Introduction
Here another cool guide on your favorite game, Mobile Legends. This time we’re going to cover the scaring and powerful Lord of Lava Thamuz!
Thamuz is a hero that has it all, great burst damage, durability, control abilities, mobility, and adaptability. Do you want more?
Thamuz is a fighter that can also be played as a full tank or semi tank. Due to the ability to throw his sickles, he can attack at a distance, and at the same time, enforce control over the enemies.
This is great because he can be instrumental to disrupt enemy team formations and strategy, which makes Thamuz very valuable during team fights. He also hits very hard, and if you master all his abilities, Thamuz may be a headache for the enemy team.
On the other hand, Thamuz is a relatively easy hero to use, so you just need to practice enough to be an expert Thamuz player.
Skills
Grand Lord Lava (Passive)
Each time Thamuz deals damage to an enemy, he produces a Scorch Effect that deals with 12 pts of continuous Physical Damage (PD). This effect stacks and deals True Damage (TD) when the target moves.
Additionally, when Thamuz isn’t carrying his scythes, he can move 30% faster. When he recovers his scythes, he can deal 100% pts of damage with his next basic attack. This also slows down the target by 40% and generates an explosion of lava beneath the enemy that deals 210 pts of extra Physical Damage, including nearby enemies.
Slaughterous Scythes (Active)
Thamuz throws his pair of scythes to a designated location. When the sickles hit an enemy, they deal 150/300 pts of Physical Damage (depends on level). The scythes also slow the enemy movement by 40% and deal 45/80 pts of continuous PD every 0.5s.
After few secs, the scythes return to Thamuz, dragging enemies on their way. The scythes can be retrieved at any time—cooldown of 0.0s.
Chasm Leap (Active)
Thamuz jumps to a designated area and deals 230/355 pts of Physical Damage. This also slows down the enemy for 2 secs. If Thamuz has thrown his scythes, they will return to him regardless of his position. Has a cooldown of 11/8.5s.
Cauterant Inferno (Ultimate)
Thamuz releases the lava stored inside his body, creating a burning atmosphere around him and dealing 300/480 pts of Physical Damage to enemies within range.
The burning atmosphere lasts for 9 secs and deals 20 pts of PD every 0.5s. Thamuz also recovers 2.5% of HP if he performs any basic attack during this time. He also gains 22% of extra Attack Speed—cooldown of 45/37s.
Emblem Set
We recommend using “Custom Fighter Emblem” for Thamuz to increase his Physical Damage stats. Spend Talent Points on this, and HP. You can use the “Disabling Strike” talent to add an extra slowing effect to his skills.
Alternatively, you can use “Common Physical Emblem.” In this case, we recommend using the “Open Fire” talent to increase Physical Attack.
Spells
Flicker
Teleport the hero from one position to another automatically.
This is ideal for Thamuz to escape from dangerous situations since he only has one “jump” ability.
Aegis
This spell gives the hero a protective shield of 720/1420 pts for 3 secs. It also offers 50% of shield pts to any nearby ally hero.
Since it’ll be frequent for Thamuz to be the target of the opposing team during group battles, you need to give him extra protection.
Retribution
Deals 600/1440 points of True Damage to Jungle Monsters and minions.
This helps you to farm faster to increase the overall Thamuz’s power quickly.
Tips on How To Play Thamuz
Thamuz’s primary weapon is skill 1 (Slaughterous Scythes). This ability is useful to disrupt the rival team’s formation. You can also use it to poke-damage the enemies — remember the scythes return to Thamuz based on his position.
You can play Thamuz aggressively from the early game because he’ll be able to deal great damage, even on level 1. In the late game, you must be careful during team fights because the enemy team will frequently chase Thamuz.
We recommend using the ultimate skill during team fights or even during solo fights. Then you can continue with skills 1 and 2. This combo helps Thamuz to enforce crowd control over the enemies, preparing the way to exert the maximum possible damage with his other abilities.
Build
Tank Build
This build is good to make Thamuz a little tankier since his skills don’t give him too much defense.
Warrior Boots
Gives the hero +22 pts of Armor and increases Physical Attack (PA) by 40% on basic attacks after using a skill. The item also increases Movement Speed (MS) by +40.
Bloodlust Axe
This one is useful to increment PA (+70) and gives Thamuz a life steal buff of 20%.
Berserker’s Fury
Increments PA and Critical Strike Chance (CSC) by +65 and +25, respectively. Perfect for incrementing the overall offensive power.
Corrosion Scythe
Its passive Corrosion can slow the enemy. This enhances Thamuz’s crowd control abilities. The item also gives some HP and PA.
Demon Wings
+15 PA and +770 HP. A defensive item that also gives +40 PA when the user’s HP drops below 40%.
Oracle
Another defensive item that continually regens HP by 8% each time the user receives an attack. This one is a defense only, giving many points on HP, Magic Resistance, and HP Regen.
Full Fighter Build
This build is useful when the team already has tanks, and there is a need for a high burst damage hero.
Rapid Boots
Increases Movement Speed by +50 points.

Blade of Seven Seas
Decrease the target’s physical defense (25 pts) and reduces the target’s physical armor by 7 pts.
Blade of Despair
Good +170 PA and +10 Attack Speed. When an enemy is stunned or in a similar state, it deals extra damage of 10%.
Malefic Roar
Adds Physical Penetration against heroes and turrets’ armors—increments PA by +60.
