Obsidian Alloy: Precursor to Black Obsidian Abyssal Weapons

The Resurrection of Darkness questline has seventeen subquests total. The final quest, which is titled Apocalyptic Prophecy, must be completed. After this, you’ll get Obsidian Alloy as a reward from the prince of Mediah who is in Altinova with the quest named “Bareed’s Obisidian Alloy“. The name of this important NPC to watch out for is Bareeds III. 

They are essentially upgraded versions of normal Black Abyssal weapons that have been heated and melted with a special material. The prince of Mediah will give instructions on how to melt the Obsidian Alloy he has generously just granted into Abyssal weapons from scratch.

Use the Black Abyssal Weapon together with the Obsidian Alloy obtained from the quest in heating to get craft the Obsidian Abyssal Weapon.

Sandstorm Sub-Weapon Box

Under the main quests tab in-game, Valencia part one: the “Eastern Sands Kingdom Story” can be located and tracked. The seventh item in this main questline is “Taphtar Plain”. Atui Balacs is a Katan Military Trade Manager who serves as the ultimate completion target at which point you can get Abyssal weapons. 

As the Katan Military Trade Manager, She can be found standing in the Sand Grain Bazaar, where her job is to inspect all of the trade items that pass through Barhan Gateway. When the 17th quest is completed, she will grant the Sandstorm Sub-weapon Box. 

Ultimate Katan Awakening Weapon Box

“The Founding Legend” outlines yet another objective to be fulfilled as the “Eastern Sands Kingdom Story” key point. This obligation exists farther along the main questline but is one of the most important. Once this has been seen through, Atui Balac must be approached yet again. At this point, you can expect the NPC to offer a reward once again. 

This is a long-awaited addition to the game, as much as the two prior Abyssal weapons listed in this article. The likelihood of these awakening weapons and the sub-weapons enhanced is greater than usual.

Notable NPCs

It can be incredibly useful to know what to look for when attempting to close out a quest properly. Bareeds III extends an item that initially belonged to him. 

As mentioned before, Atui Balac’s occupation with the Katan Military requires thoroughly investigating all of the trade items that pass through Barhan Gateway. It should go without saying that she is easy to identify if, and or when, actively sought out.

Summary

• Obsidian Alloy: This is an alloy made of obsidian as the name implies. It allows for the strengthening of Black Abyssal Weapons
• Obsidian Abyssal Longbow: This field item has maximum durability and is bound when obtained.
• The Ultimate Katan Army Sandstorm Sub-weapon Box and the Ultimate Katan Army Awakening Weapon Box: This gift is granted by Atui Balac, who worries about possible danger in the journey ahead. 

It is important however to note that these Abyssal weapons may only be granted one time per family. The Obsidian Abyssal main weapons, Sandstorm Sub-weapons, and Ultimate Katan Awakening weapons can be located and obtained as gifts granted for quests respectively. It is strongly encouraged that the last two, in particular, are acquired.

What is Narchillan Gear?

Introduced with patch 3/24/21, the Narchillan gear is a high-quality gear that can only be acquired by completing Calpheon’s Main quest or having a character level of 56 or above. 

The gear is comparable to Blackstar gear between DUO and TRI and has much of the same bonuses as Blackstar or boss gear. It can’t be sold on the marketplace, nor can it be reverted back to Naru gear. The gear can’t be further enhanced with Caphras Stones. If you are a beginner, Narchillian gear is great to get and best of all it’s completely free!

Several other factors surround the Narchillan Gear, including that Season Characters can’t wear any of the items and that characters with a negative Karma will not benefit from any of its set effects. 

How to Get Narchillan Gear

After reaching level 50, speak to the Black Spirit and go to the Quest Tab and Event Quest Tab. You will see the Special Aid Fughar’s Letter available. One important thing to note is that, in addition to hitting level 50, you must also have completed the Calpheon Main Quest; however, if you’ve managed to get your character beyond level 56, you will not need to complete this quest. 

After accepting the Special Letter quest, you’ll need to find a Fughar NPC. Don’t worry about any specific character. Any Fughar in any town will automatically complete the quest. 

Immediately upon giving them the letter, you will be offered a new quest titled Special Aid A Secret Deal. Like the other quest, this is also very simple. Just speak to another Fulghar and perform the “Alright I accept your offer” dialogue choice.

Now that you have completed those two questlines, you’re all good to go! From here, talk with the Fulghar one more time, and you will see the quest Special Aid from Fughar. It will be several quests to get the Narchillan Gear.

It includes the Sturdy Helmet, Strong Armor, Quick Shoes, Fine Gloves, Sharp Main Weapon, Delicate Sub-weapon, and Powerful Awakening Weapon. Each of the quests essentially will require you to exchange your PEN Naru gear for the Narchillan gear equivalent.

As I mentioned earlier, you will need a regular Family character if you expect to complete the quest. Non-family and season characters will neither be able to complete the quest while active nor wear it once you have collected all of the pieces. 

Getting Naru Gear

If you want the Narchillan gear, you are going to need to have the Naru gear already at PEN enhancement. Now, the process for getting this gear is relatively straightforward. Enhance it to PEN(you don’t need failstacks for this, just click on enhance). 

