Saber Build Guide Mobile Legends

saber mobile legends guide

Introduction

Saber is one of the first Assassin heroes that players can use in Mobile Legends. He is usually selected by beginners to test the Assassin role, but most veteran players generally ignore him.

Saber is not Meta as other assassins with higher damage capabilities, but he still can be dangerous enough to leave his mark in the game when played the right way.

Saber is mostly a harassment hero due to his first skill, which he can use to attack from a distance. He also has good mobility, and his Ultimate skill is very good to hunt squishy enemy heroes.

If you are a beginner, you can make it good with Saber if you use the correct equipment and tactics; just read our guides, and you’ll be able to play like a Mobile Legends Pro in a short time, let’s go!

Skills

Enemy’s Bane (Passive)

Each attack from Saber decreases the enemy’s defense gradually by 3%. This will stack up to 10 times but only last 2 secs.

It’s a good idea to coordinate the stacking feature with Flying Sword to accumulate the Max percentage of damage, then finish the attack with another skill.

Flying Sword (Active)

Saber releases four swords that continuously rotate around him, dealing 160 points of Physical Damage to enemies within range. Swords will return to Saber after few secs, but they can return earlier by using the Charge skill.

This will be your most used skill. Try to harass enemies as much as you can with this ability, always preserving a safe distance.

Charge (Active)

Saber will charge toward an enemy following a straight line, dealing 80 points of Physical Damage. The skill can be used to pass through barriers on the battlefield.

Ideal for initiating or escaping from an attack.

Triple Sweep (Ultimate)

Using his Ninja abilities, Saber will charge from a short distance toward an enemy, raising him/her, and performing three blows in a sequence. Each blow deals 220 points Physical Damage — this array of strikes also disables the enemy for a few secs.

The most used skill to eliminate enemies. Use wisely with squishy enemy heroes.

Emblem Set

Physical Assassin Set is perfect for Saber. This set gives him Physical Penetration and Critical Strike Chance stats, which increments notably his burst damage capability.

Using the 2nd Talent is good for ganking solitary and careless enemy heroes that are wandering around lanes.

Try to make good use of Tier 3’s Talent “Bounty Hunter” to gain 100 extra Gold (up to 1,300) each time you kill an enemy hero.

Spells

Execute

Unlocked on: level 1. Cooldown of: 90s.

Deals 220/500 of True Damage to an enemy Hero, ignoring any shield. If the target dies, the Cooldown will decrease by 40%.

Ideal for Assassins and Fighters to help kill enemies faster.

Petrify

Unlocked on: level 13. Cooldown of: 90s.

Deals 115/325 of Magical Damage to enemies within range, petrifying them for 0.7s

You can use this spell to disable high DPS enemy heroes that are hard to catch, so you can kill them easier.

Retribution

Unlocked on: level 1. Cooldown of: 35s.

Deals 600/1440 of True Damage to any Jungle Monster or enemy Minion.

Since Saber needs to spend a lot of time farming to increase his power, this spell fits perfectly for him. Try to use it as much as you can while you’re in Jungle.

Saber Build

This is the basic build, appropriate for newbies.

Warrior Boots

+22 Pts of Armor

The next basic attack, after using an ability, will give 40% Physical Damage, +40 Movement Speed, +5 Physical Defense, and slow down the target for 1.5s.

Windtalker

+25 Pts of Attack Speed, +20 Movement Speed, +20 Critical Strike Chance

Deals +125 Pts of Magical Damage to enemies every four basic attacks. It also increases Movement Speed by 5%.

Blade of Despair

+170 Pts of Physical Attack, +10 Attack Speed

Additional 10% of Physical Damage to enemies in an abnormal state such as stunned or disabled.

Endless Battle

+65 Pts of Physical Attack, +25 Magic Power, +250 HP, +300 Mana, +5 Movement Speed, +15 Life Steal

Each time a special ability is used, the next basic attack will deal with 70% of Physical Attack as True Damage. It also increases the hero’s Movement Speed by 15%.

Rose Gold Meteor

+65 Physical Attack, +30 Magic Resistance, +5 Life Steal

Gives a shield than can absorb 510/1350 Damage when the hero’s HP is below 30%.

Wings of Apocalypse Queen

+15 Pts Physical Attack, +1,000 HP, +10 Cooldown Reduction

Increases the Physical and Magical Defense by 40% and Physical Life Steal by 15% when the hero’s HP is below 40%.

Note you can use some alternate items to deal more damage. Substitute the more defensive items like “Warrior Boots,” “Endless Battle” and “Wings of Apocalypse Queen,” with more offensive ones like “Magic Shoes,” an additional “Blade of Despair” and “Deadly Blade” respectively.

Tips for Playing Saber

Saber is not a very powerful and durable character, so the best overall advice is: try never to fight alone an enemy hero, except when you are 100% sure you can win the game.

The ideal tactic when using Saber is to hide in bushes and try to catch by surprise the enemies, but only those who are squishy and have less than half an HP bar. This is true during both solo or team fights.

Try to use as much as you can your Flying Sword to constantly harass enemies, keeping a safe distance, and only go to melee combat when you’re sure you can kill the enemy. Be careful about enemy heroes with powerful CC skills.

When you start the game, keep your position farming until you reach level 4 or above, then go and play on side lanes — the ideal position for Saber.

The best order to upgrade your skills would be first Ultimate, next to Flying Sword, and finally, Charge.

Saber also has a high consumption Mana problem, so to avoid this, it’s recommended you buy two Mana Necklaces until you can buy a more advanced item like Endless Battle.

By following these tips, you’ll have half a battle won; rest is up to how much you practice. Play safe!
