Once you get a Lightstone from a boss or a grind spot, it will come in an unidentified version. Take these unidentified Lightstones to the Traveling Alchemist, Dailishin. Pay him 20 million Silver and get a random purified version of the Lightstone.

An alternative for this is if your character is Ranked Guru 1 in Alchemy, where instead of paying 20 million silver to an NPC, you can make a recipe, depending on what color of Lightstone you want to craft. This is a cheaper alternative, and the price can vary from 5-to 10 million Silver depending on the market value of the raw materials at the time of crafting. 

You also have a slight chance of getting two processed lightstones out of the recipe every time you try to craft it. This is not advisable for most players who don’t own an Alchemist with an almost Guru level in alchemy. Lastly, if you have a lot of money, you can buy these finished Lightstones from the Marketplace. 

Once you’ve collected 3 identified Lightstones and all have stat combinations that you don’t find suitable for the build you’re trying to achieve, you can process these three again to generate another processed Lightstone with a random stat bonus. 

How To Add And Remove Lightstones From Artifacts?

One great feature about artifacts and lightstones is that you can build and break as you progress through the game. The game allows you to add and remove lightstones almost freely. So even if you don’t have that perfect combination of Lightstones just yet, you can insert them for the bonus while you hunt for your ideal Lightstones and Artifacts.

To extract a Lightstone from an artifact, you will need an Extraction Tool, once you have it, go to any blacksmith and select the extract option. This extractiong will cost you 20 million Silver. So don’t be afraid to go wild with the combinations. Just keep the budget in mind. 

The Best PVE Artifacts And How To Get Them

Lesha’s Relic – Monster Damage Reduction +9 and Marsh’s Artifact – Monster Damage Reduction +6 

These artifacts are arguably the best PVE Artifacts in-game. These are dropped by Kutum(World Boss), Dark Rifts, Guild Bosses, Muraka, Mudster, Katzvariak Offin(World Boss, and all Boss Scrolls whether Normal or Awakened. To achieve the proper effect you must have one of each artifact or two of the same kind to attain the desired set-effect.

Best In Slot PVE Lighstone Combinations

Best In Slot Survivability

If you’re going for survivability, the best Lighstone combinations for you are three pieces of Lightstone of Earth: Veil and one Chromatic Lightstone. The set-effect bonus will grant you 6% less damage taken from monsters and +20 to your Monster Damage Reduction.

You can farm for Lightstones of Earth in the following spots and mobs; Oluns, Gyfins, Turos, Padix, Manshaums, Lower Sycraia, Navarn Steppe, Cadry’s, Hystria, Schultz Guards and Sherekhan’s. 

The mobs in these spots will drop an Imperfect Lightstone of Earth; you then take 20 million Silver and Gold bars along with 2 10 million bars, and the Imperfect Lightstone Of Earth to the wandering alchemist, Dalishain. You can find him in every major city in-game, give him the required items and he will give you a Purified Lightstone Of Earth. 

Open the Purified Lightstone and it’s going to give either a Veil, Armed Forces.or Mountain depending on your luck with RNG system. In most instances, you will have to open up multiple Lightstones to produce 3 Veils. After this, you’ll need a Chromatic Lightstone that you can get from world bosses, field bosses, Guild Raids, Dark Rifts, Weekly Boss Raids, and Awakening Boss Scrolls. Once you collect all four, slot them into your two artifacts to complete the process.

Best In Slot Resist

For Best in Slot Resist, the best combination would be two Limestone Of Earth: Armed Forces, One Limestone Of Earth: Mountain and one Limestone of Earth; Veil is the way to go. The set effect grants you +20 Damage Reduction, a Monster Resist Buff of +50% and an All Resist of +1%. You can farm for these stones at the same spots where you can find the Lightstones.

Best in Slot PVE Damage

This Lighstone combination is actual best suited for PVP, but we’re going to include it here for PVE because of it’s versatility when it comes to increasing your damage output. This combination consists of one Lightstone Of Fire: Rage, one Lightstone Of Fire: Marked, one Lightstone Of Fire: Strike and one Lightstone of Wind: Lungs. The set-effect for this combination will give +10 to Attack Power, +10 All Accuracy, +100 to Max Stamina and +6% Critical Damage. 