When doing quests, you’ll receive beginner black stones which can be used to enhance Naru gear or converting it for Naru gear pieces at the Fughar NPC. You’ll need to do is complete the main story quest up until the Serendia region. From there, simply complete the quests, and you will get the Naru Gear.

The gear can also be used as a sacrifice base in order to get PRI Tuvala gear(at PEN). 

Narchillan Gear Stats and Effects

Next, I will go over the different effects that each of the Narchillan items has. 

The Narchillan Armor gives 81 DP, 37 (+111) Evasion, 44 (+16) Damage Reduction, and weighs 21.00 LT. Its individual item effect includes a +200 to Max HP, +100 to Max MP/WP/SP, and +5 to Monster Damage Reduction.

The Narchillan Gloves gives 52 DP, 47 Accuracy, 23 (+69) Evasion, 29 (+11) Damage Reduction, and weighs 10.00 LT. Its individual item effects include All Accuracy Up and a +3 to Monster Damage Reduction. 

The Narchillan Helmet gives 72 DP, 25 (+54) Evasion, 47 (+8) Damage Reduction, and weighs 16.00 LT. Its individual item effects include a +100 to your Max HP and a +3 to Monster Damage Reduction.

The Narchillan Shoes gives 69 DP, 40 (+84) Evasion, 29 (+6) Damage Reduction, and weighs 11.00 LT. Its individual item effects include All Evasion Up, +1 Movement Speed, and +4 to Monster Damage Reduction. 

When combined, the Narchillan gear gives several additional stats: 

If 2 Items are worn as a set, the player receives an additional +5 to Monster Reduction Damage. 

If 3 Items are worn as a set, the player receives a +10% Resistance to Monster Debuffs and +200 to Max Stamina. 

If 4 Items are worn as a set, the player receives a +1 Attack Speed, a +1 Casting Speed, and +100 to Max HP. 

These all stack, meaning that a complete set will grant a character a total effect increase of +274 DP, +125 (+318) Evasion, +149 (+41) Damage Reduction, +400 Max HP, +200 Max Stamina, +100 Max MP/WP/SP, +20 Monster Damage Reduction, All Accuracy & Evasion Up, +1 Movement Speed, +1 Attack Speed, +1 Casting Speed, and +10% Monster Debuff Resistance. 

Narchillan Weapon Stats and Effects

The Narchillan Main Weapon gives an AP Bonus of 109-115, an Accuracy of 188, and weighs 13.50 LT. Its special effects include +16 Additional Damage to All Species, +17 Extra AP against Monsters, and a +3 Attack and Casting Speed.

The Narchillan Sub-Weapon gives an AP Bonus of 28-30, an Accuracy of 12, +16 DP, +9 (+28) Evasion, +7 Damage Reduction, and weighs 15.00 LT. Its special effects include +51 Extra AP against Monsters and Ignores +10% of All Resistances. 

The Narchillan Awakening Weapon has an AP of 109 and 120 and weighs 13.50 LT. Its special effects include +7 Extra Damage to All Species and +8 Extra AP against Monsters. 

Conclusion

There are many great uses for Narchillan gear. Not only is it incredible in and of itself, but it can also be upgraded into the Tuvala Gear and Weapons, making them even more powerful. 

As it stands, however, the Narchillan items can quickly make your character a competent player in the world of BDO, no matter what their class is or what they have to offer.

Not only are these items incredibly easy to get, but they can immediately help build your character into a genuine threat in PvE and PvP matches. 

Blackstar armor is an alternative to boss gear and provides Monster Damage Reduction and increased DP in comparison. It is, however, it is harder to obtain. It can be crafted by following a trail of Quests within the game that uncovers the mystery of the Blackstar. 

This guide will walk you through the Questlines, as well as the different options available. 

Note: The quests can only be completed once per character. After completing the Questline, you have to buy the gear from the marketplace to receive another. This can also be done should you wish to avoid the Quests.

Quest Items

Before you embark on the questline to craft the Blackstar Armor, you will need the following in place:

• Have a Level 56+ character
• Previously completed Calpheon and Mediah Main Story Questlines. 
• Remnants of the Rift Item – This can be obtained as a rare drop when defeating Dark Rift Bosses. 
• Knowledge of “The Three Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah.” This can be obtained by completing another short Questline, “Mediah: The Legendary Blacksmith.” 
• 3 Boss Gear pieces at +0. 

For the armor, you can use any boss weapon or armor piece. 

Specter’s Energy– Found in the following locations:

Starting the Quest

Once everything is in place, the questline will be a lot simpler this way- right-click on the Rift item’s Remnants. From here, you can then locate the NPC: Martha Kiyen.

Martha can be found, to begin with, at the Northern Wheat Plantation. While talking to her, you can choose which Blackstar quest you would like to do. Obtain the weapon or the armor. For this guide, we will follow the route to obtain the armor. Martha then asks for your help investigating the Blackstar due to the dangerous nature of the area. 

Your Quest takes you to Stars End, a prohibited area, to help her. 

