Am I fit to be a caster?
Witch and Wizard are bursty AoE classes. If you’re looking for survivability, we kind of lack that. In BDO, support type classes aren’t really a thing, though we do have important buffs for group PvP. Witch and Wizard are strong in group fights, where AoEs do a lot of damage, and super armor protects us from incoming hits. These AoEs also make Witch and Wiz strong PvE classes.
In a 1v1, we can excel, but not as easily as other classes. We have high accuracy and damage on skills, but that is mostly because late game flows basically add double damage to skills. With the right setup we can be fast, but we aren’t mobile, which makes positioning extra important in PvP.
The high accuracy and damage on skills allows us more flexibility for other builds compared to other classes, but we still need AP need to deal damage. Also, Witch and Wiz are only braindead classes if you’re braindead.
I personally feel that Witch and Wizards, are low skill floor, yet high skill ceiling class. They’re very easy to pick up, and quite simplistic in nature. Big damage in awakening stance, and big heals in staff stance.
As you get closer to the “endgame”, playing the mages become much more challenging. Everyone is under the impression that mages are overpowered, and will beeline for you during a group fight at the first possible moment. 1v1’s are not our strong points, so do expect to lose most 1v1 encounters, unless you’re significantly geared, or are very skilled at the class.
That being said, the mages’ group fighting prowess are second to none. The heals and damage reduction buffs turn the tides of battle, and our large area spells deal massive damage to the enemies on the field. Mages are highly sought after in large siege guilds, and small nodewar guilds alike.
In the end, the mages are what you make them. I personally prefer a glass cannon or assassin playstyle in MMORPG’s, but a support and healer playstyle in MOBA’s and Arcade Shooters. My current choice, the wizard, has fit both of these roles for me, with my only gripe being the ridiculous amount of effort I have to put in to be competitive in 1v1 scenarios.
Good luck, have fun, and most importantly, always enchant with backups.
Witch vs. Wizard
How do I choose?
Witch | Wizard |
Has a buffing block w/ S auto casting | Has a grab and normal S block |
Block is helpful for group fights | Grab makes wizard better at 1v1 |
Earth and Lightning Elements | Fire and Water Elements |
Skills are medium ranged | Skills are mid-ranged / melee |
Weak awakened black spirit rage skill | Very strong awakened black spirit rage skill |
Young | Old |
Better DPS sustain | Burst damage |
Reactive class | Aggressive class |
Boobs | No boobs |
- Picking your gender is a highly intimate and personal decision.
- In the end, it all comes down to which playstyle, elements, and character model you prefer.
- If you’re looking for the more “OP” of the two, know that both are exceptionally strong, and that neither have an distinctive advantage over another. You should play the class you enjoy though.
- Both are very strong at PvE, both are very strong in group PvP, both are not that strong in 1v1s.
- Both have S block
Gear
Witch and Wizard weapons are: Staff, Aad Sphera (Witch) / Godr Sphera (Wizard), Dagger

Az’s 0-200 AP Gearing Guide Infographic: (Found on /r/BlackDesertOnline)
The AP Offhand mentioned in this general guide will be steel dagger.
Use URUGON’Sshoes instead of the Muskan’s and GRIFFON’s instead of Giath’s Helm.
Use the Progression Infographic to progress your gear up to about 200 AP.
Don’t look here before then. Then you can start thinking about different offhands and alternative builds. Some softcap suggestions that people mix and match (assuming TET Dande, TET Boss armor):

Crystals
Crystal Priorities:
1: 5 cast speed
2: 5 crit
3: free up 2x helmet gems
4: free up 2x weapon gems
You should use cheaper crystals early on to save money.
When you progress enough in gear, you can start using food/costumes to make up for some stats to use other crystals.
Example: Kzarka + Boss gear
- Serendia + Mediah Meals when you have 4/4 crit and cast to get 5/5.
- Mediah Meal + Crit Costume when you have 4/4 to get to 5/5.
With the new addition of 10s elixir cd, some more stats can made up with elixirs without having to micromanage elixirs as much. It is still more work to keep up however.
