Basar Epic Seven Build Guide

basar-epic-seven-guide

Pros

Basar is the best Stripper in the game and possesses strong debuffs, such as Strip all buffs, Decrease Combat Readiness, Unbuffable, Attack down, Blind, and Transfer debuff. He is mighty in both Offense and Defense.

Cons

Unfortunately, Basar is useless in PvE (Player vs. Environment) and is slightly squishy. He also needs a quite high-Speed stat to perform at his peak.

Basar Skill Summary

Basar is an Earth Mage with skills that apply many debuffs on his enemies and also strips all buffs on them. Additionally, he can also transfer his debuffs to his enemies.

Skill 1: Sand Wind

He attacks with wind magic. When the caster is debuffed, he has a 50% chance (can be increased up to 75%) to transfer one debuff from himself to the enemy before inflicting a random debuff for two turns.

In other words, any time Basar receives a debuff, he is able to transfer it back to his enemy while adding another debuff as well. Therefore, if he has a high-Speed stat, he could cycle more turns and transfer his debuffs to his enemies.

Skill 2: Hurricane ( Cooldown: 3 turns)

Basar attacks all enemies by releasing a hot sand hurricane that possesses a 60% (to a maximum of 75%) chance each to decrease the Hit Chance and Attack for two turns.

The best and most potent debuffs in the current Meta are an Attack down and Blind. This skill practically makes him an Earth “Dizzy” with only a 3-turn cooldown period.

Skill 3: Sandstorm (Cooldown: 4 turns)

He attacks all enemies with sand magic that is capable of dispelling all buffs and making them unable to be buffed for two turns while decreasing their Combat Readiness (CR) by 30%. It also has a Soul burn Effect, which ignores Effect Resistance.

This skill is one of the most potent S3 in the game. This skill has the ability to remove all buffs from your enemies, applies an Unbuffable debuff, and reduces their CR.

When he is equipped with a maxed Tagahel Book Artifact, Basar can Soul burn and ignore your enemies’ Effect Resistance. Because of this, he is irreplaceable in the current offensive cleave Meta.

PvE Content

Basar is powerful in PvP (Player vs. Player), but he is a terrible option in PvE (practically useless in all content).

PvP Content

Basar is an excellent option in PvP gameplay. First, he can transfer his debuffs with his S2, turning him into Earth Dizzy. But the star of his skills is his S3. His S3 can remove all debuffs from your enemies.

AoE Cleanse

Some units can AoE (Area of Effect) cleanse, but few Heroes, like Tamarinne in Idol form, Hurado, Romann, and Basar, can strip all buffs.

Out of all these units, Basar has the fastest speed of 112. Additionally, his S3 has other effects, like reducing their CR by 30% and applying an Unbuffable debuff on them.

Needless to be said, a 30% Combat Readiness is vast in the current Meta. It basically makes it easier for his allies to get that next turn without too much speed. The Unbuffable debuff can counter many buff teams, such as F.Ceci, Maid Chloe, and Crimson Armin.

When equipped with one maxed Tagahel’s Book, he can Soul burn to ensure that the strip lands. Since he has no Immunity, Basar can be paired with one AoE Defense breaker to apply a Defense break debuff on your enemy.

Basar Combines Good With

Basar and Tywin are one of the most common pairings. Tywin can Defense break your enemy with the Soul burn effect and then push up an AoE Damage Dealer to cleave them easier.

It can be challenging to design this combo because you will need two maxed Tagahel’s Book Artifacts to acquire a Soul burn Effect. For this reason, never use your Tagahel’s Book to sell or feed. You can never have enough.

Earth Unit

Remember that Basar is an Earth unit. Therefore, he will have difficulty in fighting individual units, like Ken, Kayron, and Lilas, if he is unable to Soul burn. Lilas is a particular threat because of her elemental advantage that provides a 50% evasion against Basar. Even more, Lilas can also cleanse all debuffs on her team, reduce your CR by 30% and potentially ruin your Basar’s setup.

Squishy

Since he is a Mage, he is squishy and be one-shotted by ML Ken after he uses his S3. DJ Basar with a high-Speed stat and Resistance can cleanse all debuff in his team, provide Immunity, and increase their CR.

Build

The most robust build is a High Speed with a Hit or Immunity set. The Immunity set can protect Basar from debuffs if he is not fast enough.

When you have a high speed, but do not possess a Tagahel’s Book, a Hit set or high Effectiveness is necessary to make sure that his strip lands on his enemies.

Stats Priority: Speed % Effectiveness % HP

Artifact: Tagahel’s Book

Skill Enhanced Priority. He works well with any skill up since his role is to strip, reduce CR, apply an Unbuffable effect, and that’s it.
