The Fallen God Armor is highly coveted because it shares the same base stats as a Blackstar Armor, only better since it can be enhanced five (5) times more.

To create the Fallen God Armor, you will need a Flame of Despair and either a Blackstar Armor (PEN), Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), or Red Nose’s Armor (PEN).

How Do I Obtain The Required items for Fallen God Armor?

The Flame of Despair

The item can be obtained through purchase from the marketplace or by grinding in the Land of Turos Tunkuta located at the southernmost part of Velia. Once in Velia, head to the far south until you reach the O’dyllita region west of O’draxia.

Turos always fight in pairs, making it more effective to bring a companion whenever you’re grinding for these mobs. The Flame of Despair is a rare drop, but it can be crafted by melting 100 Embers of Despair which you can also grind from Turos. Keep grinding in the location until you get the Flame of Despair or at least 100 Embers of Despair which you can use to craft the needed item. Recommended AP here is 270+.

The Blackstar Armor (PEN), Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), or Red Nose’s Armor (PEN)

The Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) can be purchased from the marketplace, which works at your convenience if you’re looking for the easiest way to craft the powerful Fallen God Armor.

If you’re not going to use the Blackstar Armor (PEN), you will need to obtain a lot of Caphras Stones because both the Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) and Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN) needs to be enhanced ten times before you can use it to exchange for a Fallen God Armor. The stones can be acquired by grinding the mobs in the Dreighan region, Valencia, and Kamasylvia. It can also be obtained through gathering or as a reward for the dailies. Any of these three items will complete the necessary materials needed in making the Fallen God Armor.

After obtaining the two needed items, you can then receive the quest from Dorin Morgrim. Here are the easy steps to follow in making the Fallen God Armor:

Step 1

Click on the magnifying glass at the top right corner of your screen and type in Dorin Morgrim. It will send you to the NPC’s location, which is in Mediah territory. Dorin Morgrim is inside the deepest abyss of an abandoned mine, so you will need to enter the mine and just keep heading down to the bottom part to find the NPC.

Step 2

Once you find Dorin Morgrim, you may talk to him and click the quest button if you’ll be using the Blackstar Armor (PEN). If you use the Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) or Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), you will need to enhance it to level 10 using the Caphras Stones.

Summon your Black Spirit and click on Enhancement’, then select the Caphras Stones. Place either a Red Nose’s Armor (PEN) or Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (PEN), then click on the Level Up’ button until the armor reaches Caphras level 10.

Step 3

Once you have all the required items, you may then proceed and accept the quest from Dorin Morgrim.

Interact with the NPC, click “chat” and then hand over the Flame of Despair. Then click on chat again and hand over the required armor.

After providing both items, click on Crafting’ then go up to the crystal imbued with a fiery energy that you see at the center. Click on chat and select the Craft the Fallen God’s Armor’ button, which will complete the quest. Accept the forbidding armor by interacting with Dorin Morgrim one last time, then open your inventory to see that coveted Fallen God Armor forged with the power of the fallen god.

Best Grinding Spots

This guide will go through all the best grinding spots for money, EXP, SP, and list several spots for newer players and veterans in Black Desert.

The places on this list are arranged based on the amount of money per hour that you can make or the EXP/SP gains you can expect to get there. It also gives gear recommendations on what you should be at a minimum when you go grinding at these locations.

This test was done with pretty much max gear (300+ AP), so if you have the recommended AP you won’t get as much profit.

We tested 60 spots before making this guide so hopefully, this is useful for you.

Recommended Grinding Spots For Newer Players

100 AP: Nagas/Fogans

160-170 AP: Polly’s Forest

200 AP: Blood Wolves

220 AP: Sherekhan Necropolis

235 AP: Forest Ronaros

The reason we opt for the Blood Wolves/Sherekhan/Forest Ronaros is that the infinite potion pieces drop there.