As you move towards the right, you gain more freedom to switch up crystals. You don’t have to use the exact same ones, and some are more free than others like the first cell’s 2x MCI – Power can be anything you want really. The legend for some abbreviations is under the chart.

Offhands – Daggers
Dagger | Stats at TRI/ULT | Notes |
Steel | 34 AP3 monster dmg+1 SP ATK 3 DR3 monster dmg1Slot | Best starting, after high AP the 1 SP attack may end up adding more damage than extra AP from Nouver. This is the main leveling dagger for when you just start. You should use this until you have at least duo yellow accessories and at least some TRI boss before considering other offhands. |
Bronze | 14 AP3 monster dmg23(+23) evasion5 DR88 Acc +1 SP ATK1Slot | Not very useful, since Witch/Wiz has high accuracy modifiers. |
Parrying | 14 AP3 monster dmg27(+81) evasion1 DR+100 HP+ 1 SP ATK1Slot | The DP here is based mostly on evasion, making it very tanky. It has very little difference in offense/defense compared to Rosar. Used for evasion builds. |
Rosar | 15 AP3 monster dmg23(+52) evasion4 DR +1 SP ATK 2Slot | The DP here has less evasion than parrying, but more AP from crystals. |
Nouver | 40 AP5 DR3 monster dmg10% cc resist2Slot | Highest AP offhand, and the 2 slots are very useful for more AP and HP, or 2x +1 crit. Does the most raw damage, but isn’t consistent. Compared to steel dagger, it might do less special atk damage, but is better at breaking blocks and through super armors, and is stronger against groups. This is a small upgrade compared to STEEL, and should not be used until other gear is already upgraded. |
Kutum | 29 AP43 mosnter dmg9(+27) evasion11 Acc6 DR10% ignore resist 2Slot | Hybrid offhand, it provides some tankiness without losing much AP in PvP. The main use for it is the very high PvE damage, causing it to outperform all other daggers in PvE.This doesn’t mean it’s bad for PvP. Required for high level PvE. |
Alternative Gear
For the hipster in you, here is a wall of text about pros and cons for various gear builds people have asked about. Lots of new information has come out in the last few months such as hidden evasion and DR, 2 piece set bonus conversion for Grunil and Rocaba, and new boss gear.
Green Helmets:
Most green helmets have higher evasion than Giath, about 4% TET green vs TET boss and 6% PEN green vs TET boss. The controversy is if 100 hp + some DR > 6% evasion. With AP softcap’s high tested hit rates vs TET boss, a green helmet might not help even here.
Griffon vs Giath:
Griffon’s helm provides 6 DR and 5% resist compared to Giath’s 100HP. As a whole, 6 DR is not very much, but as boss armor goes from TRI to TET, it gains more DR than evasion so the extra DR here may help. However, 100 HP from Giath isn’t to be underestimated as well. So far, no one has tested and published data between the two (it would be very hard to test a difference).
Rocaba:
Like green helmets, Rocaba helmet itself has more evasion than Giath. As a 2-piece set bonus, you supposedly gain 20 evasion (information from the datamine). In total you gain more evasion compared to just boss armor. However, if you swap Bheg’s for the 2nd Rocaba piece, you will be losing accuracy from the Bheg’s. If you swap other boss armor for the 2nd Rocaba piece, you will be losing evasion and DR as well.
Urugon’s vs Muskan’s:
TET Muskan’s: 127 evasion + 39 DR, TET Urugon’s: 84 evasion + 71 DR + 1 movespeed. Urugon’s provides much more DR than Muskans (way more than Giath -> Griffon), which fits into the theme that TET boss gains much more DR and tankiness from TRI. In testing, Urugons have been shown to be tankier than Muskan’s in TET boss setups. This is corroborated by accuracy testing, showing that TET boss has ~10% dodge with Muskan’s, which would mean you are getting hit no matter what anyway so more DR would help you more.