Once there, hand over the Remnants of the Rift to Martha and interact with her.

This will lead you to your next Quest. 

Quest- Colossal Black Meteorite: Region Northern Calpheon. 

Thanks to the dangerous nature of the area, Martha hasn’t investigated the colossal meteorite that fell in Star’s End. She asks you to collect some samples for her, “Or even their powder. Anything!” 

Go to the marked location to complete this Quest and interact with the black meteorites located around Stars End to collect their powder. They are marked on the map so they should be easy to find. Head back to Martha, and interact with her again to complete the Quest. 

“Oh, how I have longed for this moment…! All the trouble I have been through was worth it!” 

Quest- A mysterious Death 

After handing over the powder to Martha, it turns out there is more to investigate and more samples to be collected. Including the blood of an animal corpse nearby…something is not quite right in the area, and Martha wants to understand why.

Collect blood from nearby cows and then interact with Martha once more to complete the Quest. 

Quest- Examining the Mysterious Blood

Unable to make much from the blood, Martha asks you to take the blood to Gorgath, an expert in such things. To do this, head over to the Contaminated Farm and speak to Gorgath.

“A strange energy can be felt…You haven’t been to Stars End, have you?”

Interact with Gorgath and complete a few more Quests to analyze the blood together. Gorgath then describes the blood as being like a living, black energy.

This same energy is soon awakened within the blood! Releasing a monster possessed by this black energy.

Defeat the monster and then interact with Gorgath once more. 

Quest- Caphras Journal

After defeating the monster, you interact with Gorgath once again. Your discussion leads you to reveal a desire to awaken the Blackstar. 

Gorgath points you in the direction of Caphras‘ Journal, which is said to contain details of how to awaken the Blackstar. 

The journal can be found in Caphras Cave, located West of Florin.

Go inside the cave and find the secret section within. The journal lays on a bookshelf located above the ladder on the right-hand side of the cave. 

The journal, however, proves hard to read as it is written in an unknown language. 

Take the journal back to Gorgath on the Contaminated Farm, where he can translate the journal for you. 

Gorgath will provide you with the item “Eye of Anguish” after reading the journal and telling you more about the star.

Note: The Eye of Anguish will be needed later on- so keep hold of it.

At this point, the questline splits into two parts and provides you with a choice of paths to take:

1: Easy- To Tarif

This questline sends you to Tarif, giving you a quest to kill 1000 monsters at Helms Post. While this gives you an easier Boss at the end of the Quest, choosing the hard option saves time and sends you straight to Stars End. 

Quest- To Tarif

Here, you need to find someone who knows how to control energy to see the Blackstar possess the Eye of Desolation. 

Head to Allan Serbin in Tarif after talking to Gorgath. 

Allan advises using a magical slate to weaken the Eye of Desolation, sending you on a quest for the Bautt Slates. 

Quest- To the Altar of the Fallen Gods

Head to Northern Calpheon and Star’s End Brazier. Here, sacrifice the Weakened Eye of Desolation and do as the Black Spirit says. 

This will lead you to battle a weakened version of the Boss and obtain the Blackstar Claw. 

From here, follow the guide from “What the Blackstar Left Behind.”

2: Hard- To the Altar of the Fallen God

This sends you straight to the Star’s End Brazier, but the Boss you fight at the end will be a lot harder to defeat. 

At the Brazier is where those three pieces of boss gear come into play to create something called The Eye of Desolation. To do so, go to:

Processing; Heating; Choose 3 Boss Gear Items. 

Heat the items to get 3x concentrated boss aura. Use the manufacture option to combine these with the Eye of Anguish you got from Gorgath. This creates the Eye of Desolation. 

Use this item to summon the more challenging version of the Boss, which you need to defeat. At the Brazier, sacrifice the Eye of Desolation. 

Note: It does take a while for the Boss to appear, so be patient. After defeating the boss offer the eye of desolation to start “What the Blackstar Left Behind”.

Quest- What the Blackstar Left Behind

After your battle, you gain The Claw of the Blackstar. 

Your Quests will take you to find a blacksmith capable of processing the claw and forging it into armor.

Head back to Calpheon and interact with Dobart. 

Note: This is where your knowledge of the Legendary Blacksmiths comes in handy. 

Unfortunately, Dobart cannot handle the material and sends you to Barattan Lancer– the Legendary Blacksmith of Mediah. 

Barattan can be found at helms. However, he also does not know enough about the claw to forge anything. 

By now, you probably feel as if you are on a wild goose chase. But, the third time is the charm. Barattan sends you to find someone called Dorin Morgrim– who was once known as the Genius Blacksmith. Dorim, however, went into hiding, and you need to find him. 

“Go find Dorin Morgrim, the legendary blacksmith. His talent is unmatched!”

Quest- Power of Ancient Ator

Dorim Morgrim can be found at Helms Post in the mines. Head over to Helms Post, find Dorim, and then interact with him to hand the Blackstar Claw over to him. 

“This…! Even I, the god of anvil and hammer, have not seen it before…! It’s utterly beautiful…Magnificent…hahaha!

*Drools*…Did I drool? Ahem…Sorry about that.”

