Introduction
BDO world bosses are an amazing opportunity to get boss-gear weapons and earn a lot of money in the game. However, getting killed by them can damage your crystals and may even drop your EXP, so be careful. Using a Boss Alt character is the best solution for this problem getting loot without damaging your main character.
Boss Alts camp at a specific Boss, approach it once it spawns, hit it at least once, and wait around 5-10 minutes for it to die.
Rangers, archers, witches, and wizards would be the best character option here because you want to minimize the risk of your low-level Boss Alt character dying while you’re trying to hit the boss. Once you acquire the loot, just log out of your boss alt.
Boss Notification
To make it easier to know when world bosses spawn, make sure to turn on the “Boss notification” feature in-game, by pressing Adventure -> Boss Notification.
You will now see an alert in the corner once a boss is about to spawn. You can customize the minutes you will see, but I recommend having it set up to 30 minutes, 15 minutes, and 5 minutes left.
How to Make Money Using World Boss Alt Characters
How To Make a Boss Alt
We will be creating a Garmoth alt in this example, the same principle can be applied to all other bosses as well. To start, your Boss Alt character has first to complete the “About the Crimson Dragon Garmoth” quest. Then get the character to level 56 or higher. Equip the character with some decent gear(could be tuvala gear from the season if you played it). This is my current setup for Garmoth 216/198/238
Once that’s done, you may then open your map and proceed to Garmoth’s Nest.
Your character now will always be at Garmoths nest, so you can easily kill Garmoth once he spawns. When the boss is about to spawn, just switch to your character stationed at Garmoths nest, run up to Garmoth, and shoot as much as necessary to get at least one successful hit.
After hitting the boss, you may hide and wait for it to die for you to acquire your loot or keep hitting it. Once Garmoth is dead, loot him and log out of that character. You can now use this character each time Garmoth spawns without having to worry about running there. Garmoth is something that you should not miss because you can earn a lot of money by just sitting on the corner if you get lucky, so creating this alt is highly recommended.
Garmoth the Red Dragon
Garmoth spawns every Sunday at 19:00 CEST or 17:00 PST, every Tuesday at 22:15 CEST or 20:15 PST, and every Thursday at 22:15 CEST or 20:15 PST. The Crimson Dragon appears at these specific times in Drieghan, which is situated south of Heidel. The schedules change from time to time, so make sure to check out the latest schedule. You can also enable boss spawn alerts in advance in-game like shown earlier.
Garmoth Loot
If you are lucky, you can get Garmoths heart, worth 8.4 billion silver on the EU servers at the moment. You can also get Garmoth’s Horn/Scale, Combined Magic Crystal, Caphras Stone Bundle, Magical Black Stone, Cron Stones, and more.
Nightmarish Kzarka
Kzarka spawns daily inside the Serendia Temple situated south of Heidel. In fighting the Lord of Corruption, you can get Kzarka’s Sealed Weapon Box, Kzarka’s Latent Aura, Gold Bar 10G, Black Stones for both Armor and Weapon, Hunter’s Seal, silver amounting up to 250000, and more.
After getting your Boss Alt character to level 56, head on to the Serendia Temple and take all the left turns to reach the Boss’ location. Once Kzarka spawns, try to hit him a couple of times from behind because he has frontal attacks.
After hitting the World Boss successfully, you can take cover behind the pillars and wait for the boss to die. Beware of his Melee Cleave, Range Hit, and Breath attacks.
The Breath attack is the deadliest of all his abilities, but it is very easy to evade because of its long cast time. In the event that you die, you can resurrect at the nearest safe zone, which will be by the Node Manager. You can then return to Kzarka to acquire your loot after he dies.
Stormbringer Karanda
Karanda spawns daily in the Karanda Ridge situated north-east of Calpheon and south-west of Velia. The best thing about playing Karanda is that you can loot the Dandelion weapon box from this World Boss, which is used as an awakening weapon.
On top of that, you can expect to loot Karanda’s Latent Aura, Lustrous Feather, Hunter’s Seal, Black Stones for both Armor and Weapon, Gold Bar 10G, and more. After doing the quest and getting your character to level 56, head on to Karanda Ridge, where the boss spawns.
Once the boss spawns, you can then attack and hit the boss to acquire your loot right after. Beware of her Shriek, Wing Slash, Harpy Horde, and Ascend attacks.
Karanda is one of the most popular of all the bosses, and she’s something that you definitely should consider playing to get the most awesome loot in the game. She is also close to other cities, making it easy to reach her in time if you don’t want to park your boss alt there. There’s also the option of parking your character at bandit dens byway because then you can do Dim Tree, Red nose aswell as Karanda on the same character, just make sure you get a good horse if you go this route.