In summary, Urugon’s is better than Muskan’s, but Muskan’s are ok for evasion builds. It is actually very similar to Red Nose vs Dim Tree Armor, with testing differences showing similar numbers to the 200 HP difference between the two armors. If you have Muskan’s already, you might as well use them until further into gear progression, but try to get Urugon’s if you have nothing. Don’t get Muskans to start though.

Guide on Awakening Skills basics: ( Witch / Wizard )
- Decent read-up on skill basics, tells you what skills do and specifics about them.
Another Guide about Skills and other stuff: ( For Wizard )
Skill Guidelines
Pre-Awakening:
- Mostly level secondary dps skills like residual lightning and fireball explosion. Then get big skills like Blizzard and Meteor if possible
- You want to hit 56 for awakening ASAP
Awakening:
- Pre-awakening skills to keep: Protected Area, Speed Spell, Mana Shield, Teleport+Ult Teleport, both heals, Spellbound Heart, Skilled Hunter, Infinite Mastery
- As you move into later levels, you gain more skill points for pre-awakening skills such as:
Mind Training (percent CS stacks on +integer, works on awakening skills too) | Meteor (useful for group fights) |
Freeze (good for small scale PvP) | Blizzard (useful for group fights) |
Frigid Fog (good for small scale PvP) | Lightning (situational) |
Priorities:
Pick these skills first, Red is good for PvP but not necessary in PvE:
- Awakening skills. Some are not necessary unless PvPing or endgame PvE such as Yoke or Chilling Wave. Debuffs are also not necessary (Paralysis, Ritardando)
- Teleport and Ultimate Teleport (why wouldn’t you have these)
- Heals: Healing Aura and Healing Lighthouse
- Buffs: Speed Spell, Spellbound Heart (blue orb), Sage’s Memory, Protected Area, Mana Shield (Both are EXTREMELY important in PvP), Lvl 56 Rabam Healing
- Freeze then Frigid Fog
- Mind Training: + Cast speed for pre-awakened AND awakening on top of 5 cast speed from stats.
- Pre-awakening damage skills: Blizzard, Meteor, Earthquake, Lightning, Chain Lightning, etc
- Absolute skills: You need to level up the pre-awakening to get these in the first place. Don’t worry about these until you have over 1600 SP.
- Level 57 Rabam: Do these after Absolutes because you need to max the prerequisites first
Skill Builds
These are general barebones skill builds. It doesn’t change if you’re a boss alt, or PvE, the skills will remain the same. You get free skill resets before 56, and one more right after awakening. The trees might vary for you, due to new exp buffs without skill exp buffs. Use these as a general idea.

Absolute Skills
Absolute skills are an extra level on top of unawakened staff skills. They require that you completely max out the unawakened skill before taking the absolute skill. You should not be taking absolute skills unless you are level 60 (or even 61) and have at least 1600 SP. Awakened skills will do more DPS and are much safer to use than a slower but strong unawakened skill, so you will need to max awakened skills first.Skill builds are listed in the skill builds section.

Inven Absolute Skills to take by Efficiency [Link]
- Efficient Absolute skill usage – scroll to witch/wiz
- You shouldn’t worry about absolute skills until you have 1600 SP anyway. They are too slow for PvE and situationally used in PvP.
Rabam Skills
NA/EU link: [official]
- You can only pick 1 Rabam for level 56 and one for level 57
- It does not cost SP
- You don’t lock the skill out if you take these, so you can still use Sage’s Memory
Level 56:
Both: Sage’s Memory + Healing Lighthouse – almost instantly full heals you with super armor.
Likely the better choice, but preference can steer you away.
Wizard: Sage’s + Fireball – situationally used, can be taken on preference
Witch: Sage’s + Lightning – situationally used, can be taken on preference
Level 57:
Both:
Swift Earthquake: Does slightly more damage, slightly faster
Trembling Thunder: Super armor slow, SA lasts longer because it’s slower
One does more damage, the other has a slow debuff. However, Swift EQ requires less SP and you really shouldn’t bother with either until you have enough SP to max out absolutes first.
Witch/Wiz Hotbars
Collage of Witch/Wizard Hotbars [Link]
Here is a link to a collage of Witch/Wiz hotbars. They were taken from experienced witches and wizards.