Dorim recognizes the claw and begins to prepare after you hand the claw over.

From here, interact with the Crystal Ball located in the center of the room, then speak to Dorim once more, who imbues the claw with the Ancient Ator’s Power. 

Quest- Blackstar Armor Piece

Having been imbued with Ancient Ator’s Power, the Blackstar Claw has now been forged into an Armor Piece, which you can collect.

Handing over the Specter’s Energy will set the final process in motion to create the armor. Dorin will ask for the Specter’s Energy, as you’ve (hopefully) already obtained it before we embarked on this mission; you can click on Dorin again to hand it over to him. 

Interact with the crystal ball again to start crafting the Blackstar Gear. Dorin will get to work! Once the process has finished, interact with Dorin again to receive the armor!

Congrats! You have now forged the Blackstar Armor!

The requirements are from level 56 to level 60. You can obtain boss gear that is the equivalent of TRI, which is an excellent boost for new players since this would cost billions of silver otherwise.

The Black Spirit Secret Mission I is to kill a thousand Desert Nagas. The Secret Mission II is to do a pile of PIla Fe Scrolls and kill the last boss each time. The Black Spirit Secret Mission III is to turn in a glimmering fairy wing to the Black Spirit. The Black Spirit Mission IV is to obtain five special olive seeds that you may get from plant breeding and hand one over to the Black Spirit. You will do farming when you do this, and farming is just easy.

Here’s are the Black Spirit Secret Mission Quests:

• Mission I: Kill 1000 Desert Naga’s
• Mission II: Kill 5 Khalk’s from Pila Fe Scrolls
• Mission III: Give a Glimmering (Tier 2) Fairy Wings to the Black Spirit
• Mission IV: Obtain 5 Special Olive Seeds via plant breeding and hand one over to BS

Quest Gear Progression Guide

Roaring Magical Armor

This is a reward for a quest While Preparing for Mediah, which occurs in Calpheon at the end of the main story questline from the Black Spirit. You upgrade this armor through the Media questline.

Valencia Questline and Mediah Rewards

The Valencia I questline gives Honorary Combatant’s Gloves And Valiant Katan’s Boots. 

The Black Abyssal Weapon is obtained in the Mediah questline, from dark energy that looms over Media. The quest is called [Boss] The Overlord of Omar Lava Cave. 

The Rugged Valley Helmet is obtained through successful metal casting/the bautt talisman quests.

Dim Magical Sub-weapons

The Dim Magical Subweapons are a reward from the quest Witch Hunting. These can be upgraded like the Dim Magical armor.

Roaring Magical sub-weapon

Stats:

• AP: 17-18
• DP: 12
• Max MP (EP)/WP/SP: 15
• Evasion: 8
• Damage Reduction: 4
• Accuracy: 20

Awakening Weapons

There are no good awakening weapons given in the questline, but the best that we can get is the Black Spirit’s Gift IV (Katan Awakening Weapon).

Freed Magical Accessories

The Freed magical accessories do not break when you enhance them and can be enhanced all the way. To enhance them, you need freed magical stones or repair them with the freed magical shards.

The Red Sand Crystal Ring can be obtained in the Mediah questline and later down the line in Valencia. You can also get the Forest Eye Earring from the Kamasylvia questline, and the Rock Heart Belt from the Drieghan main questline. All of these accessories are easy to obtain and give a nice AP boost.

GEAR BUILDS

For the gear builds, you do not have to do this in any particular order:

* Do the main story quest line until you at least have the armors and the Black Abyssal weapon.

* In between here and there, you can collect the Asula accessories as you go along or do it on the side.

When you do the main storyline, you get to obtain some silver too which can be spent on upgrading your gear.

Grind Spots

Polly’s Forest. They drop great loot and are closely packed together.

Gahaz Bandits. This is a good place to grind if you are looking to level up your fairy as they drop a lot of green weapons. There are elites scattered around the rotations that you have to be careful of because they might kill you.

Blood Wolves. This is the most lucrative spot. You will see elites, a lot of trash loot, and a chance to obtain the eye of the ruins ring and a potion piece.

Bashims and Stone Waragons. Bashims is not the best in terms of cash but is relatively empty as it is not a popular spot. Stone Waragons, on the other hand, is very unpopular. Still, there are elites scattered around the rotations here in which these elites have a spawn timer of just 1 minute that allows you to run back and forth between two elites and not have to do a full rotation. These elites, however, are hard to kill, but they constantly spawn in smaller waragons.

Desert Nagas. Not great loot but can drop Seraph necklaces.

Desert Fogans, and Crescents

For the things that you need before you go on this speed level up from level 58 to 60, you first need the Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom. You need the Chenga Tome to level up through quests quickly.

Aside from the Chenga Tome, what we also recommend picking up is some Fried Fish. One of the quests that you will have to do requires you to have Fried Fish. You can purchase the fried fish from the central marketplace.

You also need a Butcher Knife. It does not matter what kind of Butcher Knife you have, so long as you have the skill level required for using it. You will use it on quests where you are required to gather meat.

