Hilda Build and Guide Mobile Legends

hilda mobile legends build and guide

Hello guys! Today I want to present to you one of my favorite characters on Mobile Legends! She is Hilda! I am going to give you some free tips about playing with her and how easy it is when you know some tricks!

Hilda’s Role

Hilda is a regen based tank/fighter who shines in the early-mid game. Her skill set is relatively straightforward to execute, but devastating. Hilda is usually picked for hyper aggression in the early game, and to shut down weak laners hard. Her versatility is unparalleled, as she can go in any lane and play different roles.

Hilda Skills and Item Build

Get skill one first, then max skill two asap, getting Ult when possible.

Core items include Bloodlust Axe for sweet Damage and survivability, Warrior Boots (cause you are tank/fighter, and you will be eating hits), and Cursed Helm (to be a nuisance to the enemy team).

After that, it is a matter of counter building. Special shout out to Immortality against magic users, plus it also doubles as an almost certain second life, since you can first skill to GTFO after you revive. Brute Force Breastplate if you can keep preying on squishies. Bloodthirsty King is also nice for massive HP boost and sweet regen when getting kills or assists. Blade Armour is also good if the enemy is a basic attack heavy. A lot of items work on her, so feel free to experiment.

Pros

  • Destroys enemy squishier early to mid-game in one combo
  • Does well in lane, can often come out top when trading blows
  • Excellent chase and escape with first skill can bully evasive heroes out of a lane
  • Relatively tanky in the end game
  • Ult stun and 2nd skill knockback counters heroes who rely on channeling spells, most notably Odette and Pharsa
  • Snowballs hard from an excellent early game

Cons

  • Damage falls off late game since Ult is capped at ten charges
  • Vulnerable to hard CC such as stuns and immobilization skills
  • Not a real tank, easier to be killed in the late game

Hilda Lanes and Matchups

Hilda is usually deployed in an aggressive tri lane formation, along with the pure tank and a squishy mage. She can also solo lane against most heroes if the situation calls for it, although it is not recommended since she doesn’t need a ton of farm to be effective.

Hilda is best played against

  • Squishy immobile mages and marksmen
  • Assassins who need to get up close
  • Weak laners who are squishy, since you can play hyper-aggressive and snowball into a mid-game monster

How to play with Hilda?

Early

Your game plan is to win your lane(s) hard and deny farm. At level 1, you would want to travel with your teammates to take enemy buff, setting back their farm. Level your skill one and go to the enemy jungle.

Don’t engage full-on since you want to get to the minion wave after clearing the jungle. It’s okay if you didn’t get it, cause enemy assassin’s farm will be set back. Once you get to the lane, abuse your passive (bush regen and shield) and keep trading hits with the enemy.

Do not overextend. Just keep their health low so they will be scared to farm. This should be easy with the backup of your other two teammates in the tri lane.

Force them to clear minion waves while you and your teammate’s clear jungle. If the lane is going well, you can go mid and try a gank. If your lane isn’t going well, you can either change your build to become more of a tank than a fighter (safe choice). Or to go to other lanes to gank more in the hopes of snowballing more (risky, only worth it if enemy heroes are easy to gank or if your team is losing early and it is all or nothing). Remember to get Turtle if the enemy lane is preoccupied with clearing minion waves.

Mid game

This is where you shine. If lane goes well and your ult charges are at a good number, go around looking for ganks. Set the tempo of the game by delaying enemy farm.

Do not play passive since this is your strongest point in-game. Start fights and take objectives (this is general advice, assuming you have a team comp that is also fast-paced).

Don’t AFK farm or take the farm from your team (doesn’t mean you have to be allergic to farm, prioritize making space). If your team is cooperative, you can take Lord after a successful team fight and try to end. You either make space for your team if your team is late-game oriented or decide to end if your team will lose in the late game.

Late game

Usually, your game shouldn’t reach the point where both teams are farmed up to the hilt. But if it happens, your job now is to distract your enemy’s main damage dealer. Don’t let that Layla free hit your assassins and mages! Identify the most dangerous person in the team fight and try to distract or eliminate him/her, be it that crazy Cyclops or the fed Lesley. You can still solo kill, but it is more of 50/50 now.

Hilda Tips

ยท Passive also regens back a lot of HP when you reach 30% health so that you can tower dive squishies with low HP. Just watch out for disables.

  • Hilda’s 2nd can be used as a gap closer for three times, so space your button presses a bit.
  • Bush is your friend.
  • A common tactic that I like to use against people with less game knowledge is to lure people in a bush when I’m low HP then engage them. This only works early game though.
  • Her Ult stuns one person only, but surrounding enemies can receive the Damage dealt.
  • Turn on hero targeting so you can aim the correct person in fights. Please don’t fight tanks for fun.

Tips for all players, inclusive masters!

If you are reading this, listen to this. Your game plan might be slightly different since there is no such thing as team comp and teamwork in low Elo. This usually works. Go top lane (or any empty lane) and clear wave as soon as possible, until you get the level 4. Rotate between lane and jungle continuously until level 4.

From what I’ve seen when I play with my smurf, most people flock to mid lane and next bot lane. After you get to level 4, go mid or anywhere where there are enemy squishies. Focus enemy MM since they are most likely underdeveloped.

Don’t do anything stupid such as eat turret shot and 1v5. Know your limits and play to win. Get kills, play aggressive, prevent farm. If you play your cards right, you will have a free win. The game plan is diluted to kill squishies and fast farm. If no one defends turret, get free turret. This advice applies to almost all heroes when you are playing in low ELO.