To get Fire Lightstones, you can hunt for them in the following spots: Basilisks, Kratuga, Stars End, Forest Ronaros, Aakman, Ash Forest, Aba Monastery, Thornwood Forest, Gahaz, Nagas, Sulfur Mines, Crescents, Fadus, Blood Wolves, Protty Cave and Pila Ku. Repeat the same process with Dalishain once you have enough Imperfect Lightstones. 

Another Lightstone combination that’s suitable for spots such as Olens, Gyphen and Ash Forest where you’re going to be doing a lot of attacks from the back because the mobs are so closely packed together is two Lightstones of Fire: Predation, one Lightstone Of Fire: Shadows and One Lightstone of Fire: Strike. This set-effect grants you +13 in Monster AP, Back Attack Damage +6% and Crit Damage +3%. You can find these Lightstones at Crypt, Mirumok Ruins, Centaurs, Pirate Island, Bashim’s, Tshira Ruins, Upper Sycraia and Polly’s. 

Best PVP Artifacts

When it comes to the best PVP artifacts, you could try three different types based on your preference. If you want the best survivability, go for a Lesha’s Relic which gives you +6 in All Evasion or +3 Defensive Rating. If you want more offensive accuracy, go for Marsh’s Artifact, which gives you +8 in Accuracy.

You can hunt for the Lesha’s Relics in these spots: Cadry Ruins, Centaurs, and Padix Island. You can also get them through summoning scrolls such as the Griffon Scroll, Urugon Scroll, Leebur Scroll, and the Muskan Scroll. For the Marsh’s Artifact, you can grind for them at Dastard Bheg, Mirumok Ruins, Forest Ronaros, Stars End, Turos, and Abandoned Monastery. 

Best In Slot PVP Lightstone Combinations

Best In Slot Survivability

For the best survivability, you’re going to need Lightstone Of Earth: Iron Wall, Lightstone Of Earth: Waves, Lightstone Of Earth: Disturbance, and Lightstone Of Wind: Heart. The set-effect bonus for this will give you +18 in All Damage Reduction, +33 in All Evasion, +200 Health Points, and +3% Special Attack Evasion. 

Grind for the Lightstones of Earth at the previously mentioned spots. For the Lightstones of Wind, you can find them at the Crypt, Mirumok Ruins, Centaurs, Pirate Island, Bashim’s, Tshira Ruins, Upper Sycraia, and Polly’s. Repeat the same process with Dalishain once you’ve farmed for enough Imperfect Lightstones. 

Best In Slot Damage

For an offensive approach, you will need the same combination previously mentioned for PVE. This combination applies to both because of its versatility when it comes to damage output; whether against Mobs or other players. 

You’re going to need one Lightstone Of Fire: Rage, one Lightstone Of Fire: Marked, one Lightstone Of Fire: Strike and one Lightstone of Wind: Lungs. The set-effect for this combination is going to give +10 to Attack Power, +10 All Accuracy, +100 to Max Stamina and +6% Critical Damage. 

Best PVP Artifact For Defense

The best artifact for defense when it comes to PVP is Kehel’s Artifact which grants +75 to your max health. These artifacts are dropped by Quint (World Boss), Black Shadow, Garmoth. Red Nose(Awakening Boss, Field Boss, Normal, Summon Scroll), Giath(Normal, Summon Scroll, Awakening Scroll). You can also grind for this artifact on Valley of Olun and Crypt Of Resting Thoughts. 

Another alternative for defense is Lesha’s Relic for All Damage Reduction which you can find at the Cadry’s Ruins, Centaur Herd, and Padix Island. Bosses like Griffon, Urugon, Leebur, and Muskan all drop this artifact, whether you summoned them from an Awakening Scroll and a Summon Scroll, as well as the normal versions of these bosses. 