Quest Leveling Locations

Brellin Farm

The first location we’re heading is the Brellin farm. There are a bunch of good quests there that gives EXP. When you take on some quests from NPCs, do not take quests with yellow borders that are not full because they do not give much EXP, and you will waste your time on them.

Travel along and take quests from NPCs. Make sure that your Chenga Tome is equipped and complete all the quests in Brellin Farm. After completing all the quests in Brellin Farm, you will be around 26% towards Level 60. If not, there are quests you have missed in the area. There are a total of 4 quest chains for you to complete there, here are the locations of the quests:

Afterwards, go to the Outpost Supply port near Brellin Farm. You should pick up two quest chains in the port. Talk to the node manager at the port, and you should take the one that’s not the repeat one. The second quest is just to the left of the node manager.

There is a man, and you have to take his quest. He asks you, “How many there are?” Answer “922”. After completing the quests here, you will be at around 35% of your EXP.

Calpheon Northwestern Outpost and Star’s End

The Calpheon Northwestern Outpost is your next stop. Here, pass through the area and continue picking up quests from the gate and inside the outpost. Go through all the quests in this area, and after all these, you will reach up to 55% of EXP on your EXP bar.

Afterward, you head on to the Docks of Star’s End. There are two quests here: Back to Reality and Red and Strong require you to kill enemies that are very strong, so it will be difficult to accomplish these quests. Do not do these quests. Go to the docks near Star’s End, and you should pick up an NPC’s quest there. After completing the quests here, you are at around 57% already.

Archer Guard Post and Weenie/Looney Cabin

Head down to the Archer Guard Post next. Do the quests here; you will be at around 59% of EXP.

Next, go to the Weenie Cabin, which is probably in the fog if you are a new player. Talk to the spirit Weenie and obtain quests there. Weenie is in the cabin. It might be difficult to level up through this method if you are a lower gear player.

Next, go to the Looney Cabin, which is south of the Weenie Cabin. If you haven’t played through the main storyline yet, there would be a part of this leveling up process where you would get stuck in. Go to Grana and talk to a villager on the bridge and do the quest, which gives 4% experience.

Next, go to the manshaum forest and do quests until get a quest that requires you to slay manshaums(they are strong mobs so be careful when running around them).

Viv Foretta Hamlet

The Viv Foretta Hamlet is located on top of the mountain. Talk to Norn Federers and do the amity mini-game. You have to spark Norm’s interest for five consecutive times.

Look for items that have sparking interest percent of 100% for a guaranteed spark and near 100%. Complete all the quests in this area and go to the Old Wisdom Tree, and you will be at nearly 97%.

There is an additional quest to talk to an NPC, and you will already reach level 60. If you come short, you may go back to Grana and do some more quests there.

To be able to do this and follow this guide, you must first have been through the guide on how to level up through level 56 to level 57 and our 57-58 guide.

Calpheon

To continue from there, what you should do is start in Calpheon, go to the left and pick up the quest of the Legendary Shield, which is a nine quest chain, then you go to the NPC inside of the kitchen and get a quest from him too. After you have finished his quest, an NPC across him will give you another quest.

Pick up quests from different vendors all over. Some quests are on the ends of the place. Just make sure to pick them up and always keep an eye out for quests because these quests are scattered. Do the Legendary Shield Quest because it unlocks more quests. Accomplish the quests that you take because they even open up for some more.

If you do all these quests in Calpheon, you get up to 50-60% to fill your EXP bar. After finishing these quests, you may have spent more than an hour already, and you may feel bored because you just run around Calpheon accomplishing quests. You may complete every one of them or move on to a different city to try your luck there to accomplish more quests and gain EXP.

Western Guard Camp and Velia

In the Western Guard Camp, go to Duvane and complete his quests. After you complete these quests, you will get another quest from him. Avoid the quest for the Forest of Seclusion one.

In the City of Velia, pick up the quest from Artemio Fiazza, Santo Manzi, Marsella, Bahar, Alfredo, Tachros, Adrian Loggia and the marketplace director. There are also some quests available here only at nighttime from the worker manager. You again have to explore the area and take up quests from the NPCs. You can also go to the alchemist and do his quest. After completing the quests here, you get up to 70% of EXP. You can also pick up the quests for the Oquillas Eye all the way until the quest “Letter from a dear one”, which involves running around in Velia. Next, head over to Heidel.

Leveling Up In Heidel and Tariff

In Heidel, you do two quests from the Inn Keeper in the tavern, and you also get a quest from Lara.

After that, you already have 72% of EXP. You should go next to Tariff and stop on the road to Tariff. Pick up quests there.

Follow the path to Tariff and continue doing quests there until you reach Tariff and complete all the quests in Tariff too. Some of the quests that you have to do include talking to NPCs, carrying items, and even combat quests. Side quests will also open up after you are done with some quests. After this area, you already have around 85% of EXP on your EXP bar.

After Tariff, what you can do is to continue advancing through the desert. With that, you can do quests in areas there and complete the leveling process to level 59. Or what you can also do is to go back towards Calpheon. You may opt to go back to Calpheon instead because as you attempt to level up from level 59 to 60, we recommend you being in Calpheon.

