FFXIV Aitiascope Dungeon Guide

The fifth dungeon introduced in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, the Aitiascope dungeon once again sends players into the aethereal sea.

Livia the Undeterred

The first boss of the dungeon is a straightforward fight.

Frustration: This ability in an unavoidable AoE that Livia uses periodically.

Disparagement: The boss will periodically cast a cone AoE in the direction it is facing.

Aglaea Bite: Livia’s tanksbuster.

Aglaea Climb: When the boss casts this, 2 of her 4 arms will start glowing. A few seconds later, she will slam those arms down and create an AoE on the two quarters of the room that they are facing. Players should watch which arms are glowing and move to safe sides.

Aglaea Shot: The boss lays down eight line AoEs from the center of the room four at a time.

Odi Et Amo: This mechanic places two circle AoE markers where two random players are standing.

Ignis Odi: The boss will place a stack marker that players should stand in to split damage.

Rhitahtyn the Unshakable

The second fight of this dungeon revolves around an important mechanic combo.

Tartarean Impact: An unavoidable arena-wide AoE.

Anvil of Tartarus: The boss’s tankbuster.

Shrapnel Shell: The boss will place two AoE circles that multiply after the initial impact.

Tartarean Spark: The Boss casts a line AoE directed at a random player.

Vexillatio: Rhitahtyn casts and AoE that covers all of the arena except for the center strip. Once this hits, the sections struck by the AoE will rise up and summon four crystals. The boss will then use …

Shield Skewer: Rhytahtyn channels energy from the four crystals summoned. Once this cast is finished, he will charge down the center of the arena, dealing high damage. One crystal will drain faster than the others and will be destroyed before this happens. Players need to watch carefully to see which crystal this it, then stand in that area to avoid the charge.

Amon the Undying

Amon the Undying is the last boss of the Aitiascope dungeon.

Dark Forte: Amon’s tankbuster.

Entr’acte: Unavoidable arena-wide AoE.

Eruption Forte: This ability places two circle AoEs under two players.

Firaga Forte: This attack blasts the right or the left side of the arena. Players should watch the cast to see which side will be hit.

Thundaga Forte: This mechanic is a circular wave AoE that starts from the center of the arena. The circle of energy is split into eighths that travel at different speeds. Players should watch to see which wave hits the edge of the arena first, then stand there to avoid the other waves.

Strophe: The boss will summon a flat disk into the arena, then cast…

Antistrophe: The disk tilts upright and fires a laser from both faces. Players should watch to see which way it is tilting, then stand to the sides of the disk.

Curtain Call: Amon will start a long cast that places circle AoEs down. Halfway through this cast, a block of ice will crash down in the center of the arena, dealing damage and leaving the ice behind. Players will need to stack behind this ice to avoid the line AoE that the boss fires once the Curtain Call cast ends.