Strategy For Hunting These Relics And Artifacts

Make sure to run all of your Boss Scrolls and Rifts first, as these are readily available in your inventory. It’s either you get an artifact that grants you a 3% experience bonus for all your lifeskills or one that grants a 5% bonus experience for a specific lifeskill of choice. The same mechanic works with an Artifact that grants you Mastery; it’s either a 7% bonus master to all lifeskills or a 10% for specific ones. 

How Do We Get these Lifeskilling Artifacts?

You won’t be hunting bosses or grinding mobs at specific places to get these artifacts; instead, you get these artifacts by performing lifeskills. For artifacts that grant you a bonus across the board for all your lifeskills, you can get this by performing any of the 10 lifeskills in game. For an artifact that grants a specific bonus for a certain lifeskill, you can get this by performing the aforementioned lifeskill. 

For instance, if you’re character is out gathering, you can get an All Life Skill Artifact. But if you’re looking for an artifact for a specific lifeskill, such as a Bass Fishing Mastery Artifact, you’ll obviously have to go fishing with your character. In short, you have a chance to get an artifact with a general bonus by doing all the lifeskills and and artifact for a specific lifeskill by doing that lifeskill. 

When it comes to lifeskill artifacts, the artifacts and the combos are very activity specific as opposed to PVE and PVP artifacts where you can interchange them with each other. The Lightstones that you’ve inserted give you specific statistical bonuses for a specific type of mobs or a specific type of class when you’re doing pvp. Likewise, most stats given by PVE and PVP artifacts serve multiple purposes. For example, an artifact that grants accuracy will be useful for either activity since you need it to take down enemies with a high evasion rating, whether a monster or an enemy player. As opposed to lifeskills, an artifact that gives you a bonus for fishing, will do you no good when you’re out gathering. 

Getting Lightstones of Grass

You can get these lightstones by performing all the lifeskills except Barehand Gathering, Water Collection and Shoveling. You can get the blue lifeskill lightstones. You can also get these by doing imperial activities such as Imperial Trading, Imperial Horse Training, Imperial Alchemy, Imperial Cooking, etc. By doing these, there is a chance of getting both the lightstones and the artifacts needed for your desired combination. 

You can also get these by using your Golden Work Seals.

Best Artifacts For Lifeskills

Best Artifact for Sailing 

The best Lifeskill Artifact for Sailing is the Hug Of The Sea, Mermaid’s Hope III. This artifact gives you +10% to experience gained when sailing, Bartering Experience gain of 10%, and +45 to your Sailing Mastery. As for the Lightstone Combinations, you’re going to need three Lightstones Of Grass and one Chromatic Lightstone. One important thing to note is that when it comes to Lightstones, you will need one Chromatic Lightstone for every life skill artifact. 

Best Artifact for Hunting 

The best artifact for hunting is the Fangs which give you +8% Critical Strike Chance, +10% Hunting Experience Gain, +10 to Hunting Mastery, +2 levels to Attack Speed Potential, and +1 to Critical Strike Potential. For the Lightstone combinations, you get two Lightstones of Grass, one Trap, one Pursuit, a Lightstone of Fire, and a Chromatic Lightstone. 

Best Artifact for Cooking 

Cooking is arguably the most important life skill in the game. The Essence Of Cooking gives you -2 seconds of Cooking Time, +10% to Cooking Experience Gain, Cooking Mastery +10 and +30 to the limit of your Carrying Weight. For the Lightstone combinations, you’re going to need Lightstone Of Grass: The Secret, Lightstone Of Grass: Combination, Lightstone Of Wind: Feather, and Chromatic Lightstone.

Best Artifact For Gathering

 Hedgehog Yawning grants a +10% chance to obtain all gatherings, a gathering experience gain of +10%, gathering Mastery of +10, +1 to both gathering speed potential and energy recovery. The Lightstone combination needed for this to work is one Lightstone Of Grass: Meadow, one Lightstone Of Grass: Forest, one Lightstone of Wind: Luck, and one Chromatic Lightstone. 