Back To Calpheon

Go to Glish and complete the 3 quests there from Barrios and Piarre. Also, Seilane gives an inventory expansion quest. After this, you should be around 88% of EXP.

Go to Keplan and do the quest there from Irellio Lucci, which will level you up to approximately 93%. It will send you to Oze’s House, complete that one and then go to the Oze Pass node.

At this point, you are at around 97%. Go to Trina Fort to complete your final quests there. Congrats, you are now level 59!

If you are still missing EXP you can go to Moretti Plantation if you haven’t completed all the quests there or back to Calpheon and complete additional quests there. You can also see our 57-58 guide for additional quests.

It may be challenging to level up for some people, especially as your level gets higher; it is more challenging to level up even more. This is a guide to help you how to level up quickly from level 56 to 57 by using quests only(no grinding).

Firstly, you need the item Adventurer’s Tome, which you will get from a quest from the Black Spirit somewhere around level 53. Even if you have thrown the Adventurer’s Tome away, if you talk to the Black Spirit, he will give you another. Then, go to the quest tab and find a quest that says Level 53: The Adventurer’s Tome regarding the Legend of Chenga. It would be best if you did this quest, and it might take quite a time. It takes 170 energy to complete. You will have to go through quizzes that you have to spend energy on in the quest.

After completing the quest, you will obtain the Chenga Tome of Wisdom. Equip this item while doing the quests for additional EXP. It enables you to increase your experience from the quests that you do by 30%. With this, you can easily reach level 61 without having to do a lot of side quests.

Level 56-57

Remember only to pick up quests with full yellow borders as these are the ones that give good EXP.

First, go to Moretti Plantation. Find all the side quests, and do them, head out to the world and finish these quests.

Next, you should go to the Eastern Gateway and pick up all of the quests available there and finish all of these quests.

Afterward, you take the woods to the Bloody Monastery, where you will also meet NPCs who will give you more quests that you must also pick up to help you level up. Some of them are located on the road as well. Then you should go to the Bloody Monastery and kill mobs.

Next, you may go to Glish or the Biraghi Den. You have to talk to all of the NPCs that you pass by and pick up the quests that they give you.

The next area that you go to is Behr, where there are many quests available that can help you level up faster. You have to finish all of the quests, and new quests will pop up that you also have to accept and accomplish.

Remember to focus on the quests with a full yellow border because they give more experience than those quests that do not have full yellow borders. If you do, you waste time and not gain much experience.

The next place you have to visit is Trent. In Trent, there are many quests spread all over the area, and you have to take to the NPCs and take quests from them. You have to be cautious because some quests only pop out later on after you have taken another. Finish these quests, and you will gain more experience.

In the South Kaia Pier, there are some quests that you can do there, but they are very spread out, and they also take so much time.

Next, go to the Isolated Sentry Post and pick up some more quests in this place.

Next, go to the Abandoned Land, where there are so many quests available. Some quests may also autocomplete if you are already knowledgeable about the area.

Conclusion

With this guide, you earn approximately 1% for 1 EXP from each quest.

There are so many other ways to level up in this game. You may even take your time exploring and doing the quests you like and doing other tasks, but this guide helps you quickly level up from level 56 to 57.

With this speed that just took less than 2 hours, you have already reached a new level. Have fun playing and exploring the world of Black Desert Online!

Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom 

Before using this guide and the others in this leveling series, make sure you have done the questline for the Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom.

The Chenga Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom gives you an additional 30%+ Combat EXP bonus obtained through quests reward. It also gives extended vision range +150 and Prognyl silver bar gain +20%. This is great since you can transfer the Tome onto your other characters as well. You can just put the Tome in the storage and then get it and equip it onto your other character and get going. So you only have to do the questline once.

Questing

Every single quest you do gives you 1.3% experience(if you have the Tome).

To start out, head to Abandoned Land and speak to Bipache.

After you complete all his quests, you’re going to get about 5% experience from about 5 minutes’ worth of work.

Northern Wheat Plantation

The next location we’re going to head to is the northern wheat plantation. If your inventory is getting full, you can always stop in Calpheon and drop off some of the rewards you’ve gotten from the previous quests.

The thing with the northern wheat plantation is that you can get 78% upward a level depending on how much time you’re willing to spend here. Spend as much time as you want here doing as many different quests; there are tons of them inside the village. And also the little locations around the village and on the farms outside.

After about 30 minutes of following the different quests, I have gained around 43% of experience running around the village. You will want to clear your inventory space and continue your grind. After that, we are going to head to Calpheon. You can also stay here if you prefer to do that.

Calpheon

Calpheon has many quests you can do. It’s recommended to pick a region of the city and work through that region and then move onto the next quadrant of the city. Do everything you can there and then do the next quadrant. In the Valkyrie area alone, there are ten different quests up there that you can do. Next, we will point out some hotspots and tips for finding the best quests.

Tips and Tricks

· Chain quests: Just as in the northern wheat plantation, you want to be on the lookout for consecutive quests where you have multiple quests in a row. They will be close to each other, so you’ll be able to do them very quickly.

