Introduction There’s a popular saying about forgetting the basics; it goes like this “Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the fundamentals.” How does this tie in with a Mobile Legends guide, you ask? Well, it’s merely because to be the best at something, you have to always remember the fundamentals. Gaming, like with […]

With the opening of Season 16 in Mobile Legends, a lot of changes were brought forth, but one thing always remains the same; Kuhfra, the Desert Tyrant, is the undisputed king of crowd control (CC). One of, if not the top ban for Epic to Mythic ranked games. If you're reading this guide, chances are you're having a hard time mastering the art of playing Kuhfra and need further assistance getting those sweet wins. So without further ado, let's dive into it, Role and Specialty If you're new to playing Mobile Legends or if you need a refresher, here's what's up. Khufra's main schtick is being a tank, making sure you beef yourself up with armor, and magic resist one of your top priorities. Forget about playing selfish or playing it too safe, Khufra dominates by getting right up to people's faces. Remember to play him as aggressively as possible and to always be the first one to initiate team fights when necessary. That's why his other primary role is Initiator. You still have to keep in mind that your squishy teammates aren't willing to jump the gun and start a fight (unless their rank is low-tier). Squishy teammates include the support role, the attack damage carry, and the Midlaner. You are what stands between them and a total team wipeout. If you read other guides, they would probably say that Kuhfra's specialty and what makes him different from other tanks is his crowd control. He has crowd control for days, no doubt about that, but he has another. He can dash. You're probably wondering, "What, dash? Almost all offense heroes can dash". True, true, but did you know that Khufra's dash can stop enemies from using blink skills? Don't believe me? You can try it out after this guide. Honestly, if you master the use of his dash, you can stop enemies from escaping and stop enemies from initiating team fights. Nothing feels better than seeing a Guison try to blink to your Midlaner, and you are blocking him from moving. Like I said earlier, when Kuhfra wants to get in your face, he gets in your face. Skills Passive Skill: Spell Curse So what spell curse does is basically it heals Kuhfra. In a more specific sense, every few seconds, his necessary attack range increases. If it wasn't already visible, Khufra is a Melee hero, so this passive gives him so much reach. Once he hits an enemy hero or minion with his extended basic attack, it does magic damage equal to (+120% Total Physical Attack) plus 8% of Max HP. Some quick numbers for those nerds out there who wanna play it seriously. It also grants a slow so right off the bat, crowd control. Every time Khufra throws this basic attack, it heals him for 6% of his Max HP. It's cooldown decreases to 4 seconds per enemy hero hit. First Skill: Tyrant's Revenge So what this does is it launches Khufra towards a specific direction of your choosing, and as he lands, he does physical damage equal to 50 plus 10% of his Max HP. Keep in mind the term Max HP; we'll tackle it again later. This skill, when hitting an enemy hero, immediately makes him stop but knocks all the nearby enemies up dealing 50 plus 10% Max HP worth of physical damage. Be wary of using this skill as it does have a 20-second cooldown. Second Skill: Bouncing Ball Arguably Khufra's primary damage dealer skill. With a cooldown of 10 seconds, this skill is perfect for stomping on enemy heroes in team fights and clearing lanes of enemy minion waves. In ball form, his magical and physical defense shoots up to 75%. Enemies that try to leave his range or go past him with blink get knocked up, and their movement speed is reduced. It deals 30 plus 8% Max HP damage to enemies. Ultimate Skill: Tyrant's Rage Khufra claps back at the haters for his ultimate. Kidding aside, all enemy heroes around Khufra is pulled in front of him. It deals 300 points of physical damage and slows down all affected enemies for 1.25 seconds. If this skill knocks an enemy hero onto a wall, the damage goes up to 150%, and the enemy hero gets stunned instead of slowed. Emblems For the first row in Tank, make sure to balance putting points in Physical Defense and Health. Feel free to modify to your liking. For the second row, make sure to take Cooldown Reduction since it bumps up your overall CD to 10%. Lastly, for talent, make sure to take Brave Smite. Brave smite gives 5% Max HP per CC used, so it helps boost up your damage. Spells For spells, it would make your Khufra play more efficiently if you take Flicker. Flicker can help you bridge the gap when chasing enemies and assist you in repositioning yourself. Plus, the Flicker into Bouncing Ball combo is an excellent cheese to interrupt enemies. For the second spell take the sprint, sprint helps with catching up to enemies or escaping from enemies. Items A well-balanced build would have to be Courage Mask, Warrior Boots, Athena's Shield, Immortality, Antique Cuirass, and Queen's Wings. Though these items are useful, always remember that builds are situational. Adapt to your enemies and allies. Tactics and Strategy The most basic combo you can do is to jump in with first skill making sure to position yourself close to the enemy backline, then ultimate facing backward so the enemies would be pushed further away from their base, then go into the bouncing ball to slow down and stop enemies from escaping. Also, remember that your skills deal a lot of damage, so don't be scared to go all-in when the team requires it. The best-case scenario would be you deal enough damage that the enemies start to run then get picked off one by one. The worst-case scenario would be you dying, but your team cleaning up.