- Blue outline = witch, Red outline = wizard
- The positioning on some of these hotbars may be strange, but this collage is mostly to see which skills people are hotbarring. Position and keys are to your preference!
Summoned Pets
Overall, our pets do little damage but a little damage can add up. They each have a long and telegraphed cc skill that you can use with right click if the pet summon skill is off cooldown. Pets cannot die easily, and can be switched with F. They can be de-summoned by putting the skill on hotbar and using it from there when you get annoyed from them following you all the time.
Ranged Pet
This is Tett (Witch) or Arne (Wizard). Tett is the lightning dude and Arne is the water girl. I personally find that the ranged pets are better for PvE, since they won’t get in the way and the ranged attack can reach farther, allowing the pet to finish off the last few mobs you might have missed.
Melee Pet
This is Gorr (Witch) or Marg (Wizard). Gorr is the rock golem and Marg is the fire golem/demon/thing. The melee pets will stay closer to you and have to close in on enemies to attack. They are useful in that they can block incoming hits since they sometimes will draw auto targeting skills towards them. They can also block other players’ vision in the same way. They are not as useful in PvE since they have to go up to the mobs, but are nice in PvP for the body block.
MP Management
This isn’t ranger, how do we have MP management problems?
The debate about MP management revolves around 3MP sources:
Sphera Training, Mana Drain, and Spellbound Heart
Sphera Training – This involves leveling up Sphera Training to be effective. You end up spamming A+D and left click to get MP back. It’s fast, but you will be interrupting your combat flow (not skill flows) and it doesn’t do much damage.
Mana Drain – This can be down with or without maxing Mana Drain. The upside is it’s kind of fast and you get all your MP back. The downside is this skill does almost no damage, you’re stationary for the duration, and you swap back to staff mode, which will majorly interrupt your combat flow.
Spellbound Heart – This is my favorite option. It’s an orb that follows you around and gives you MP back while giving you 10% movement speed. You might not get completely full, but you also get MP back from awakening skills. The hazard is in 1v1s, where you have to be careful because you might completely run out.
Skill Add-Ons
A note about Add-Ons: Generally Add-Ons have minimal differences between each other. They will work for PvP or PvE. The only main one to get for PvE is the +20 monster damage (which skill it’s on depends on Witch/Wiz). Certain add-ons do not stack. The same buff/debuff can’t be applied at the same time, unless one is from a skill main effect.

Special Mechanics
Witch and Wizard don’t really have animation cancels like other classes.
Witch:
- Using Toxic Field (E awakening) will draw mobs towards it. This includes tamer pets and witch/wizard summons.
- Queuing teleport ( pressing Shift + Spacebar ), and then immediately facing another direction than the one faced when the buttons are pressed, will project a “fake” teleport animation towards the initial direction, while actually teleporting towards the second one.
- Magical evasion, earth’s response, and teleport cancel Healing Lighthouse
- Enabling mouse movements can let you turn certain skills immediately after casting: Blizzard, Teleport, Thunderbolt, Yoke of Ordeal are some examples
Wizard:
- Using Lava Field (E awakening) will draw mobs towards it.
- Enabling mouse movements can let you turn certain skills immediately after casting: Blizzard, Teleport, Aqua Jail, Hellfire are some examples
Combos and Rotations
Witch and Wizard don’t really have standard combos/rotations. Both classes are very situational, and you should learn which of your 6 skills have super armor or block to use them accordingly. You can learn about your skills and their effects here.
In PvE, skills are still situational. Most Witch/Wizard skills do enough damage on their own to not require combos in PvE. Then it’s just a matter of knowing which of your skills have flows and do big damage, and using those skills when they’re off cooldown.
An example of a PvP situation is like:
Freeze on CD, a Sorc tries to hop in and CC, so a Witch charges up Voltiac Pulse. Voltiac has SA which prevents CC, and then causes bound. Then you can use equilibrium break which gets a down attack multiplier on bounds for extra damage.
You can be a brain dead Witch/Wizard and just blindly roll AoEs at groups, or you can master your skills and actually get good.