· To get things moving early on, as soon as you get to Calpheon, go immediately to the left and find the legendary shield, that’s going to send you on a nine quest chain. Once you complete that, the guy next to him will give you another two quests.

· Another quest you can pick up is the one from the seed vendor. Work your way further down the path. There is another quest at the end, after that walk back to the bridge where the seed lady Ahr is to find more quests.

Hot Spots To Pick Up Quests

* Run back around the bridge, and if you look over the left, you see another quest on the street below. Moving across the bridge, you will see a guy riding a horse that has another quest.

* If you walk around the corner and immediately turn to the right, there are several other quests by the marketplace director Elle Belucci for you to do, so grab as many of them as you want; mostly, they involve talking to people.

* Move ahead and once you get to the intersection, turn left to find yet another bunch of quests to do, after the completion of the legendary shield quest.

The legendary shield quest will take you up the stairs where you can do some more to unlock a bunch of other stuff. Once you’re done with that, go back down to find more unlocked quests in the area, including a chain one.

* Right ahead, run through the door and work your way across. Move a little bit further up the road, turn to the left to find another quest that’s pretty straightforward where you’ll only need to talk to the faucet. There are also other quests to the left of the Faucet.

Turn to the right to enter the main with the castle area to get to the story questline. Follow the ramp up and turn right at once. You will get to a little garden area with a few more several quests.

* Go back to the main area where all the soldiers are lining up. Walk back down to the left out the door and run a little further across the bridge to find even more quests. By the skill instructor Renaldus there are also additional quests.

* Once you’ve done that, work your way back towards the legendary shield area, and go all the way up the two sets of stairs and into the Valkyries area.

If you do the quests in the Northern wheat plantation and Calpheon, it should take you around an hour and a half roughly to get to level 58.

Today we’re gonna be talking about Blackstar and how to get it. So to start off, you have to have completed the beginning of a journey storyline. This is the storyline through Calpheon. And you also have to complete the suggested questline of the legendary blacksmith of Mediah.

This requires you to also have the Mediah quest line done parts one, two, and three.

Now for the legendary blacksmith, you’re on it to start off with two of them, you’ll lead you through a 13 quest and once you get done with that, you can then proceed with the Blackstar quest.

Black Star Quest

Remnants of the Rift

Now to start the Black star quest you have to do a quest that is the remnants of the Rift. And so remnants of the rift can be acquired by doing dark rifts and getting lucky and getting this, and you can activate by right-clicking on it. And it will give you the quest that you can complete. The quest will bring you to Martha.

And Martha is located in northern wheat plantation by Calpheon. And then from there, she’s going to ask you to go to stars in a meter there and gather a whole bunch of random materials.

And since you’re gonna put them together for you, and she’s gonna say, Hey, can you please go to an alchemist and show them what I’ve gathered? Which brings us to the next NPC in the quest, which is Gorgath.

Now gore gas we’re gonna have several requests from the first one here is we give them the pieces that the last NPC gave us, and it’s going to actually summon a monster, and we have to fight this monster off. It’s a fairly weak monster. I wouldn’t worry about it. I’d say you need roughly 150 ap, nothing severe.

So now we’re back at a Gorgath and he’s going to say, hey, I need you to go to Caphras cave.

Caphras Cave

Now Kaffirs cave is across from Lauren. And so we’re going to go to the cactus cave. And there is a hidden wall in Cafritz cave. And all you got to do is attack it with any type of attack and it’ll easily break the wall.

Once you go inside, you will find the quest objective. And that is going to be a whole bunch of books shelves in the library here.

And you’re gonna search through this for the credit Journal of caphras. And so here you can see I found it, it is up on the top right.

So after we’ve done that, and we’ve got the journal, speak to Gorgath, and he’s going to say, Oh, well done, and he’s going to give us a quest item here and We have to trust that you can find a 260 AP boss, or we can go and fight around a 250 AP boss. And both of them are the same, there’s no difference. This is one is more difficult than the other one.

Once you’ve made your choice, then we have to go on to actually make the material needed to summon the boss. And so what we’re actually going to do here is we’re going to take the piece that we got from Gorgath(eye of anguish), and we’re going to combine it with boss auras.

Combine Eye of Anguish and Concentrated Boss Aura To Get Eye of Desolation

And if you’re wondering how to get a boss aura, you can melt down boss weapons. This would be Kzarka, offin tet, Nouver, Kutum or dandelion, you can melt down all these with heating.

And once you melt them down, you’re gonna get a concentrated boss’s aura.

And so we need three of these, which means you can melt on the three boss your weapons. And so once we have three of these, we can combine them together with processing, manufacturing. We’ll get our new item that’s required the summon the boss.

Alright, so we have the Eye of desolation. This is the item that we needed in order to summon the boss. And the boss is located in Stars end.

So we’re going to make her way over there two stars in now and fight the boss. I personally chose the 260 ap boss, and we’ll be talking about that.

Incarnation of Corruption

So this is where we have to put the eye of desolation, get to interact and offer it.

And once we’ve made the offering, then the star itself starts becoming active.