Best Artifact For Fishing 

The Bite Of God has a Fishing Experience Gain of +10%, a reduction in Auto-Fishing Time of -15%, Fishing Mastery of +20, +1 to Fishing Potential Level. For this, you’ll need Lightstone Of Grass: Chance, Lightstone Of Grass: Time, Lightstone of Wind: Lungs, and a Chromatic Lightstone. This artifact is great for maximizing fishing events in-game.

So, without further ado, let’s get started! 

What are Caphras Stones?

Before we begin, it’s essential that you know what a caphras stone even is. Caphras Stones are yellow stones that are found all around the BDO map. They are used as an effective form of gear enhancement, giving an item a 100% Enhancement Chance. 

Most items in the game have Caphras Levels that, when reached, increase its attack and defense stats. Weapons and armor have different class levels that Caphras Stones can fuel. 

Where to Find Caphras Stones

You can find Caphras Stones pretty all around the map if you are looking. That said, if you want the most concentrated amount, there are better places to look than others. 

For PvE players, it can vary from time to time. The easiest way to find out is by going through the Edit Menu and click on the Adventure tab. From there, if you go to the Item Drop tab, you can find a complete list of all the immediate areas you can go to farm Caphras Stones. For example, one great place to go to get Caphras Stones is Marie Cave. 

For Life Skillers, go to the My Information menu, click on the Life Skill tab, and look under the Gathering section. There, you will see numerous activities you can do to get Caphras Stones. These can include activities like tanning, lumbering, mining, or butchering, as an example. The higher your Mastery Level is any of these skills, the more likely you will get Caphras Stones while engaged in the activity. 

What difference do caphras stone make?

You can see in this instance that we got +1 extra DP and +1 extra evasion by leveling the PEN gear up one caphras stone level.

How to Enhance with Caphras Stones

Now that we know what Caphras Stones are and where you can best find them let’s now look at how you use them. As mentioned earlier, Caphras Stones are meant to enhance an item. 

The process for enhancing an item is fairly straightforward. The first thing you’ll do is go to your menu and open up the Black Spirit tab. This will take you to the Enhancement menu. From there, add your Caphras Stones as well as the weapon or armor you are looking to enhance. The more Caphras Stones you use, the higher level your item will reach. 

When Should You Use Your Caphras Stones

Now, at first glance, this might seem like an odd question. After all, wouldn’t it logically make sense that you would use Caphras Stones as fast as possible to level up an item? Well, that’s not exactly the case all the time. 

As mentioned earlier, high-level weapons and armor have different stages. These are: 

• PRI: +16
• DUO: +17
• TRI: +18
• TET: +19
• PEN: +20

You can use Caphras Stones to move from one level to the next, quickly increasing an item’s overall stats. However, each item requires a considerable amount of Caphras Stones before transitioning to the next level and stage accordingly. If you don’t have a large enough storehouse of Caphras Stones or simply don’t want to spend them all on an item’s upgrades, you can instead increase their level using AP. 

Remember to always extract your caphras(you get back 95%) at the blacksmith before doing any enhancing, otherwise, you lose 90% of caphras if you succeed!

Keep in mind that items that are enhanced to another level will only retain around 10% of the Caphras Stones used. This means that if you aren’t careful, you can end up enhancing one item using virtually all of your Caphras Stones only to get an even better item later without any way to grow it. 

Ideally, it would be best if you only used Caphras to enhance an item up to TET. From there, you can either leverage the item’s increased AP bonus to raise it to PEN or sell it for the money to buy a PEN item.

If you want to get the most out of BDO and have the strongest characters, investing some time in acquiring Caphras Stones and making sure to invest in the right items should be your primary focus for a reasonable amount of time. 

Over the years, the game has gone through several updates since its launch, and many classes have been added. In this overview guide, I’ll be giving you the top 5 classes to pick in 2021. I’ll go over the best ways to play them and how they contrast to others on this list.