Best Grinding Spots For Money

Nr

Spot

Recommended AP/DP

Money/Hour

1

Sulfur

245/303

200-400m

2

Hystria Ruins

250/269

200-370m

3

Stars End

269/309

200-330m

4

Fogans(Elvia)

269/320

200-220m

5

Sycraia Lower

265/320

300-410m

6

Turos

269/340

200-370m

7

Castle Ruins(Elvia)

270/320

300m

8

Bloody Monastery(Elvia)

280/340

270-400m

9

Orc Camp(Elvia)

280/340

400-520m

10

Kratuga

245/309

340-400m

11

Aakman

245/309

300-355m

Black Desert grinding spots for money

1. Sulfur Mines

This is a really good grinding spot especially if you are a seasonal player. On top of being good for earning money(earns 200-400m per hour), it is also good for grinding out skill points. Plus, you have a chance at getting the 2/4 Archelogist Map Pieces.

2. Hystria Ruins

This spot is about the same earning-wise as the Sulfur Mines, earning 215 m per hour, but offers other perks. This is a good intro spot to learn how to “pull mobs”. This is also perfect for seasonal players but requires 245 AP and 309 DP. It also drops the rarest piece of Lafi Bedmountain’s Upgraded Compass.

3. Stars End

Stars End earns roughly the same as Sulfur Mines and Hystria Ruins. It earns about 230 m per hour. On top of that, the spot is super easy and convenient to travel to. It also will have some variance in how much you earn from grinding per hour because of rare drops. It is also good for seasonal players, requiring 245 AP and 309 DP. This spot can also be crowded and often busy, but well worth it with traveling to it.

4. Swamp Fogans

This spot earns you about 250 m per hour. It is also good for getting materials for getting the HP Cup ring upgrade. The location is also really convenient and isn’t really a contested location unlike with Stars End. It requires 269 AP and 330 DP.

5. Sycraia Lower

This spot is also another very good grind spot, earning 280 m an hour. It is a very easy grind spot with basic mechanics. You also can get a chance at getting Sycrid Songs for Krogdalo Sea Horse Gear. It is also a spot with fewer players as well. It is also good for players with 269 AP and 325 DP.

6. Turos

This spot is good for grinding out 290 m an hour. This requires 269 AP or 330 DP. This spot some players might also find annoying as well because of the pulls and CCs. There are many rotations as well which generally are uncontested and don’t usually have that many players either. It is also a good duo spot that has a rare drop that can be worth 2 billion.

7. Castle Ruins

This one is interesting as it is different than the others. It is a three-person grind zone that allows you to hang out with friends and other people, earning 300 m an hour. This spot is also an easy spot to get to and doesn’t have a high barrier to entry like Polly’s Forest. It requires 261 AP and 320 DP.

8. Bloody Monastery

This is another great spot that has a few benefits. You can earn 360 m an hour. This spot is great for people who like getting rare drops. The Crimson Bells add a very cool and unique aspect to the grind spot as well. Though, there aren’t as many rotations with this spot meaning it is a very contested spot with many players. Players with 281 AP and 341 DP can use this spot.

9. Orc Camp

This spot has some of the highest potential for money in the game, with 400 m an hour. It is one of the most consistent spots for money, with drops being mostly raw silver. It is a very contested spot but has many rotations as well. This is recommended for players with 281 AP and 341 DP.

10. Polly’s Forest

This spot is great for newer players as it has a low barrier to entry. It is also great for skill points and is perfect for a new player, earning you up to 93m per hour. This spot is easy to access especially for newer players.

Early and Late Game Grind Spots

Nr

Spot

AP/DP

1

Desert Nagas/Bashims

100

2

Cadry Ruins

140

3

Desert Waragons

160

4

Basilisk’s Den

190

5

Pila Ku/Sulfur

210

6

Biraghi Den/Imps

240

7

Thornwood

245

8

Star’s End

245 or 269

9

Castle Ruins

261

10

Sycraia Underwater

269/329

11

Padix Island

269/329

12

Tunkuta(Turos)

269/329

1. Desert Nagas/Bashims

Desert Nagas and Bashims are very easy to grind out once you hit a 100 AP. It is easy to get the mobs back together and has many rotations and options. Both of these are dependent on your class and what exactly you want to grind out.