Stats
Stats in BDO, if you’re new to the game, are different from your traditional MMORPG. Many stats are hidden, including the damage you deal, and even whether your attacks miss or hits.
Offensive stats
Level | Levels in BDO are similar to most MMORPG’s. You get higher level, you get stronger. However, gear in this game is not bound by level requirements. Instead, a higher leveled player has a higher chance to land attacks and deal crowd control effects, thus dealing more damage. Skills also deal a lot more damage as you level, thus making you stronger overall. 58 is about average for the PvP scene, and 60 is soft cap, which is not uncommon either. |
AP | AP is your main offensive stat. The more AP you have, the more damage you deal. It is advisable to get as much AP as possible to allow faster farming, and to deal more damage to players |
Accuracy | Most of your skills will be multi-hit, meaning the damage is split up between multiple strikes of the same attack. Since each hit has a chance to miss, not having enough accuracy will severely dampen your effective damage. Generally, having a Bheg’s Gloves, Kzarka Staff, and a TRI: Red Coral Earring, will be enough to land an adequate amount of hits. |
MP | MP is used to cast skills. Not having enough MP means not being able to cast skills. Generally, using the right rotation of skills is enough keep our MP up. However, Magical Shield will consume your mana to reduce taken damage. Keep a couple of MP Potions in case things get hairy. |
Stamina | Used to perform actions such as jumping or sprinting. Also used to evade (Shift + Direction). You will generally have enough stamina gained from regular play. |
Casting Speed | Allows faster casting of skills. A total of 5 levels of casting speed is available. Further casting speed can be obtained via buffs. 5 Casting Speed is recommended at all combat times. Percent casting speeds (buffs, Mind Training) will stack on top of integer numbers (+1,+2,etc) |
Critical Hit Rate | Allows for you attacks to deal critical damage. 5 Critical Hit Rate levels are recommended for combat times. However, prioritize Casting Speed over Critical Hit Rate. |
Attack Speed | Not used for Witches and Wizards. Note: No single class will use both Attack Speed and Casting Speed. |
Defensive stats
HP | Improves survivability. The witch and wizard is naturally “squishy”, so ample HP is recommended for PvP, and endgame PvE play. |
DP | A combination of damage reduction (DR) and evasion. Some accessories prioritize DR, while others prioritize evasion. Armors are a mix of both, with Boss Gear having generally more evasion. A breakdown of each gear’s DR and Evasion value can be found here.Damage Reduction – Damage reduced from attacks that land. Note that although damage from the attacks are reduced, crowd control effects still affect the character.Evasion – Higher evasion means less hits landing. That means less crowd control effects, and less total damage that actually hits your character. Muskan’s Boots, along with Rosar/Krea/Parrying Dagger provide an hefty amount of evasion. Evasion is a favored counter to “AP Builds” where a player prioritizes high AP without adequate accuracy. |
CC Resistance | Crystals will be your main source of crowd control resistance. Manos gem accessories are also via, however inefficient. |
Movement Speed | Stat that allows faster movement in general. Recommend to get this as high as possible for faster grinding and movement on battlefields. |

- Do I need Red Coral Earrings?
- Current data suggests that we do not need RCE. With accuracy reaching nearly 90% vs TET boss with AP gear, we also have accuracy stacked with skills. It may be useful to use against evasion enemies, but those are fairly rare. The following is previous suggestions:
- 1x TRI: Red Coral Earring, along with Bheg’s Gloves, and Kzarka Staff is generally recommended to reach an optimal level of accuracy for PvP.
- A rough order of earrings are:
DUO Witch’s Earrings < TRI: Red Coral Earrings
TRI: Red Coral Earrings = TRI: Witch’s Earrings
TRI: Witch’s Earring < TRI: Tungrad Earrings
TRI: Tungrad Earrings < TET: Red Coral Earrings - About 50% of people go 2x AP earrings, and the other 50% go 1 RCE + 1 AP earring. A few do 2x RCE.