Vell Sea Monster
Vell spawns every Sunday at 16:00 CEST or 14:00 PST and every Wednesday at 19:00 CEST or 17:00 PST. The Ocean Raid World Boss appears in these specific times in Margoria, which is situated north of Lema Island.
You can loot Vell’s Heart/Fine Powder/Concentrated Magic, Rainbow Coral Ring, Coral Piece, Cron Stone, and other rare items in this raid. To take part in this raid, head on to the port village of Velia, where you can get on board a boat that will take you in the middle of the ocean.
There are three ways to reach Vell’s position. First, onboard your Epheria Sailboat, Second, receive an invite from a party or platoon, and third, use rowboats.
Only cannons and matchlocks can damage Vell. If you’re in a platoon, you will automatically get the loot as long as one of your members hits Vell with either matchlock or cannon. This is a very easy and unique fight where you can sit back and relax.
Mirumok Destroyer Offin
Offin spawns every Monday at 12:00 CEST or 10:00 PST, every Wednesday at 16:00 CEST or 14:00 PST, and every Saturday at 02:00 CEST or 00:00 PST.
He is the strongest World Boss who spawns in Holo Forest situated south of the Mirumok Ruins. In destroying Offin, you can loot the rarest Valtarra Eclipsed Belt as well as the Offin Tett’s Radiant Weapon if you are lucky.
Unlike other World Bosses, there are four (4) opportunities for you to loot Offin:
- From picking up items after the boss is defeated.
- Be among the top 30 adventurers that caused Mirumok Destroyer Offin’s most damage to get extra rewards.
- Be among the top 30 adventurers that caused the most damage to Destroyer Offin’s shield to get special rewards.
- If you destroy the Roots of Offin, you will be rewarded with the rarest item.
To get started, complete the quest and head on to slaughter foxes for a couple of minutes so that you can get the Boss Alt character to level 56. Once that’s done, you can then proceed to Offin’s spawn location deep in the Holo Forest.
Unlike the other World Bosses that you might have encountered, Offin is much stronger. You can often die in this fight compared to the other Boss Fights. With the loot and money that you can acquire, it is something that you should consider putting him on your list if you haven’t fought him already.
Ancient Kutum
Kutum spawns daily in the Scarlet Sand Chamber situated in the Valencia Desert. You can loot Kutum’s Sealed Sub-Weapon Box, Kutum’s Latent Aura, Hunter’s Seal, Black Stones, Gold Bar 10G, and silver, amounting to 250000 maximum.
He lives underground, so you will have to access the boss by traversing a tunnel. Occasionally, Kutum will send out his Lightning Explosion, so make sure to take cover after taking your successful hit. The Boss’ location is quite remote in a desert, so fewer people are interested in fighting him. This is an advantage because it increases your chance to acquire the boss gear considering less competition.
Bloodstorm Nouver
Nouver spawns daily in Sand Grain Bazaar situated in the Valencia Desert. After fighting Bloodstorm Nouver, you can loot Nouver Sub-Weapon, Belongings of an Adventurer, Magical Black Stones, Crystals, and more.
Upon reaching Sand Grain Bazaar, open your map to see Nouver’s location and head directly to him. Take note that if you die in Nouver, you will not resurrect in the nearest safe zone but the nearest town instead.
He is a gigantic dragon, so it will be pretty easy to find him. Just like Ancient Kutum, not many people would fight Bloodstorm Nouver, which is to your advantage.
Muraka the King of Ogre
Muraka spawns every Wednesday at 21:15 CEST or 19:10 PST and every Saturday at 16:00 CEST or 14:00 PST. The highly dangerous Ogre appears at these specific times in Mansha Forest situated west of Calpheon. People usually do Quint and Muraka right after each other, Quint first, then Muraka, but it might depend on your region.
You can loot the Dim Ogre Ring, Mutant Enhancer, Hunter’s Seal, Black Stones, and more.
After hitting the boss, make sure to keep your distance to evade his powerful sweep, jump attack, smash, and stomp. Luckily, Muraka’s attacks are rather slow, so avoiding them should be pretty easy for you.
Quint
Quint spawns every Wednesday at 21:15 CEST or 19:10 PST and every Saturday at 16:00 CEST or 14:00 PST. He is the first Ancient Troll, and he appears in these specific times in Quint Hill, situated southeast of Epheria Port.
You can loot Quint Statue, Mutant Enhancer, Black Stones, Hunter’s Seal, and more in fighting the enormous troll. Once you face the Troll Boss, expect that he will swing, smash, stomp, and roll in attacking his enemies.
Although Quint will not drop items as rare as Muraka’s, you can still consider fighting him if you’re already in the desert. It will be a quicker and easier fight with a considerable amount of loot.