2. Cadry Ruins/Gahaz Bandits

These spots are a good grind spot once you hit 140 AP. These are great spots but Gahaz Bandits are the better of the two.

3. Desert Waragons

These spots are good for grinding once you hit 160 AP. Though, you’ll need to be in a party of three people to grind in this spot. If you want to grind solo, grind at the previous spots that are mentioned.

4. Basilisk’s Den/Centaurs

At 190 AP, you’ll start opening up a lot more spots that you can grind at. The Centaurs have tons of loot and other drops too. Basilisks Den is for groups of three like Desert Waragons, so if you want to grind solo Centaurs are the better option.

5. Sulfur Mines/Pila Ku Jail

These spots have a recommended 210 AP, but you can come to both of them earlier and not have any issue grinding in these spots. You’ll get great money and some of the best EXP for skill points in the game. Though, Pila Ku Jail is harder to get to than the Sulfur Mines.

6. Biraghi Den/Imps

These spots are recommended for when you have 240 AP. Biraghi Den is for solo players and Imps is a two-man grind spot. So if you don’t have a friend to play with on here- Biraghi Den is the best for this.

7. Thornwood Forest

Thornwood Forest is recommended when you have about 245 AP. This grind spot has fallen behind other better grind spots but is still useful to grind out specific items.

8. Stars End

This one was mentioned previously, but it should also be mentioned some of the rotations with Stars End has different recommended AP levels as well and is good for grinding out EXP as well. You’ll want at least 245 AP for some of the rotations, but for the bigger rotations, you’ll want somewhere around 261-269 AP. This is because the bigger rotations will be usually harder to do. But as mentioned previously, this spot is a very popular grind spot for many players.

9. Castle Ruins

This one has been nerfed recently and has become one of the better AP spots. The recommended level is 245-261 AP. But, the negative with this one is that it is a three-man grinding spot, meaning you’ll need at least two other friends.

10. Sycraia Underwater

This is one of the ones that have gotten better over the years. You’ll need at least 269 AP and 329 DP to grind here, and they recently buffed the drop rates of items here too which has made it a better place to grind!

11. Padix Island

This is another two-man grind spot, so you’ll need another friend to join you. This is good for money per hour and is recommended you have 269 AP and 329 DP.

12. Tunkuta

This one is another duo grind spot, so again, you’ll need a friend to help you with this one. This is a grind spot not only for money per hour but for other items people are usually looking to find and grind out. The recommended AP for this one is 269 while the DP you’ll need is 329, which is the same as a few previously mentioned grind spots.

Best Grinding Spots For Both Exp and SP

Bloody Monastery

Bloody Monastery is the best spot for EXP and SP grinding in the entire game. It offers an exp rate of 1.7% per hour, SP rate of 1.6 per hour, trash rate of 6500 an hour. Overall this one is one of the best to grind out both SP and EXP, while also getting a good trash rate. This is basically the best spot if you’re not looking for a good mob rate, to not drain your agris fever as fast, while getting the best EXP and SP gains.

Miru 12 Tree

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Miru 12 Tree offers an exp rate of 1.51% per hour, SP rate of 0.63 per hour, trash rate of 2000 an hour. This one is good if you want a very high EXP rate, other than that the SP and trash rate won’t matter as much. This is a group grinding spot, you will be grinding multiple locations to maximize experience rates between the party.

Biraghi Den

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Biraghi den offers an exp rate of 1.4% per hour, SP rate of 3.4 per hour, trash rate of 8000 an hour. This one is especially good for grinding SP, as the trash rate isn’t as bad either while gaining pretty decent EXP as well.

Orc Camp

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Orc Camp 2 offers an exp rate of 1.0% per hour, SP rate of 1.0 per hour, trash rate of 7500 an hour. This one is only decent and isn’t really as good unless you haven’t unlocked other places to grind at yet.