Parameters To Judge

Before we go into detail on the different classes, let me briefly touch on what parameters I’m going to use to judge the characters. I will be determining a class’s Grind Speed, Overal Strength, and Accessibility. 

Grind Speed relates to how much time is required in order to get this class to the higher levels. Can they kill lots of enemies, netting you a lot of EXP, or can they only kill one opponent at a time? 

Overall Strength refers to a class’s strength in 1v1 matches as well as large-scale matchups. How does your class fare in PvP or PvE matchups? 

Class Accessibility refers to how accessible a class is for all players. Can every player pick up and use that class, or is it needlessly complicated for anyone other than an expert? 

These three points will be used to determine how each of these classes rank so you can see what is most important for you when choosing a class. 

#5. Sorceress

One of the oldest classes in the game, the Sorceress has a lot of great things going for her overall. While she is not the best at the lower levels in PvE, if you are willing to take the time and grind her out, she is far and away one of the best options out there. 

In terms of PvP, while a bit niche, she is a reasonably well-rounded class. Depending on your skill level and having a rough understanding of your opponent’s class, she is just well-rounded enough that you should have no problem pulling a win. 

Pros

• A super fun class to play in the game
• Doesn’t require a lot of gear to be competitive

Cons

• While fun, Sorcereress are not very accessible to new players
• Can be frustrating to build up in the game

#4. Nova

Now, in the span of things, Nova is one of the more recent class editions to the game, coming out on January 6th of 2021. As such, she has been met with some mixed feelings. And why is this? Well, honestly, it’s just that she’s pretty much broken as a character. 

While her succession PvE is trash, when she’s awakened, the Nova class turns things on their head completely. Particularly for those that want a character that can grind a lot of EXP and raise levels super-fast, Nova is the one for you. She’s especially great in Elvia content, one of the best characters at endgame spots.

PvP is similar. She’s got a pretty high skill ceiling and may not be the best choice for those just starting the game for the first time. However, if there’s a character that you don’t want to match up with, it’s a Nova-class character with a player that knows what they’re doing. She can burst people down like no other class.

Pros

• Very much an intelligent choice for those that want to do better in the game eventually. Take the time to learn her, and you won’t forget it
• She has incredible PvP and PvE potential and, for many, she’s pretty fun to play with once you know what you’re doing

Cons

• The class has a pretty steep learning curve and can be challenging to learn, especially for new players
• Similarly, while her abilities can be pretty amazing once you know what you’re doing, that doesn’t take away the fact that they are pretty niche.

#3. Striker

Hardly the Tank of the group, the Striker class is one of the most accessible classes that a beginner can get into without dealing with a huge learning curve. It is excellent for PvE as you can get a lot more loot as a Striker than pretty much every other class right now while spending the same amount of AP.

As it is very beginner-friendly, you can grind pretty quickly with the Striker class and dramatically improve the character’s gear in a relatively short amount of time. It is a solid option in the lower-level 1v1 fights but does cap out relatively early compared to the other classes. 

Pros

• The perfect base, beginner-friendly class to get started in
• Great for PvE 
• Ideal counter against Wizards and Sorcerers

Cons

• Needs gear if you hope to use in any PvP matchups
• Very “squishy” even in the late game

#2. Valkyrie

The female comparison to the Warrior class, the Valkyrie’s name to fame is their protection offered in battle and crazy usefulness in PvE matchups. They have many of the benefits of the Striker class from earlier but only better. They are great for grinding at the later levels and endgame spots so that you can get some really good loot really fast. 

If you thought that was where Valkyrie’s benefits ended, think again. She’s just as effective in PvP matchups as well, being incredibly versatile and having a truly impressive awakening in terms of either her damage or support. 

Pros

• Legitimately The Most Versatile Class in the game
• Deals incredible damage no matter what situation she’s thrown in

Cons

• Her awakening isn’t “completely” broken compared to #1

#1. Wizard & Witch

While technically two separate classes, they are pretty much the same in every way that matters to the point that it’s fair to say the Witch is a slightly worse mirror class to Wizard. 

So, what is so special about Wizards (and Witches)? Well… Everything. 

