Black Desert Mobile How To Tame Horse Guide

Introduction

Taming a horse in Black Desert Mobile can be a frustrating task and the game can give you confusing advice, like telling you to get closer when you are already almost touching the horse. With a few tips, you can be taming horses all day long.

This guide shows you what you need to tame a horse, where to find horses and the best strategy for taming them in the most efficient way.

Items

To tame a horse some items are essential and some make the task much easier and you can buy these items from any town. In a town, find an NPC that has a cow head-shaped symbol and walk to it.

This will open the products list and lets you buy the items related to animals and pets as well as all the items you need to tame your horse.

The essential item to buy to tame a horse is a Horse Taming Rope and raw sugar is also recommended.

It is best to buy a few of these if you can afford them as you get used to taming horses as it will be used up in the taming process. The second helpful but not essential item is Raw Sugar. You should buy a few of these too, as it will make the horse easier to tame. When you have these items you are all set.

Where To Find a Horse

Finding a horse can be confusing but there is an easy way to make sure you find a horse as soon as possible. To find a zone with horses you need to look at your mini map as you move around a zone.

Be aware that not all zones have horse spawns so you may need to look for a while. The symbol for a horse spawn on the mini map is a horse and a horseshoe together.

This indicates a place where a horse can spawn but does not guarantee that it will spawn there. What you need to do is search the area for these horse and horseshoe symbols and one will the lucky place a horse will spawn. Just check each place with a symbol and you will find a horse sooner than later. Now that’s left is to tame your horse and make it yours.

How to Tame a Horse and Common Mistakes

Now for the difficult, and easy, part. To tame the horse you need to click the Tame Horse option on the horse and click the lasso on the bottom right of your screen. But be careful not to stand too close! This will spook the horse, and they will attack you and run away to a different spawn point, meaning you have to find them again.

If you get too close the horse will kick you and you will receive a notification to get closer to the horse, then the horse will run away. The get closer message can be confusing.

What you need to do is stand a good distance away from the horse and start to tame it. If you are a safe distance away the horse will kick but not knock you down.

Get closer to the horse and you will be given the option to feed them sugar.

This will make them easier to tame in the next part. Then click Tame Horse again and you will mount the horse. This starts a mini-game you need to win to tame the horse.

This is a timing game, and you must click at the correct time to stop rising and falling ball in the highlighted section. Do this three times in a row and congratulations, you have tamed the horse. If you fail the horse will run away and spawn in another horse spawning location, so just find the new location and try again. There is a knack to the game so don’t be worried if you don’t win the first time.

Upgrading Horses

A little note on upgrading horse. In Black Desert Mobile you upgrade horses by combining horses you already have, such as combining two-level two horses to create a level 3.

Being able to tame horses is important to upgrading and getting you the best possible horse, so keep taming even if you already have one as it can be put towards an even better one. Good luck horse hunting.