Miru Solo

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Miru Solo offers an exp rate of 1% per hour, SP rate of 1 per hour, trash rate of 2200 an hour, and 1765 mobs per hour. Same with the previous entry, though the mob rate is pretty good.

Thornwood

Thornwood offers an exp rate of 0.9% per hour, SP rate of 1.7 per hour, trash rate of 5000 an hour. This one is pretty meh, so unless you haven’t unlocked the other ones that are better, then you don’t really have to go for this one.

Shultz

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Shultz offers an exp rate of 0.83% per hour, SP rate of 3.7 per hour, trash rate of 9600 an hour. The SP and trash rates are pretty good here, better than the others mentioned, so definitely grind at this spot unless you haven’t unlocked it yet.

Sycraia Upper

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Sycraia Upper offers an exp rate of 0.8% per hour, SP rate of 3.12 per hour, trash rate of 11k an hour. This one overall has a pretty good trash rate and mob rate, so if you’re looking to grind out both of those then definitely go to this part of the game. Though keep in mind it isn’t particularly great with EXP and only being okay with SP.

Stars End

Stars End offers an exp rate of 0.79% per hour, SP rate of 1.5 per hour, trash rate of 3500 an hour. This one has been mentioned previously, Stars End isn’t notable for grinding EXP and SP. Stars End is only really notable for grinding in-game currency. Also, many people contest this part of the game because everyone is using it to grind money.

Sycraia Lower

Sycraia Lower offers an exp rate of 0.77% per hour, SP rate of 1.5 per hour, trash rate of 3-3.1k an hour. This one isn’t particularly great either, as it has lower rates all around, but it could be worth it if you haven’t unlocked other means to grind EXP or SP.

Miru Main Pt

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. Miru Main Pt offers an exp rate of 0.7% per hour, SP rate of 0.3 per hour, trash rate of 2800 an hour. Overall you shouldn’t use this one either as there are much better grinding spots. However, if you have no other choices for grinding spots then this one could fit you well.

Castle Ruins

This spot is also another good spot for EXP grinding and AP Grinding. An exp rate of 0.68% per hour, SP rate of 0.74 per hour, trash rate of 7k an hour. This could be a decent grinding spot for trash, however, don’t expect to get much in EXP or SP.

Best Spots For Skill Points(SP) Grinding

Number

Spot

Skill Points/Hour

Money/Hour

1

Sulfur

8.4

200-400m

2

Polly

8

100-200m

3

Cadry

7.4

200-300m

4

Fogan(non-elvia)

6.8

200-300m

5

Nagas(non-elvia)

6.5

250-300m

6

Bashims

6.4

250-300m

7

Pila Ku Jail

6

300-450m

8

Kagtums

5.7

100-150m

9

Tshira Ruins

5

100m

Spots for SP

1. Sulfur Mine – 8.4 SP/Hour

Sulfur mine is currently the best spot in the game for grinding skill points. Full PEN Tuvala gear is enough for you to grind here.

2. Polly Forest – 8 SP/Hour

One of the fastest SP grinding spots in the game, especially good for season/beginner players that don’t have full PEN tuvala gear.

3. Cadrys – 7.4 SP/Hour

Good place for getting blackstones, good profit after the valencia rework. After the rework, you can now get around 200-300m per hour here.

4. Fogans – 6.8 SP/Hour

Good profit, good SP, and EXP per hour, especially for lower geared players.

5. Nagas – 6.5 SP/Hour

The rotation here is very easy you just run around in one single big circle.

6. Bashims – 6.4 SP/Hour

Around 200-250 mil per hour after the trash loot update.

7. Pila Ku Jail – 6 SP/Hour

You can get the map piece here. Very underrated spot in my opinion. It’s average in SP/EXP and money but if you are also looking for a map piece it’s a good spot to grind. It’s very far away from everything though.

8. Kagtums – 5.7 SP/Hour

Drops the Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak, needed to create the infinite HP potion.

9. Tshira Ruins 5 SP/Hour

The Vine Keeper, Leaf Keeper & Groove Keeper here drop part of the infinite MP/SP/WP resource potion.