Yeah, you heard me right. If you want the best Assassin, play a Wizard. If you want the best Tank, play a Wizard. If you want the best Necromancer, Glass Cannon, Healer, Rogue, Support, or DPS… play a Wizard. Their spells are so varied and so powerful, they really make every other class obsolete. 

Their one downside is that, in some 1v1 PvP matchups, they will struggle. Even in these instances, the situation largely depends on the opponent and if they can outbox a Wizard’s casting times. 

They are great for grinding in pretty much any area and are surprisingly accessible by even beginner players.

Pros

• A cheat class that your team will love and your opponents will hate

Cons

• Slow Casting Times

In Summary

As you can see, there are some great options for many players to consider, whether you’re playing the game for the first time, coming back after a long while, or simply want to change up and play as a different character type. 

Ultimately, the point of the game is to have fun, and you don’t need to play as any of these five classes to do that. Remember, while this list is an excellent guide and a great overview of what classes have the most objective benefits, it shouldn’t be viewed as a requirement for having fun. You may want to play an entirely different class from the 5 listed. So long as you’re having fun and you’ve picked a class that resonates with what you want out of your play experience, that’s all that truly matters.

To create the Fallen God Armor, you will need a Flame of Despair and either a Blackstar Armor (PEN), Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), or Red Nose’s Armor (PEN).

How Do I Obtain The Required items for Fallen God Armor?

The Flame of Despair

The item can be obtained through purchase from the marketplace or by grinding in the Land of Turos Tunkuta located at the southernmost part of Velia. Once in Velia, head to the far south until you reach the O’dyllita region west of O’draxia.

Turos always fight in pairs, making it more effective to bring a companion whenever you’re grinding for these mobs. The Flame of Despair is a rare drop, but it can be crafted by melting 100 Embers of Despair which you can also grind from Turos. Keep grinding in the location until you get the Flame of Despair or at least 100 Embers of Despair which you can use to craft the needed item. Recommended AP here is 270+.

The Blackstar Armor (PEN), Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), or Red Nose’s Armor (PEN)

The Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) can be purchased from the marketplace, which works at your convenience if you’re looking for the easiest way to craft the powerful Fallen God Armor.

If you’re not going to use the Blackstar Armor (PEN), you will need to obtain a lot of Caphras Stones because both the Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) and Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN) needs to be enhanced ten times before you can use it to exchange for a Fallen God Armor. The stones can be acquired by grinding the mobs in the Dreighan region, Valencia, and Kamasylvia. It can also be obtained through gathering or as a reward for the dailies. Any of these three items will complete the necessary materials needed in making the Fallen God Armor.

After obtaining the two needed items, you can then receive the quest from Dorin Morgrim. Here are the easy steps to follow in making the Fallen God Armor:

Step 1

Click on the magnifying glass at the top right corner of your screen and type in Dorin Morgrim. It will send you to the NPC’s location, which is in Mediah territory. Dorin Morgrim is inside the deepest abyss of an abandoned mine, so you will need to enter the mine and just keep heading down to the bottom part to find the NPC.

Step 2

Once you find Dorin Morgrim, you may talk to him and click the quest button if you’ll be using the Blackstar Armor (PEN). If you use the Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) or Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), you will need to enhance it to level 10 using the Caphras Stones.

Summon your Black Spirit and click on Enhancement’, then select the Caphras Stones. Place either a Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) or Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), then click on the Level Up’ button until the armor reaches Caphras level 10.

Once you have all the required items, you may then proceed and accept the quest from Dorin Morgrim.

Interact with the NPC, click “chat” and then hand over the Flame of Despair. Then click on chat again and hand over the required armor.

After providing both items, click on Crafting’ then go up to the crystal imbued with a fiery energy that you see at the center. Click on chat and select the Craft the Fallen God’s Armor’ button, which will complete the quest. Accept the forbidding armor by interacting with Dorin Morgrim one last time, then open your inventory to see that coveted Fallen God Armor forged with the power of the fallen god.