And we can actually see it here and actually will When the boss wants to be approached, which will be kind of cool. I find this as a really, really cool way of acquiring a really, really good weapon in the game.

Boss Mechanics

Alright, so for the 260 AP boss, there are a very few mechanics, the first mechanic in the fight is actually that the boss itself can teleport or disappear. And when he disappears or teleports, whatever he does actually start summoning small meteorites.

And they start falling on the ground and reappear, he’ll do some type of attack, and he’ll disappear again. And so this will kind of repeat itself a little bit and you can get damaged and occasionally.

He’ll eventually spawn these two crystals, there’s two of them, and you have to kill them and he will not reappear until you’ve killed them both.

So you can see here I’ve killed them both and he immediately reappears and so that was really confusing for me personally. And so then that’s about all there is to it mechanic wise.

Blackstar’s Claw

Then once you kill him and deal you’re going to get something called Black stars claw in this black stars claw is the item that we’ve been looking for the entire time in order to craft the Black Star itself. So the black stars claw is what we’re basically we have grown to an end to Black Star. I’m really excited for it. So we’re we’re heading over to Calpheon by the way. And that’s where we’re headed to to Kannobas.

So shortstop him and then we’re gonna be going over to Mediah to the legendary blacksmith from Mediah. The first one is Barattan Lancer.

Then we’re going to be moving into the cave itself. And once we enter Helms cave we’ll be able to forge the legendary Blackstar.

So the long journey has come to an end here you’re going to be interacting with the NPC down here in the crystal behind him to finally complete the quest in craft black star itself.

Crafting Blackstar

Dorin Morgrim is the end of your journey and the final NPC of this quest where you are going to craft your blackstar weapon. I think this is really cool quest was very impressed with it. And happy as a player how well and polished this felt. I hope this helped you guys craft your Blackstar.

The Ring of Power, as described in Black Desert Online, is a ring belonging to the royal family bestowed upon the player by the King of Valencia, Sahazad Nesser. Most importantly, the ring possesses +11AP (Attack Power) and 6 ACC (Accuracy). The ring represents a decent equipment upgrade at virtually no cost. Because of its attack power stat and its cost-free appeal, the Ring of Power is often sought after by players. This is a step by step guide to hopefully help you understand how to obtain the Ring of Power and boost your stats with some extra Attack Power and Accuracy.

Pre-Requisites

Before starting your journey to obtain the Ring of Power, you must first complete the Valencia story quest-line as well as the Kamasylvia story quest-line to have access to the “An Ominous Sign” quest. An important thing to look out for a while finishing the Valencia story questline is that you will receive a key that you then need to hand over to an NPC of your choosing. 

Handing the key over to one of these NPC’s will ultimately result in receiving a ring from the NPC depending on the one you chose. Feel free to choose anyone you like, as this will not affect any future outcome. This step is necessary to freely progress into the later stages of obtaining the Ring of Power and having access to its main quest. Be mind-full of your attack level as you will need to kill 550 level 60 Pila-Ku mobs.

“An Ominous Sign” Quest

This quest takes, on average, roughly 20- 40 minutes depending on player speed. A mount is recommended to save travel time as you will be traveling quite a bit. 

To start the “An Ominous Sign” quest, head to Valencia City and speak to the NPC named: Purajin that can be found sitting on a table. 

If having any trouble finding Purajin, you can make use of the “Find NPC tool” located in-game by clicking on the magnifier icon on the top right of the screen. Accept the quest and follow the quest locator to arrive at King Nesser’s location. 

The quest locator or pointer can be identified as a bright streak on the ground that marks the way players should travel to reach the desired destination. Speak to the King, accept his task, and once again follow the quest pointer until you arrive at Barhan Nesser’s location. Barhan will task the player with slaying 550 Pila-Ku mobs. 

Travel south of Valencia towards Pila-Ku Jail (the journey may be a bit time consuming) and begin fighting the Pila-Ku mobs. Be sure to stock up on supplies as you will spend some time in Pila-Ku Jail before you reach the 550 kill count, and you won’t want to make more than one trip. 

It is advised that the player level be 58 as a minimum in order to not have any trouble while on this section of the quest. Once the deed is done, head back to Valencia City. Once there, follow the quest pointer until you arrive at back at King Nesser’s location. 

Prayer of Purification and The Seed of Ruin

Accept the King’s task or sub-quest titled “Prayer of Purification”; and go speak to Saya Nesser by following the quest pointer (she is pretty close by). Saya will assign you “The Seed of Ruin” sub-quest. Go behind the King’s throne and search the “Box with the Royal Family Seal.” 

Upon examining this box, the player will be awarded a key that should be taken back to Saya. Saya will give you back the key, and you will be tasked with throwing the key into the lake at Gavinya Great Crater. 

Follow the quest pointer to the Crater (Its a fair way from Valencia) and slam that key in the water! 

Follow the quest pointer back to Valencia and Speak to Saya to complete the sub-quest. Finally, you can speak to King Nesser to complete “An Ominous Sign” and claim your Ring of Power as a reward. Wear your ring with pride as you have earned it by completing a fair share of quests, this sought after ring is now yours to enjoy.
