Epic Seven Tenebria Build Guide

Epic Seven Tenebria Build Guide

Pros

Tenebria has excellent offensive stats, and substantial Area of Effect (AoE) debuffs, such as Defense break, Slow, Sleep, and reduce Combat Readiness (CR). Her Skill 1 (S1) has a high chance of sleep and can be used as a good farmer.

Cons

Tenebria can be easily countered by Immunity or Cleanse. Some players refer to her as very squishy.

Tenebria Summary

Tenebria is a 5 star Fire Mage and perhaps the favorite unit of Smilegate. Since her release, she has been buffed five times. Usually, the primary function Tenebria performs is a defense breaker, but she can also be used as a debuffer with an array of strong debuffs, such as sleep, slow, and reduce CR.

Skills

Skill 1: Dark Explosion (Multiplier: 1.2)

Tenebria attacks with an explosion of dark energy, with a 60% chance to put them to sleep for one turn (the chance can increase to a max of 70%). When an enemy is put to sleep, the caster’s Combat Readiness increases by 50%. However, this skill does not trigger a Dual Attack.

Her normal attack is strong and has both a high damage multiplier (1.2) and a high chance of sleeping an enemy. ML Baal has a higher chance of sleep (about a 75% chance), but if Tenebria can put to sleep an enemy, she can increase her CR by 50%.

Skill 2: Ominous Thunder (Cooldown: 3 turns; Damage Multiplier: 0.8)

She summons ominous thunder to attack all enemies, which decreases Combat Readiness by 20% (has a max of 30%) before it can reduce Speed for two turns. The ability to AoE CR reduction and Slow are excellent skills for Player vs. Player (PvP) battles.

You have to be careful when using this skill if your enemy’s team has a Seaside Bellona (SSB). This skill is free stacks for her because she can destroy your team with her counterattack.

Skill 3: Nightmare (Cooldown: 5 turns, Multiplier: 1.155 to 1.4)

She drops “Moon of Nightmare” on all enemies, with a 70% (a max of 85%) chance of both decreasing Defense for two turns and putting them to sleep for one turn, before increasing the Attack fo the caster for two turns. Her skill has a Soulburn effect, which increases the damage dealt.

Tenebria’s S3 has a high damage multiplier and two strong AoE debuffs in 1 skill, which are Defense break and Sleep. Additionally, it also gives her an Attack buff for two turns.

Keep in mind that Tenebria has a high base Attack (the third-highest Attack in the game). Therefore she can deal huge amounts of damage with her S3. Even more, she can further increase her final damage with the Soulburn effect. However, she is countered by Immunity/Cleanse and anti-debuff units like C. Zerato and other debuffs.

PvE Content

Tenebria is a Fire Mage with two strong AoE skills. So, she can be employed as a fodder farmer if you don’t have any reliable units in your team, such as Vildred, Vildred, or Lena. Unfortunately, Tenebria is not the best candidate for Hunts.

She can also be used in Golem, but there are other units available that can cleave and defense break more effectively than her. Tenebria can also be used in Azimanak with her two strong AoE skills. However, with her many debuffs, she can make the boss self-cleanse and use his ultimate skill.

With her kit, she does not offer any unique resourcefulness in Abyss. Nonetheless, she can be useful in Hell Raid, especially with upcoming bosses, like Hell Vera.

PvP Content

If you are searching for a defense breaker for your offensive cleave team, Tenebria is a good choice. She is not the best, because the unit, Tywin has a 100% AoE defense break and his S2 can push up DPS.

But her S3 has a high damage multiplier, which further increases the damage with the Soulburn effect. Additionally, her sleep is useful if your DPS is not fast enough to get the next turn after a Defense beak. You can put your enemies to sleep to prevent them from cutting your turn.

Like all other debuffers. Her problem is that she needs a strong stripper to remove immunity from enemies, like Basar, Cerise, and ML Lidica. Even more, most standard cleave teams will have trouble when fighting against counter teams that have units like Charles, SSB, and ML Ken.

Another popular way is to build her with a Counter Set to use the full power of her S1. However, she will need to have high Effectiveness, high Speed, and the highest HP as she can have.

Her S1 has a 70% chance to sleep, and it increases 50% CR if she can sleep an enemy, so with a high Speed and an Abyssal Crown artifact, she sleeps enemies for days, stun, and lapping.

This build will only work in RTA, where you can ban Immunity/ Cleanse from an enemy’s team. If you are unable to ban them, you can utilize Tenebria with Lela Violin to dispel their buffs. You can also use her with single-target units because units with AoE skills will wake your enemies up.

For this reason, SSB is her biggest enemy. Tenebria’s AoE skills are like free stacks for SSB who can destroy your tea, faster with her counterattack. Additionally, SSB is an Ice unit, so it is difficult for Tenebria to sleep or Defense break her due to the elemental disadvantage.

Build

If you want to use her as a Defense breaker in a cleave team, you must use a Speed/Hit build with a % Critical Damage Necklace, a % Attack Ring, and Speed Boots. She must have 11 Speed more than your DPS so she can always move ahead of them. In regards to Aritfacts, she can use the Tagahel Book for more souls, the Abyssal Crown for stun, and the Sira Ren, Kal’adra, and Portrail/Tonfa for more damage.

If you want to build her with Counter, you can use a Counter/Immunity set. Try to acquire at least 100% Effectiveness, around 180 to 200 Speed, and the highest HP or Defense you can. You can use the Abyssal Crown to stun or Lela Violin to dispel buffs from enemies, as artifacts.

Overall, Tenebria is, unfortunately, not the best option if you are looking for good units for both PvE and PvP. She offers nothing in PvE and is rather hard to use in PvP.