Remember that you don’t have anything to lose. As long as you enjoy the journey, then your time isn’t wasted. With weapon exchange coupons you also don’t have to sell your gear, just transfer it to the next character.

To start, take the quest Fairy Queen Theiah from your Black Spirit. This will eventually lead you towards the Kamaslyve Temple in Mediah. Here, bear in mind to take x2 Cooking Honey to submit and move on to the next quest.

Once you accomplish this task, Theiah will reward you with another Sweet Honey Jar and direct you to an “Unstable Crevice” to help you move on with the journey. However, that’s just a small part of the quest. To complete the entire quest, you may need Laila’s Patels and RNG box to fulfill all the requirements (spoiler alert: I’ll be talking about that in a while).

Another you can do is create a Special Honey Jar using the Alchemy Utensil that can lead you to Unstable Crevice.

The recipe to make the Special Honey Jar is:

• Highest-Quality Cooking Honey x2 – You can gain this by shooting and looting the Wild Beehives south of Veila. Later, grind these beehives to increase your chances of obtaining high-quality honey.
• Purified Water x2 – Purified water can be obtained by filtering a bottle of River Water.
• Fruit of Abundance x5 – can be gained by farming sunflowers, grapes, onion, and strawberries. If you have been farming sunflowers earlier, it wouldn’t be a problem to gain these.
• Essence of Liquor x1 – Made with cooking 1 Fruit, 1 Flour, and 1 Leavening Agent

Then finish the quest to receive a Sealed Fairy Wing. This Wing is an RNG that gives you a fairy when you open it.

You can then register the Fairy by right-clicking on the desired item in the inventory, choosing the Fairy, viewing its details from the top left corner, and clicking on “summon” to bring her to life.

Fairy Tiers and Skills

Fairies come in 4 tiers, each with its own set of levels and skills as a general rule of thumb. Here are all of them to keep your progress in check.

Tier 1 – Faint – 10 levels – 2 skills

Tier 2 – Glimmering – 20 levels – 3 skills

Tier 3 – Brilliant – 30 levels – 4 skills

Tier 4 – Radiant – 40 levels – 5 skills

Remember all of these tiers come with a gift (Luck +1). Another thing worth mentioning is that Higher tier fairies tend to gain higher levels. For example, tier 4 (Radiant Fairy) can gain above level 4 skills. Ideally, you want a level 4 fairy. I suggest just collecting Leila’s petals until you have a lot before turning them in all at once for fairies since the chance of getting a Tier 4 Radiant fairy is fairly low.

What Fairy Skills Are Best?

Feathery Steps V – reduces weight penalty. This allows you to carry more without being overweight on all your characters by 25% at level 5. This is the one skill that you want to max and it’s a must-have.

Miraculous Cheer V – Your fairy can now auto-use HP/Resource potion for you. Very helpful when grinding and PvP, nice quality of life. Once you have Miraculous Cheer V you never have to use potions manually ever again.

Fairy’s Tear IV – Instant Resurrection without losing EXP. 1hr cooldown. This is nice when doing world bosses or other harder content to make sure you don’t lose EXP if you were to die.

Tingling Breath – Underwater breathing +30 seconds. This last skill is just nice to have and not necessary unless you are doing a lot of gathering underwater or other sea content.

Fairy Appearances and Personalities

In the game, you will get to see 5 different fairy personalities. They are:

1. Joyful
2. Meticulous
3. Prim
4. Aloof
5. Serene

Spending on which personality you have, you will see their personality as Fairy’s name, and it has a completely different approach from tiers. Although there is no difference in their appearance, their personalities will affect the Morning Star skill and voice line shades. This is only true for four of the fairies, as Serene doesn’t speak.

Depending on the personalities, the colors will be:

• Joyful – orange
• Meticulous – green
• Prim – pink
• Aloof – blue
• Serene – yellow

In order to change the appearance of these fairies, you need to buy a Fairy Appearance Change’ from the Pearl Shop that is only available for limited periods. Therefore, look out for any opportunities you get to customize your fairies.

