Black Desert BDO Things To Do While AFK

A lot of the Black Desert activities are a massive time sink, so for some of these, you’ll be better off doing them whilst AFK. Without further ado, let’s start.

Leveling Strength and Stamina

 5. Coming in at number 5 is leveling strength and stamina.

The feature is called Auto Pathing. Basically, it allows you to set a patrol point that your character will run up and down until canceled. In any other game, this would be fairly useless, but not in the Black Desert.

Let’s start off with strength. When you level your strength, it increases your character’s maximum weight capacity, meaning that you can carry more items and silver before being slowed down by them.

To level this up, you will need to be carrying a trade pack.

There are two ways of getting these. You can either craft one with the required materials, or you can simply purchase one from any town trade manager. Once the pack is equipped, you go to the map and set a waypoint by right-clicking to change it to auto path mode, hold alt on your character until a green mark appears, and then left-click. This now means your character will endlessly patrol until you stop it.

Make sure that you do this in a town or safe zone. Otherwise, you will probably end up getting killed whilst you’re AFK.

To level up stamina, you do exactly the same thing, but this time without a trade pack, you simply run up and down the street. It’s also worth mentioning that you can do something similar to this to level your mount up to level 30.

As he or she levels, they will get new abilities, like, for example, leveling up a horse can take a very long time, but this can be made a lot easier by simply setting a patrol path, or setting a long waypoint across the map

Travel Long Distances

 4. At number four, we have traveling long distances.

This might sound like a dumb thing to mention, but further down the line, traveling can take a long time. Sometimes 20 to 30 minutes of mounted trouble is necessary, so the best thing to do is setting and auto path, get on your horse, and AFK.

Feed Workers and Manage Nodes

 3. Coming in at number three are work orders and nodes.

In Black Desert, you can send NPCs to form materials for yourself, so before you head out for the day or just go AFK, make sure you get your workers loaded up with work to be getting on with. You can start orders so that one worker will repeat the same order until they require feeding.

Processing

 2. At number two, we have processing materials.

Things like cooking and alchemy can take a long time if you’ve got a lot of materials, so the best thing to do is withdraw all the materials that you’ve banked up over time from either gathering them in yourself or from your workers. Once you have started processing your products, make sure you select for it to repeat the process; otherwise, it will only do it once.

Fishing

 1. The number one thing whilst AFK is fishing.

It’s not only relaxing and enjoyable, but it’s also a great moneymaker. It’s a very easy way to make money: you press spacebar to cast a line, you’re AFK, and then you come back to sell the fish to a trade manager.
