Grock is a Tank unit in Mobile Legends with a Specialty in Crowd Control and Initiator.

Skills

Passive: Ancestral Gift

It augments Grock’s movement speed by 10% and provides between 26 to 180 additional Physical and Magical Defense when Grock is near a wall or a turret.

Skill 1: Power of Nature

This skill increases weapons to sweep adjacent enemies inflicting 300 (plus 40% of his total physical attack) Physical Damage points and slowing the enemies for two seconds. The damage is proportional to the charge time, and if Grock remains near to a wall when he uses this skill, he will be immune to Crowd-Control effects.

Skill 2: Guardian’s Barrier

Grock produces a shockwave towards a specific area and inflicts 300 (plus 50% of his total Physical Attack) Physical Damage points. Additionally, you can block your enemies for five seconds.

Skill 3: Wild Charge

Grock inflicts 300 (plus 50% of his total physical attack) Physical Damage points to enemies on his way.

Item Build

Wooden Mask

This item provides an additional 15 movement speed and has two unique passive abilities called Devotion and Thriving. Devotion allows you to earn two gold and experience points every 4 seconds. Additionally, this gear grants the ability to gain nothing from minions or creeps when your teammates are around for the first six minutes of the match. However, your allies will share the whole XP and Gold. Its second ability, Thriving, grants the capacity to obtain an additional 30% in gold and XP with assists. Therefore, if your gold is rated fifth in your team, you get 20 gold every 4 seconds, and if your XP also ranks fifth, the XP increases to 35 every 4 seconds.

In other words, Grock will carry all the experience and gold.

Rapid Boots

It is footwear available in the shop for purchase that provides an extra 90 movement speed. It has a unique passive ability known as Side Effect, which decreases the hero’s movement speed by 45 points when it inflicts or takes damage. This effect only lasts for five seconds. With this gear, you will be able to roam the map faster and reach enemies easily, especially with Grock’s first skill.

Courage Mask

The Courage Mask yields 25 extra movement speed and has the active skill, Encourage, which augments the movement speed of the hero and the allies near him by 40%. Additionally, it increases physical and magical damage by 29%. This effect only lasts for 3 seconds and has a cooldown period of 75 seconds.

The Courage Mask has HP, cooldown reduction, movement speed, and grants a 10% passive bonus stat for Attack and Defense. The extra 10% bonus stats will increase the Defense stats from his passive skill. Grock can become extremely fast if you combine Rapid Boots, Courage Mask, and his passive skill. You can easily hit enemies with his first skill because you are faster than most enemies.

Guardian Helmet

It is an excellent choice if your team lacks healers, like Estes or Rafaela. This item is useful because Grock already receives Defense stats from his Passive skill. With a Regen passive, it is less necessary to recall to the base after obtaining this item. Usually, the game ends after acquiring this item. If the match lasts a longer time, it is best to add gear that will be able to counter your enemy’s main damage dealer.

If the enemy has magic damage dealers, it is recommended to incorporate the Oracle equipment to further increase the healing properties of the Guardian Helmet. However, if your enemy possesses physical damage dealers, the Antique Cuirass or Blade Armor are better options.

Overall, the best items for Grock are the Rapid Boots, Courage Mask, and Guardian Helmet. This will help you capitalize on Grock’s early-game prowess. Therefore, you will need to end the game fast or maintain a large gold gap when you reach late game. The last three remaining items can be chosen depending on your enemy’s line-up.