Skills
Blizzard has been changed to have Split damage. That means, instead of every target receiving the full damage of the skill, the damage is now splits and is lower the more targets are hit. This change means Getting absolute blizzard is pointless.
However, if during node war/sieges/fights you feel the CD of the blizzard is too long, leveling it to tier 3 is not a bad option.
Skill build recommendations (Contribution by the one and only Presbyter!)
Level 1 to 56:
First of all take this note, our pre awakening before absolute feels slow and weak. Its normal. The skill we recommend you to have for damage:
– Chain lightning
– Fire ball + explosion
– Multiple Magic arrows
– Lightning + Residual lightning
At level 56, after completing the awakening quest you will receive a reward from black spirit to reset your skills.
Your goal for 56 should be something like this:
Witch https://bdocodex.com/us/skillcalc/85704/
Wizard https://bdocodex.com/us/skillcalc/85703
If you are not close to that, priorities:
– All awakening skills you are able to take (for wizard exclude chilling wave, witch exclude equilibrium break)
– Mind Training (cast speed)
– Teleport
– Healing aura and Healing lighthouse
– Speed spell
– Infinite mastery (HP passive)
– Skilled Hunter
– Sage’s memory
– If you feel lack of mana, Spellbound heart (can be excluded)
Up to level 60, your priority is to maximize all awakening skills (wizard excludes chilling wave + Flow, witch excludes Equilibrium break + Flow).
To be fully PVP ready, your aim is around 1600 ~ 1800 SP.
Witch https://bdocodex.com/us/skillcalc/85710
Wizard https://bdocodex.com/us/skillcalc/85711
Skill prioritises (Witch):
– Magical Shield
– Protected Area (Nodewars)
– Absolute Meteor
– Absolute Fireball explosion
– Absolute Multiple Magic arrows
– Absolute residual lightning
– Absolute dagger stab
– Blizzard III (Only for node wars and only if you feel the CD is too long on blizzard I)
Past that, the choice depends on player.
Witch RABAM Notes:
level 56 – Sage’s Light. It is the best thing to support your team members, very good for pvp in all scales and pve in all scales.
level 57 – swiftness earthquake. PVE Usage only, nice for quick pulls when grinding.
Skill Priorities (Wizard):
– Magical Shield
– Protected Area (Nodewars)
– Absolute Meteor
– Absolute Fireball explosion
– Absolute Multiple Magic arrows
– Absolute Dagger Stab
– Absolute residual lightning
– Blizzard III (Only for node wars and only if you feel the CD is too long on blizzard I).
Past that, the choice depends on player.
Wizard RABAM Notes:
level 56 – Sage’s Light. Again, for all scenarios it is the most recommended. However, Sage’s Rage is an ok option for PVE and sometimes 1v1 cases.
level 57 – swiftness earthquake. PVE Usage only, nice for quick pulls when grinding.
Addons
Addons are extra effects added to your skills. You can select up to 3 pre awakened skills and up to 3 awakened skills (all unlocked at level 60). You can switch your addons around by either using memory fragments or by having Cliff’s skill add-on guide (Pearl item) at the skill manager. Skill addons do not affect Rabam skills.
Since addons depend on play style and preference, listed below are examples of good players from witch/wiz discord.
Latis / Smirkes (Wizard)
Earthquake – Mix PvE/PvP addon, keeping the 20% crit up is easy in PvE as i do 1 tick of it for pulling the mobs (Aak/hyst) and is our only good accuracy buff.
Fireball – Mix PvE/PvP addon, our highest source of mob damage at 25 and has 100% uptime if you’re keeping track, the 10% casting stacks with everything else you do making combos extremely smooth in PvP if you rabam cancel
MMA – Mix PvE/PvP Use it for last hitting in PvE, Okay 5 pvp AP.
Hellfire – Entirely PvE, though the crit if useful for the awakened kill combo, casting speed is there entirely cause i find the DoT damage on it redundant as i’m never going to use this skill in pvp except when i’m 100% safe and using it too kill people.
Jail – Also PvE, Best source of mob AP in the awake kit
Cata – PvP, Best self buffs % evasion is always busted
Skarium (Witch)
Presbyter (Witch) – PVP focused.

