Black Desert Compass and Archeologist’s Map Guide

In Black Desert Online, a compass and map are handy for helping you navigate the world faster.

Because of the compass and map’s usefulness in the game, people often wonder how to get them and many other things to do with the compass and map. With that said, let us get into it. This guide will go over what the compass and map do and how to get all the pieces required for making them. You will also learn about bonus items you can get after finishing the pieces.

Portal Defining Quest

There is a simple quest that starts at Sand Grain Bazaar. This quest is a one-time per family questline and is a very simple quest.

After you finish this quest, you can now easily spot which portal it is, helping you define which one is Hystria and which is Aakman.

If there is a yellow circle around the portal, then it is a Hystria portal.

If there is no yellow circle, then it is an Aakman portal.

Lafi Bedmountain’s Upgraded Compass

The compass allows you to call a party member, allowing them to teleport to you instantly.

This compass allows you to call your friends (if you’re at a party) nearby to you. This compass also has a ten-hour cooldown, and every character has their own cooldown.

So because every character has their cooldown with this compass, you can use it for more than one character. As you can see, this is a very useful item in Black Desert Online, but you may wonder where it drops. Here is a list of where the pieces drop:

-Piece N.1 (called the Elten Piece)

Drops from the Hystria Ruins

Mob Name: Tukar Balten or Elten

-Piece N.2 (called the Vodkhan Piece)

Drops in the Hystria Ruins

Mob Name: Vodkhan

-Piece N.3 (called the Aakman Piece)

Drops in the Aakman temple.

Mob name: Aakman Elite Guardian

You also need an ocean sapphire, a blood ruby, and a gold topaz.

Go to Ain Greed to exchange the upgraded compass parts.

Description and other useful things about a compass:

Details:

The effect sends an invitation to a friend to join a party.

This only works if they are on the same server as you are.

You can’t be offline to use it.

Teleport won’t be available after using a command,

It won’t work if the person you invited logged out or changed servers.

If you are a Platoon member, this can’t be used.

This cannot be used if you are making Node/Conquest Wars. The same can be said if you are on the red battlefield or in jail.

You cannot summon people to your party if they are on a Mount other than a camel, horse, or donkey.
