Kimmy Mobile Legends Guide

Introduction

Kimmy, the Splat Queen, is not an ordinary Marksman, and not even a traditional Mage. Behind her quirky role and unique mechanics, indeed, there’s a reliable Carry.

As a Carry hero, her primary role is to “carry” the team with her best farm and levels, which allow her to get ahead of enemies. She’s a compelling character to end a match. But before that happens, she has to be protected to safely farm.

Other strong points of her include the fact she can deal damage with a single core item, comes online so much earlier, and can roam and gank with an ally to secure kills and turrets.

Mechanics

Let’s start with the necessary aiming and moving. Kimmy is different from other heroes because she has two control wheels: one for movement and the other for aiming and firing. She continuously fires in the direction you aim with the right-side wheel. She can also move and fire simultaneously. It might come more naturally to you to manage the control balance better after a couple of games, but it’s worth it.

Chemist’s Instinct, her passive, states that she can move and fire at the same time. But her attacks won’t be very accurate, and she will get only 50% physical lifesteal. Plus, all the buffs on Attack Speed will be converted into Movement Speed buffs.

Aiming

In aiming, you mainly have to focus on two things: how to aim and whom to aim.

First, how to aim: always try to move the joystick on the left and keep the “gun” one of the right steady at target. Moving them both at the same time in circles might cause you to miss your targets. Thus you’ll need to practice a bit to get this right.

Second, whom to aim: always try to aim squishy heroes from behind and use your first skill if your enemy is far enough. Don’t forget to make your aim steady by doing what we just said.

Skills

Energy Transformation

Kimmy’s first skill is Energy Transformation. Basically, when it’s turned on, her attacks will deal magic damage. This skill has no cooldown but consumes the energy bar to attack. Usually, the energy bar gets restored slowly, but it can be restored faster by firing a basic attack on enemies/monsters. This skill can be used to attack enemies’ marksmen or mages because it has a long-range. Since it’s also an AOE, it affects all the nearby enemies.

Chemical Refinement

Her second skill is Chemical Refinement. This means Kimmy is able to dash back in the desired direction and make an area contaminated. If enemies are in this contaminated area, they will be slowed down and suffer magic damage in every interval. Using this skill will also refill 40 points of her energy bar. Chemical Refinement is very useful for dodging enemy attacks and also to slow them down in battles, but it can be used to clear minions faster and ensure last hits as well.

Maximum Charge

Her third skill is Maximum Charge. While using her Ulti, Kimmy will charge up and fire a chemical bomb which can deal significant damage to targets. The longer you charge, the wider the range. This skill can be used for finishing off running enemies because of its burst damage and long-range.

Builds & Emblem Set

Kim’s physical build is probably the most popular build in current meta, as it has severe physical and critical damage. The second build is Hybrid Build, which gives both physical and magical damage.

For the physical build, this Emblem set is recommended:

Agility Level 0/3 Movement SPD +2.00% for high movement speed Fatal Level 0/3 Crit Chance +1.20% for great critical damage Bounty Hunter Level 0/1 for more gold after kills

For the hybrid build, this Emblem set is recommended:

Thrill Level 0/3 Hybrid Attack +4.00 for significant hybrid damage Knowledge Level 0/3 for battle spell cooldown reduction Mage Killer Level 0/1 for dealing more damage to lord, turtle, and turrets. It also reduces damage from them.

Laning

Kimmy has the considerable advantage of being able to choose any lane, but she also needs all-time support since she’s a very squishy hero. Heroes like Chou and Kaja are great choices for her help. Always keep in mind to engage in fights only when you have your support hero with you, else you’ll get squished. Finally, maintain a safe distance if you’re low in hp.

Pushing

Because of Kimmy’s high attack speed, it’s quite easy to push turrets with her. After taking down one turret, the next turret gets a shield, which is quite hard to take down. But it’s a joke for Kimmy! She can take this turret down in no time and with minimal effort.

Since you might not always get a perfect matchup or team, pushing is the only way you can carry your game out. When enemies gank your team, take that as a great moment to push turrets. This will also have the advantage of distracting them and making them retreat from gank. Keep an eye on the mini-map, and when you see all your enemies are ganking, end it by pushing. Basically, a guaranteed victory!

Taking turtle & lord

Kimmy can take down turtle in solo. If you choose jungle emblem, then it’s even more comfortable. When enemies are distracted, take advantage of that, and quickly go for the lord. It will only take Kimmy a few seconds to end him.

Damage

Kimmy has excellent physical damage, which can melt down the enemy’s hp quickly. Her ult has the right amount of damage as well. When an enemy is low on health, Kimmy’s ult can secure the kill soon. You can also use this ult to spot enemies hiding in the bush. If they are, it’ll hit them. It’s best to use when you’re roaming solo, and enemies aren’t showing on the map, as in that case, it’s recommended to always check before entering a bush. If there’s no one, the shot should pass through.

Pros & Cons of Using Kimmy

Pros:

can move and attack at the same time marksmen with magic damage skills one of the best continuous DPS hero relatively easy and fun to play

Cons:

not very durable very weak against one-hit bursts only enjoys 50% physical lifesteal

Let’s talk about some possible solutions for the cons:

Not very durable – buy one defense item after buying two attack items fragile against one-hit bursts – take Aegis as battle-spell and buy Twilight Armour only enjoys 50% physical lifesteal – use magical lifestyle as well, hence buy Concentrated Energy

Gameplay Tips

Skill Upgrading Order: Skill 1 – Skill 2 – Skill 3

Recommended Battle Spell:

Aegis – to be protected from one-hitters Sprint or Flicker – to flee from ganks or risky situations

Recommended Lane:

Mid-lane – it is recommended because MMs demand more gold and less damage in the early game. After getting 2 or 3 core equipment, you can go and help other teammates. In every minion wave, always try to hit all of them last to get max gold and exp.

All in all, Kim is one of the funniest and most comfortable to learn heroes in Mobile Legends.