Satomi (Witch) – PVP focused

Gear
The 0-200 AP Guide found on discord is still the most up to date. The only thing to take notice is that you should not be getting Red coral earrings as part of your main build.
For new players and low geared people, the recommendation is still Kzarka Staff. Why? Because it is much easier to obtain compared to offin.
At a higher gear tier, the advantage of Offin lies with bringing up your Pre-awakening bracket to 261 – 269. The +2 crit is also nice touch, but not the major part. These are the brackets which I recommend people who obtained offin to use. If you are able to reach the same Pre-awakening AP with Kzarka, you are better off using it as the higher the gear, the more accuracy can benefit you. It is not wrong to use either one.
Black Star
Will be re-written eventually.
Green Awakening VS Blue awakening
For new players, It is recommend to take the Green awakening (Pri aad sphera/Tati Godr Sphera) because it is cheaper and easier to repair (Altinova weapon merchant sells them).
It is better to save the money for the Dandelion awakening weapon in the future.
End game Builds (By Latis)
Important note: bdoplanner does not display the +2 AP/+2 DP given from leveling up to 56, 60 and from Bartli journal. All builds include crystal setup up!
Regarding cobelinus (if you don’t have garmoth); BON for wizards and JIN for witches.
baseline gear – applies to both classes, Caphras levels are; Level 3 on Dim Tree, Urugon, Bheg and Griffon
Please note bdocodex does not add any bonus AP/DP from level ups or journals. This lacks 2 AP and 2 DP (Currently).
Wizard (and other evasion style classes such as mystic and striker or if you want to go evasion…)
https://bdoplanner.com/FliesHeidelOgre
The difference in base evasion between wizard and witch is 20. However, this build is essentially better for wizard thanks to 3 SAs. Caphras levels are; Level 1 Kzarka, Level 3 Dande, Level 3 Dim tree and Muskan, Level 13 Heve helm, Level 11 heve gloves.
Progression from here is pen weapons into pen armours, Muskan -> Dim -> Leebur
Witch (and other DR style classes such as valk, warrior, zerker or if you just don’t want to go evasion)
https://bdoplanner.com/CantusaSkunkyTrader
This is a full DR focused build, fitting classes with block or a lot of Frontal guards. Witch only DR gear, Caphras levels are; Level 4 on Dim, Griffon, Ururgon, Bheg. Level 4 Kzarka and Level 2 Dandelion.
Witches unfortunately have a very steep build path from here, going into Pen armours Bheg -> Uru or Dim -> Griffon.
End game grind zones
Aakman
Arguably the best end game spot for both witch and wizard, Money wise. The minimum AP you should have is 240+ with TET Kutum offhand. Here is a link to a guide made by Jackiefelix for aakman
and if you are lost
Underwater Temple
The (at the moment) future end-game grind zone to come. This information was provided by a lovely korean streamer romeo https://www.twitch.tv/gkhy
Minimum AP : 280 (with Nouver). Minimum DP: 320.
Class ranking for grinding there: Top tier are mystic and zerker. Good tier are Sorc, Lahn, Ranger, Darkknight and Valk. Ok tier are Warrior, archer, tamer, musa, maewha, ninja, kuno. Sadly, witch and wizard are probably the worst class for the zone.
Note, as there are not many strikers in Korea, there is no info.
Mirumok
The at-the-moment best EXP group grinding spots (up to 3 people for money + 2 more can leech for EXP). Requirement starts from 235 AP with TET Kutum. At 269+ kutum AP some classes are able to solo.
Gyfin
Another group PVE content, considered lesser compared to Mirumok but is for a 5 man party.
Star Grave
Will be re-written. Major point of the spot : Corrupted earrings (should be added soon).
Minimum AP: 280 (Nouver) / 269 (Kutum). Minimum DP: 320.

The eternal question: Who is better?
Both witch and wizard have their own advantages based on style. Wizard is more fit for open-field fights and 1v1 style, while the witch is stronger in choke area fights. Both can be good at the other points as well. It all depends on your skill and gear.