How to Grow your Fairy

In general, to grow your Fairy, you need to feed unenhanced equipment and other items to boost its energy and let it thrive. You can do this by clicking on the growth tab in your Fairy’s information section and clicking on an item in your inventory. However, if you have a fairy of an undesirable tier, you should never waste your resources in feeding it. Just wait until you get a better tier fairy.

Here are the different items you can feed along with the amount of energy each of them offers:

• Armor/weapons 25-500 energy 
• Nouver/Kutum – 375k energy 
• Black Claw – 1.5k energy 
• Ultimate armor/weapons – 500-1.7k energy 
• Ultimate Awakening Weapons -13k energy
• Liverto and Blue Awakening Weapons – 3k energy 
• Lemoria armor – 3.3k energy 
• Dandelion/Boss ArmorKutum/Kzarka/Nouver/ – 47.5k energy

Rebirth Your Fairy

Once you are done enjoying growing your Fairy, it is also possible to rebirth your her, and it starts from scratch once again. This way, you can reset all of Fairy’s skills and get back to level 1 to help you thrive with a better experience.

However, your Fairy must be at least level 10 to be reborn and require a Fairy Queen’s Might which can be bought from the Pearl Shop.

Once you have reached the maximum tier (which is 4), you unlock the option to upgrade to the next level (tier). However, it isn’t as easy as you may think. This is because you need to have a specific amount of Sweet Honey Wine or Ornette’s Dark Honey Wine that will increase your chances of making it to the next tier. The Sweet honey can be crafted by cooking and will require 400 of these to attain a 100% chance of Ornette’s Dark Honey Wine from the Shop with 4% per wine.

Here, it would help to collect materials to improve your chances of success and obtain 100% success.

Personally, what I did was just collect petals, leveling it up until I got a Tier 4 Radiant with desirable skills. This took a while, but in the end, I didn’t have to spend any pearls on the fairy. You can of course also reroll the skills if you get a T4 fairy, but it costs real money.

What is Unstable Crevice and Special Honey Jar?

A Special Honey jar is one of the special items you need to be placed on the Unstable Crevice at the Kamasylve Temple. A Crevice is a red object that moves around every 3 to 5 seconds and randomly spawns in Serendia, Balenos, Calpheon, and Kamasylvia.

After interacting with the Unstable Crevice and placing the Special Honey Jar, you will be rewarded with either Laila’s Petal or a random tier fairy.

How Can I Change My Fairy’s Skills?

Of course!

However, you have to spend real money to do this. Go to the Pearl Shop (F3, Travel Aid section) and purchase something called Theiah’s Orb. This orb is then used to replace the skills you want to change with another.

However, these orbs also follow a rule for you to change your skills. This includes trading one skill for one orb, two skills for two orbs, and so on. Unfortunately, unlike other skill-changing methods, it doesn’t allow you to select which skill you want to choose- it’s all random!

How Can I Get a New Fairy?

It is pretty common to be unhappy with your fairy tier or skills. Luckily, there is a way to get a new fairy with minimal effort. To do this, release the fair you currently have and register for a new one.

You can then go ahead with the quest at Kamaslyve Temple from Theiah that can be repeated multiple times. Here, you must give 2 Laila’s Petals in exchange for a Fairy Wing to help you obtain a new fairy. Keep in mind that Radiant Fairies are the rarest in the game. Only release your Fairy until you get a Radiant Fairy.

To the left of your contribution point is your energy, the icon is a flexing arm. As you can see, I have 322 energy, of which 322 energy is available to spend.

Cooking Turn-ins: This is the main method of acquiring milk, by turning in by-products produced when cooking. When cooking, you’ll receive a byproduct called Witch’s Delicacy. You can turn in 10 Witch’s Delicacy for x120 milk at the NPC Nadia Rowen in Olvia.

When you are doing your imperial boxes, you also get the “Golden Seal” – [Imperial Cuisine]. The golden seals can be turned in at the NPC Pasvinder for milk.

Pasviner is located in Heidel, next to the imperial NPCs.
