Balmond Build Guide Mobile Legends

Introduction

Balmond is one of the more accessible characters to use in Mobile Legends, especially if you are a beginner. That’s because he is a melee range tank strong enough in the early game to keep enemies cautious at a distance.

Balmond is very good for crowd control. He also has the cool skill of HP Regeneration. This works when you kill minions and other heroes. On the other hand, he has slow mobility, so you need to be careful when you aren’t enough resistant.

You can deduce from the above lines that Balmond is a handy hero in team fights. He can protect team members while dealing with a decent amount of damage to enemies.

Balmond is a well-balanced and versatile character, and combined with the appropriate items, you can use him with different settings — only as a tank, only as a fighter or a combination.

Skills

Bloodthirst (Passive)

Balmond regenerates 4% of HP for killing minions and 10% HP for killing other heroes.

As an initiator tank, Balmond can use this ability to serve as spearhead during team fights — try to deal as much damage to the enemies as you can in these cases.

Soul Lock (Active)

Balmond charges towards an enemy, hitting and stunning. This ability deals with 150 pts of physical damage (PD) and slows the enemy movement by 60% for 2.5 secs. It has a cooldown of 10.8 secs.

This ability is helpful to initiate attacks and escape from them, especially during team fights. If you’re close to a team member with a high physical attack (PA), you can use this ability to close distance to an enemy that’s causing problems to your party, stunning him, and then allowing your partner to do the rest.

Cyclone Sweep (Active)

Balmond creates a powerful cyclone for three seconds while rotating his mighty axe, dealing 65 pts of true damage to enemies in range. This skill also slows down enemies for two secs. It has a cooldown of 6.9 secs.

This skill is especially useful for its crowd control effect on multiple enemies within range, allowing your allies to deal with a significant amount of damage.

Lethal Counter (Ultimate)

Using his big axe, Balmond shoots a kind of energy wave to enemies in front of him within a conical area. This movement deals a 350 pts and 20% of target’s missing HP as true damage, also lowering enemy movement speed by 60% for two secs. It has a cooldown of 40.

Try to use this skill only on enemies with about 25% of HP to finish them — especially during team fights. In the early game, it’s useful to help your partners kill Turtles faster. It’s also helpful to steal the Lord when it has only about 25% of HP.

Combo Skills

A widely used combo with Balmond is using Soul Lock to close distance with your opponent, then Cyclone Sweep to enforce some crowd control and damage. Finally, you can use Lethal Counter to finish your enemy if he doesn’t have enough HP — If you are close enough to the enemy, you can skip Soul Lock to save some mana.

Another useful combo during team fights would be using first Soul Lock, followed by Lethal Counter and then Cyclone Sweep. This combo allows you to reduce a decent amount of HP to tank heroes, stunning them, and letting your partners finish the work.

Emblem Set

The most recommended Emblem Sets for Balmond would be Tank and Assassin.

The Tank Emblem Set includes Armor, Magic Resistance, HP, Cooldown reduction, and HP Regen. This will give you the highest possible resistance during battle.

The Assassin Emblem Set is best suited when you want to use Balmond as Fighter. This set is well balanced to deal with damage and can give you enough resistance if you use the appropriate build. Try also to use Balmond’s passive skill whenever possible to recover HP when using this Emblem Set.

Spells

We recommend using Execute or Retribution spells.

Execute deals 240-800 pts of true damage. This spell can help Balmond to deal more damage during team fights. It’s perfect when you want to use Balmond as Fighter. Cooldown = 90 secs.

Retribution is perfect for using in Jungle to deal great damage (600-1440 pts true damage) to monsters and minions and reduce the damage taken at the same time. Cooldown = 35 secs.
