Introduction

Mobile Legends is a game loved by many due to its gameplay and the fact that it is available on mobile devices. The interface is also easy to navigate, and with so many heroes to choose from, one will undoubtedly get hooked.

However, if you are new to this nature of games, you may not be able to play it quickly, or you may not understand the gameplay at first. You may even find it hard to choose a hero that suits your taste. Here is a guide on Karrie, one of the great heroes of Mobile Legends, why you should choose her, and how you will be able to maximize her abilities and prowess.

Who Is Karrie?

Karrie, aka Lost Star, belongs to the Tech Marksman class in Mobile Legends, and her specialty is Reap/Burst. She was released in 2017, and she is most effective in mid-lane. Karrie is a Yasson from Alaghat with human form but strange feet. She has been trained since she was a child. Karrie decided to come to the Land of Dawn to break the spell to save her empire.

Why Choose Karrie?

Karrie is a great Marksman. She can move fast and hit enemies from a distance. She can also deal with considerable damage with targets, even those with big HP bars. She is also one of the greatest anti-tank heroes. However, she is weak in terms of defense.

Karrie’s Stats

  • Karrie costs 24000 in battle points and 499 in diamonds.
  • Movement Speed: 240
  • Physical Attack: 112
  • Physical Defense: 17
  • Magic Power: 0
  • Magic Resistance: 10
  • HP: 2498
  • Mana: 440
  • Attack Speed: 0.84
  • HP Regen Rate: 40
  • Mana Regen Rate: 15

Karrie’s Abilities

Passive: Lightwheel

Karrie’s Passive is called the Lightwheel mark in which when Karrie attacks, a light wheel mark gets attached to the target. After four attacks, true damage to the target is revealed. The true damage is 7-13% of the maximum HP of the goal. Against Creeps, the damage is up to 300.

Phantom Step

One of Karrie’s Active abilities is called Phantom Step (Blink). When using the Phantom step, Karrie dashes towards a specified direction while firing a light wheel to the nearest enemy dealing Physical Damage of 150 (+70% Total Physical ATK) while also adding a Lightwheel Mark to the target. This skill enables Karrie to pass through walls and escape enemies. In Karrie’s Ultimate mode, instead of only one flywheel, Karrie fires 2. It has a cooldown of 2.5s and costs 60 mana.

Spinning Lightwheel

Second is Spinning Lightwheel (Aoe, CC). With this ability, Karrie fires light wheels that slow enemies by 80% continuously that lasts for 1s. It also adds a light wheel to the target. This ability is excellent for clearing lanes and slowing down opponents—Lightwheels deal 200 (+90% Total Physical ATK) to targets. Spinning Lightwheel has a cooldown of 8s and costs 130 mana.

Speedy Lightwheel

And last of Karrie’s active abilities is Speedy Lightwheel (Buff, Burst). With this skill, Karrie enters dual wield mode for 6-10s, depending on the skill level. However, each light wheel only deals half the damage, and attack speed is reduced by 20%. The good side of this is that she gets two lightwell marks, which enable her to use true damage at a faster speed. It has a cooldown of 20s and costs 180 mana.

Builds and Emblems

To maximize Karrie’s passive, make sure that her build is full of damaged items. This will also make her tanky. Or you may also add corrosion scythe for her attack speed to increase. If the enemy is tanky, add DHS in her build for her to quickly melt tanks. A Golden staff will increase life steal.

When starting, it is best to buy a Magic Necklace, and Hunter’s Knife then purchases the Demon’s Shoes. Demon’s Shoes helps increase Karrie’s movement speed and helps in regenerating mana.

Endless Battle is also an excellent item for Karrie as it increases physical attack and mana regeneration. It also increases life steal and movement speed and reduces cool down.

Another excellent item for Karrie is Blade of Despair, which increases the speed of movement and physical attack.

Swift Boots are also high for Karrie to have additional attack speed and movement speed. This is a great starting item.

Haa’s Claws is also a good option for her as it adds physical attack in the amount of 75 and a life steal of 25%. This is also a great starting item.

When getting ganked, to quickly run away from enemies, invest in Electro Flash talent. To slow enemies, Weakness Finder is also a great Emblem. Assassin emblem gives damage early on in the game.

Counters and Teammates

Karrie is strong against Tigreal, Cyclops, and Johnson. Karrie is best against heroes with higher HP as she deals more damage to them. An example of a hero that has a big HP bar is Hylos.

On the other hand, she is weak against Natalia, who is a counter of MMs, Chou, who has many CC skills, Martis, who also has many CC skills, and Guinevere.

She is compatible with Franco, Gatotkaca, and Diggie. She is also best teamed up with Lolita.

Gameplay Tips

When upgrading skills, prioritize the Phantom Step and Speedy light wheel before upgrading Spinning Lightweel because upgrading Speedy Lightwheel will increase Dual Wield Mode duration while improving the Phantom Step causes a decrease in CD and mana consumption. Use Aiges for a battle spell because it provides damage absorbing shield for Karrie. Also, use Inspire as it can be used with Karrie’s Ulti. Purify is also a great battle spell against high CC heroes. Flicker is best to escape enemies if they don’t have much CC.Use Purify more often against heroes like Natalia, Saber, and Hayabusa. It is also best for Karrie to stay with the tank or CC hero. Since Karrie can hit from afar, it is also best for her to stay away from close encounters.
