Introduction
Gatotkaca “the iron bones” is a tank-type hero, a suitable initiator that has crowd control, and counts with a skill set that can make him both a dangerous ganker and an unkillable bruiser in the late game. If you are the kind of player that loves to be in the front line, then he is your type of hero.

Pros
Heavy armor-based thanks to his passive, can focus on building Magical Defense.
Heavy counter to Damage Heroes.
Good initiation crowd control.
Good CC: Taunt, Slow, and a high AoE CC Skill.
Cons
The ultimate CD is pretty long.
It doesn’t have excellent mobility, can get caught with the guard down easily.

Skills
Passive: “Steel Bones”
Gatotkaca coverts his lost HP into Physical Defense up to 250. Every 6 seconds, to damage at enemies who have more HP than Gatotkaca, regenerates 110-250 HP plus HP equal his Physical Defense.
This passive grants you the ability to last longer in battle and makes Gatotkaca almost “impossible to kill” for damage heroes when his HP is low.
First Skill: “Blast Iron Fist”
Gatotkaca breaks the ground in front of him to deal with 190 Magic Damage. It also deals 30 Magic Damage per second to enemies trapped in the broken ground and slows them by almost 50%. It has a CD of 7.2 seconds.
AoE damage with crowd control. It is a very average skill, and it is not necessary to focus on the power it up because of Gatotkaca being a tanky hero.
Second Skill: “Unbreakable”
Gatotkaca charges forward and loudly screams into a designated direction, provoking enemies to attack him and deals 90 Magic Damage points. The taunt duration depends on how much time Gatotkaca castes this skill. Within the first 2.5 seconds of casting, Gatotkaca reflects damage to close enemies and deals up to 90 plus a percentage of their HP and Magic Damage. It has a CD of 9.9 seconds.
One of his best skills, a gap closer that grants crowd control, deals damage, and one of the main reasons for his great front line game.
Ultimate Skill: “Avatar Of The Guardian”
Gatotkaca jumps to the aimed area, knocking close enemies into the air for 1 second and dealing 500 Magic Damage Points. Enemies near the center area will be knocked for much more time, and enemies on the edge of the skill will be dragged to the center. This skill has a 54 seconds CD.
A blink with AoE Damage and control that, combined to his 2nd skill, can be both an Initiation move or a Finisher move. It also gives Gatotkaca great utility, making him able to gank, turn up fights, or even securing his own survival.
Skill combos
A: 3rd+2nd+1st Combo
The basic combo for initiation and ganking, use the Ultimate skill to hit the enemy team and knock them and immediately after use Unbreakable to make the CC to last longer and obligating the enemy team to stay and keep focusing on you, giving your allies the chance to deal safe explosive damage in a short time. Use 1st skill to secure the main targets.
B: 2nd+1st+3rd combo
Mostly used as an Initiation combo, channel 2nd to taunt the enemy heroes towards you. After that, use 1st to slow the primary target and finish with your ultimate. This combo can secure the successful hit of your ultimate. It also works to turn up the table in team fights.
Spells
Revitalize
Take Revitalize to power up Gatotkaca’s tanky profile and to make him able to take more damage
Vengeance
Use Vengeance to increase 2nd skill and deal more damage
Petrify
Try Petrify to give Gatotkaca another CC skill (stun) and deal more damage
Emblems
Use tank emblems to increase the effect of the passive such as Firmness and Fortress to increase Physical Defense and Tenacity to power up the Low HP bonuses.
Item Build
Boots
Thought Boots are the best option for Gatotkaca due to his need for increasing Magical Defense. Another option can be the Demon Shoes, which regenerates mana and will help you to improve Skill casting.
Core Item
Cursed Helmet is the core item of Gatotkaca due to its considerable increase in Damage, HP, and Magical Defense. It also increases damage by its unique passive called Burning Soul.
2nd item
To increase Magical defense, there are two main options: Oracle and Athena’s Shield. Oracle grants the hero HP, Magical Defense, HP regeneration, and CDR, which works very well with Gatotkaca’s Skill Set. Athena’s Shield offers HP, Magical Defense, and HP regeneration as well. However, its unique passive Shield increases the damage absorption, making it a great item to last longer in battle.
3rd item
Thanks to Gatotkaca’s Passive, there is no primary need to build Physical Defense so you can pick one of three items:
Blade Armor, which only increases defense and works well with the 2nd skill Unbreakable thanks to its unique passive. The immortality that gives more HP and Magical Defense plus a unique passive that increases the survivability called Immortal, which brings back the hero a moment after dying and gives damage absorption. Antique Cuirass, which increases HP, Physical Defense, and HP regeneration, also increases the reduction of damage with its unique passive: Deter.
4th item
To deal with more damage is recommended to pick one of these two items.
Glowing Wand, an item that increases Magic Power and HP. It also grants Movement Speed, which helps Gatotkaca’s ganking game. Its unique passive Scorch gives bonus damage equal to a percentage of the targets current HP.
Lighting Truncheon. It grants Mana, Magic power, and increases CDR by 10%. It counts with a Bonus Damage unique passive as well called Resonate and has AoE too.
5th item.
At last, it is recommended to increase HP, even more, to take max advantage of his passive. In order to do so, you can choose the item called the Sky Guardian Helmet. It gives the hero a considerable increase in HP and HP regeneration.
