Epic Seven Luluca Build Guide

Quick Thoughts

Luluca is an AoE Breaker with some useful defensive buffs like AoE defense buff and barrier. Most mages are offense-oriented, but Luluca can play both offense and defense with defense break and defense buff. Add to her high base attack; she can do well on offense if you built her with mostly attack and critical rage/damage. She is considered a great beginner-friendly mage for new players.

Her S1 increased damage equal to 20% of enemies missing health percent (i.e. 50% HP enemy = 10% damage boost). This damage bonus is not very impressive, especially if we consider Bellona’s S1 has a huge impact on every content except PvP. Still, with high base ATK and based off the rest of her hit, she can be built as sub-DPS.

Her S2 is perhaps the most valuable skill alongside the defense buff. This type of buff is very uncommon in the game. Indeed, the only other units that have it are Krau, Maya, Pyllis, and Doris.

Also, Luluca can give the entire team defense buff+barrier almost every round, which can be very solid if she is built as DPS. Defense buff and barrier make her a powerful unit in Raid and Abyss. Pairing her defense buff + barrier with Blind and Attack Down from Dizzy should grant you pretty little damage from enemies.

Luluca’s S3 has a 0.945 ratio (max 1.18) and a 1.5 ratio (max 1.8) with 3 stacks. This has the potential to be a pretty significant hit after it builds up. Her defense break caps out at 75%, which is inferior to Bellona’s 80%, and especially Tywin’s 100%.

PvE Content

Wyvern 11

Luluca is a decent defense breaker, but Tanaror Guard could still be a better choice. 75% chance with four turns cooldown is super unreliable and might ruin your W11 runs. Her defense buff and barrier can help you tank more sustain, but this bluff will get stripped, so it’s only useful for one hit.

Azimanak 11

It could be pretty good. But her S2 will give two buffs, having too many buffs might be an issue if you have over 3.

Banshee 11

It doesn’t do that much. Defense buff can help you take the hit if you can’t clear mobs or fail at cleansing poisons, but her AoE isn’t particularly consistent.

Golem 11

Don’t.

Raid

First of all, her morale is excellent. A defense buff is an excellent tool for overall damage reduction for your team. It can help you when you fight against Hell Karkanis (yet his minions can dispel it quickly). Overall, Luluca can be an excellent complement to Tamarinne for Raids, cause Tam lacks Defense buff and barrier but has ATK buff which will increase the size of the barrier.

Abyss

She does excellent, as the crucial thing here is to sustain. Her defense buff and barrier can be of great help.

PvP Content

It’s hard to see much use for her other than AoE Defense Break for cleaving while being able to use Tagehel’s Book for soul burning or alike, which can already be done with regular Tenebria (high chance, faster) and Baal&Sezan (high probability, more debuffs).

If you want an AoE Defense buff, Kraus is always your best option. If you don’t have him, you can try to use Maya or Pyllis. But it’s not recommended to use them at high rank.

Gear Build

Speed/Crit if you want to focus on her S3 damage. Or Speed/Hit if you’re going to build her as Defense Breaker.

Right side stats should be C.Rate or C.Dmg on Necklace, %ATK on Ring, and SPD on Boots.

Stats Priority: SPD > ATK > C.Rate (at least 85%) > C.DMG and at least 55% Effectiveness.

Skill Enhanced Priority

Go for -CD first. Then S3 > S2 > S1 if you want to build her as full damage.

Or S2 > S3 > S1 if you want to build her a buff.

Artifact

Etica’s Scepter – the best choice for Luluca here. It allows her to cycle her skills faster. Spirit’s Breath – can be a great option too if you can max it out for a 100% chance.

Tagehel’s Ancient Book – PvP Artifact recommended for every MageKal’adra – you can maximize her damage if you pair her with some debufferRadian Forever – only suitable for PvE. Good choice if you want to build her as full damage

Conclusion

In conclusion, Luluca is a Jack of all trades, master of none. She’s a pretty versatile mage but can’t keep up with some of the other units’ abilities. However, she could – and should – be tested more carefully. What are your own opinions on her?