Grinding Spots List For Infinite HP Potion and Mana Potion

These spots are good for potion grinding since they are a very important part of the game, even if the spots give bad EXP and SP.

Nr

Spot

AP Req

Item

1

Blood Wolves

190

Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak

2

Sherekhan

210

Sherekhan’s Panacea

3

Forest Ronaros

240

Ron’s Tintinnabulum

4

Tshira Ruins

140

Markthanans Gland

5

Manshaum Forest

240

Narc’s Crimson Tear

Spots for grinding Infinite Potions

1. Blood Wolves

This spot is great for farming HP potions once you have 190 AP, and you shouldn’t have any issue farming potions here. This drops the Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak, which is used for HP potions.

2. Sherekhan

This is another good spot for HP potion grinding, and you can start grinding here at about 200-210 AP without much of an issue. This drops the Sherekhan’s Panacea, which is used for HP potions.

3. Forest Ronaros

This spot says it is recommended to grind at 240 AP, but you can also grind here comfortably at 220-230 AP without much of an issue, being that you have the right buffs for PvE. This spot is great for HP potion grinding. This drops Ron’s Tintinnabulum, which is used for HP potions.

4. Tshira Ruins

This is a low-level grind spot for grinding mana potions. This is really good for people with 140 AP or higher and should be pretty easy to grind these mana potions out. This drops the Markthanans Gland which is used for the mana potions. Though be warned, the money per hour here is pretty bad.

5. Manshaum Forest

This grind spot is recommended for people with 240 AP or higher. You can get the Narc’s Crimson Tear for the mana potion here. This can be one of the toughest spots for the mana potions as well.

10 More Grinding Spots For Money

Star’s End 261+ AP, 309+ DP

In this location, when you are at the highest end of the game like if you are at an efficient grinding class like a warrior or a mid-tier grinding class like a mystic with higher AP, you can get around 250 million silver per hour. Around 10k trash loot, you get an earring. The earrings you get go for around 300 million silver, which makes star’s end great for grinding. However, if the distortion earrings were to drop to below 250 million silver, Sycraia would be a better grind spot at that point.

Sycraia Underwater Ruins 269+ AP, 330+ DP

In Sycraia, you get around 230 million silver per hour. If distortions drop to around 250 million, that’s where Stars End and Sycraia even out. They are very similar in terms of money per hour that you can obtain, but based on the prices currently, Stars End is much better. Sycraia has more consistent money though. There is much less variable in drops in this area.

Abandoned Monastery 269+ AP, 330+ DP

In Abandoned Monastery, you can get about one earring per hour from this place. You also get about 225 million silver per hour at this place. The 330 is for the daytime. The mobs in this place hits very hard, and you may die at nighttime. So make sure that you follow the required AP and DP. You should also be careful when going to the Abandoned Monastery.

Kratuga 245+ AP. 309+ DP

Kratuga is a place that is unique. The money you get is mostly from rare drops because the rare drops are plenty in this area. You can get several different rare items here. The rare drops at this place will compensate for all the trash loot that you will get and will make your trip here really worth it. It also has a unique relationship with AP. It is not AP capped, but you should start at 245.

Hystria Ruins 245+ AP, 301+ DP

Hystria is a place that is a mid-tier grind spot. It used to be the top grinding spot in the game where you can get a ton of great drops. However, nowadays, this is no longer that such great of a spot. However, there are still some pieces that you can get in Hystria, and you can greatly find it in this area. You can make 190 million per hour in Hystria. Still, this is a popular spot, even though it’s not the best one anymore.

Aakman 245+ AP, 301+ DP

It is similar to Hystria, but it does not really have that many rare drops. It is comparable to Hystria, but it is just a little worse when it comes to the amount of money you can get. Aakman only gives you around 185 million silver per hour. Having said that, some classes grind much better at Aakman then at Hystria(for example Lahn) and vice versa, so if you are looking to grind here, make sure you try both out yourself and compare them.

