Introduction

VALE The Windtalker is one of the most popular Mage heroes in MOBILE LEGENDS. He is a versatile character, easy to use, and very funny to play with.

This Mage hero can be used with different playstyles, to burst damage, poking the enemy, or for crowd control — he’s adaptable. He’s also very good at ganking and has long-range skills that can cause many headaches to the enemy team, especially during team fights.

Regarding his cons, we can say he has low mobility and is very squishy, so you must be careful under some circumstances.

Having read the above lines, it seems that Vale can give players many moments of fun if you choose him. So, all this sounds interesting, right?

Vale Skills

Windtalk (Passive)

Once Vale reaches level 4/6/8, he can enhance one of his skills, only one time each. He obtains a stack of Windtalk each time he kills or assists in killing an enemy hero. Each stack gives him +5 Pts of Movement Speed, up to 12 stacks.

Wind Blade (Active)

Vale releases two kinds of mystic blades towards the left and right of a specified area. This skill deals 230/430 (depends on level) of Magical Damage to enemies within the area covered.

Upgrading: you can choose to increase the area of damage or the level of damage.

Windblow (Active)

Vale throws a whirlwind forward, dealing 340/540 of Magical Damage and slowing down the target by 40%.

Upgrading: you can choose between a stop-on-hit or a knock-up effect.

Windstorm (Ultimate)

Vale summons a big windstorm on a specified area. This explodes after 1.5 secs and deals 700/1,100 of Magical Damage to enemies within range.

Upgrading: you can choose between increasing the damage or adding a control effect.

Battle Spells

Vale has low mobility, so the essential spells for him are Flicker and Sprint. Both spells can help him to escape from dangerous situations.

Flicker

Can teleport the hero a short distance to a specified location. It also increases the Physical and Magical Defense by 6/20 Pts for one second. Has a cooldown of 120s.

Sprint

The alternative spell in case you don’t have Flicker. This increases Movement Speed by 60% for 10 secs. It also grants an additional immunity against control and slowing effects. Has a cooldown of 100s.

Aegis

It gives a shield for the hero of 720/1,420 Pts for 3 secs. It also can shield a nearby allied hero for 50% of the points of the bearer hero’s shield.

I include this spell since Vale is a very squishy hero. This is of great help before using your skills because you need to determine well where you’re going to shoot them — thus, you might get caught by an enemy while doing this.

Emblems

Use CUSTOM MAGE EMBLEM for Vale. Spend your points on Cooldown Reduction and Magic Power on first and second rows.

The Mystery Shop Talent is good for Vale since it helps in getting items faster. Golden Touch also helps with that.

If you don’t have Custom Mage, you can use COMMON MAGE EMBLEM. Magic Power source is a good talent here to increase overall Magical Power.

Tips and Tricks For Using Vale

Skill Combos

One basic combination would be Windblow + Windstorm + Wind Blade.

This combo is useful in most circumstances but especially during team fights. Try to hit most enemies with Windblow; this will also help in slowing the enemies. Then you use your Ultimate (consider you upgrade to deal more damage) and finally Wind Blade to finish the lower HP’s enemies.

Skill Upgrade Path and Skill Enhance

Wind Blade: It’s better to upgrade to “Area Increase” because it’s hard to aim this skill. This upgrade will also be helpful in case you want to upgrade Windblow to “Stop on Hit.”

Windblow: I recommend “Knock up” because it can add more crowd control to this skill, so you can have a more balanced Vale.

Windstorm: You can upgrade “Damage Increase” if you upgraded your second skill to “Knock up.” Otherwise, it’s better you upgrade to “Area Control.”

Upgrade your skills following this order: Windblow, Windstorm, Wind Blade.

Tips and Tricks

It is a good idea to buy two “Mana Necklace” at an early game to avoid Vale to run out of Mana.

When you are in your lane, you can use Wind Blade and Windblow to clear minion waves faster. When you reach level 4, you can go to other lanes to help your partners.

Remember to stick to your allied tanks when ganking because Vale is pretty squishy. Use your basic combo whenever possible, but if you’ve your Ulti on cooldown, poke the enemies with skill 1 and 2 continually.

Vale can also be used as an assassin if you have enough items, but do it at your own risk — try always to keep a safe distance.
