Items

Building for this pair is a bit of a challenge, as not all items can be used by Kupa. This may mean stacking advantages to be useful for Popol alone or for the two as a team. Jungling, roaming, and active items will only apply to Popol. Weighing the options to benefit the pair’s overall success means balancing their team traits with Popol’s talents.

Increasing Popol’s mobility can be a helpful defensive trait. The Swift Boots raise physical speed, which can allow him to escape or evade enemies. They also increase attack speed to take down his opponents faster and avoid taking as much damage. These are an active item and do not affect Kupa.

The Demon Hunter sword also contributes to a quicker fight with increases in physical attack strength and speed. It also grants a lifesteal passive to the pair so they can replenish lost health.

The item Windtalker boosts attack and speed for the duo. It also gives more power to critical strikes. This sword has a unique passive effect that attacks three enemies at once. This attack has a cooldown that is impacted by Popol and Kupa’s critical chance, making it more likely to occur in battle.

The Blade of Despair gives a small speed boost, and majorly increases physical attack. When opponents are low on health, the attack benefits are boosted, even more, making Popol and Kupa’s strikes more powerful.

Endless battle increases physical attack and improves basic skill strength. It also gives a boost to health while activating a mana regeneration and a lifesteal perk. The duo will experience an increase in speed and will be able to access Popol’s skills more often with a lower cooldown rate.

Raptor machete is a jungling item that cannot be used by Kupa. It will allow Popol to do more damage to monsters and will increase his physical attack and penetration. The machete will allow the pair to gain more money and improve Popol’s speed and skill cool downtime.

Skills

Passive

We are Friends is Popol’s unique passive skill that allows him to call on Kupa. When Kupa has been summoned, he remains near Popol and will help him in battle by attacking nearby enemies and monsters. Popol has several skills that enlist Kupa in battle as he fights. If Kupa is slain, these skills will be replaced with a praying skill that will summon him back. The praying skill takes three seconds to resurrect Kupa and has a long cooldown between uses to prevent Kupa from being called if he dies repeatedly. Additionally, this passive gives an attack boost to Popol for every fourth attack Kupa lands.

Skill 1: Bite’emm Kupa

When Popol uses his first skill, Bite’emm, Kupa!, he releases a spear at the enemy, who is subsequently attacked by Kupa for a few seconds. When selected whileKupa is in his Alpha, the targeted enemy will also be stunned.

Skill 2: Kupa, Help!

Kupa, help! The second skill pulls Kupa immediately to Popol, dealing damage and a speed debuff to any nearby enemies. This also creates a shield around the pair, and Kupa will remain nearby to fend off enemies for a few seconds. When the ultimate skill has activated, the damage dealt with opponents is increased exponentially.

Skill 3: Popol’s Surprise

The third skill, Popol’s Surprise, allows Popol to lay down animal traps that immobilize enemies caught in them. Once the trap is activated, the icy ground underneath it will slow down any enemy who passes through it. These traps stack three times and can be placed on the battlefield for a short duration.

Popol and Kupa’s ultimate skill is We Are Angry. This puts Kupa into Alpha wolf form, which increases his health and attack power. The two also become enraged, which massively increases their speed for a short time.

Popol and Kupa Information

As a duo, these two can be difficult to play as they require a different strategy than other characters. The pair’s stats are the same, aside from their health, which is slightly higher for Popol. Both of them are strong attackers with high ranking offensive abilities.

The pair are weaker in defenses and skills, however, emphasizing their attack power primarily. With their strengths, Popol and Kupa are fantastic at jungling. On the lanes, they can offer very effective attack power to their teammates. If built correctly, they can take even more advantage of their duel power by increasing their mobility and lending power to their skills where they can.

Gameplay

At the start of the game, Popol and Kupa should fight monsters to gain skill upgrades and money for items as quickly as possible. Collecting the monster buffs will also aid in the starting battles and throughout the game.

Once the game is underway, Popol and Kupa will push lanes and gank enemies to help allies take down turrets. His traps can be placed in bushes to prevent enemies from ambushing him, but they are still visible, so they aren’t likely to catch anyone off guard.

Kupa will attack Popol’s enemies or monsters and shield him from blockable attacks when he is nearby. If he is defeated in battle, it is as important for Popol to use prayer to recall when he is low on health. If the two are not togetherPopol’ss low durability is much more likely to get him slain. This pair is strong and can stand up to any singular hero in battle with the right tactics.