Manshaum Forest 230+ AP, 258+ DP

Manshaum Forest gives you around 120 million silver per hour. I do not recommend you grind here unless you have the infinite potion or do not want to go for it. Even though it’s more profit, you should still grind at the other places listed below, since you can get the potions pieces there.

Forest Ronaros 235+ AP, 250+ DP

Forest Ronaros gives you around 100 million silver per hour.

Blood Wolves 200+ AP, 230+ DP

Blood Wolves gives around 95 million silver per hour. If you are a new player and have just around 200 AP, this is the spot you should be camping at until you get the potion piece. By the time you got the potion piece, you most likely will have the AP for going to Sherekhan.

Sherekhan Necropolis (DAY) 220+ AP, 258+ DP

Lastly, Sherekhan gives around 90 million silver per hour.

Is it Possible to Quest to Level 62?

Many players take the quest approach to try to level up to level 62. Although it is technically possible to do it, there is no reason to take this approach. In Black Desert Online, all side quests yield 0.021% experience points after reaching the 61-level cap. In other words, it would take approximately 5000 completed sidequests in order to earn enough experience to increase your level to 62, if you only perform questing.

Although the metagame is extensive, it is very unlikely that BDO has that amount of sidequests available in the game for you if you want to try this method. For this reason, trying to reach level 62 through questing only seems a far-fetched idea.

Can You Life Skill to Level 62?

There are various life skills present in the game, such as gathering, fishing, processing, trading, etc., that allow you to gain combat experience as you progress through the levels. However, it has a low experience rate. For example, you only receive 0.004% experience points if you decide to do AFK fishing overnight, even if you have equipped the 10+ Balenos Fishing Rod, and you fill all your slot inventory.

If you do all the calculations, you will be able to reach level 62. But that may take a couple of years… So let’s look into something else!

So What’s the Best Way to Hit Level 62?

By far, the most efficient way to reach level 62 is by using a combination of Marni Stones, Grinding and AFK Training. Although it may sound challenging at first, you will soon become an expert and reach level 62 in no time.

Grinding Spots

These are the spots we recommend to start out with

Polly’s Forest

Fogans

Gahaz

Mirumok(if you have TET Kutum 245+ AP with a team this is the fastest method)

Manshaums if you are looking for good silver/hour with less exp

AFK Combat Training

In various locations throughout the Black Desert World, there are AFK trainers present. Usually, they are located in the original and main cities in the game, such as Heidel, Calpheon, and Altinova. The AFK trainer is known as Jamey Drucker, which also makes it easier for you to locate him. You have to hit the search bar in the top-right corner of the screen and type his name.

Once you have located Jamey Drucker and talked to him, you enter the shop option and purchase a “Book of Training Combat” for 1-10 hours. Pro tip: You can also purchase a skill book at the same time if you want both skill points and combat exp.

Afterward, you head to a dummy near you and open your inventory. Search for the Book of Training and right click on it, click yes. You will then notice a buff on your screen at the top-left portion of your screen. You can now hit the dummies and gain exp AFK.

This is the Book of Training icon, which will last depending on the number of hours you have purchased. From level 61 to 62, you will receive 0.04% experience every hour. Therefore, you can gain 0.32% experience points for eight hours overnight. Although it is not a lot, you can take advantage of experience buffs, like weekend buffs or buff items.

You can also take out pets that offer experience bonuses to increase your experience gain further. Stacking up silver and buying pieces of costumes also offer experience bonuses if you have four pieces of the same costume. Either way, the point of this is to stack up experience bonuses so you can gain more experience points.

If you obtain enough experience bonuses, you might be able to stack up more than 1.2% experience gain in 8 hours. Although it may not seem a lot, it is a quick way to gain experience points.

Marni Stones and Grinding Spots

These items are very effective all the way up to level 62; you must take advantage before reaching level 62. You will need to look for Wacki Toshi who sells these stones, and there are two forms of Marni stones. The Marni Stone #1 requires you to kill 250 of a specific monster, while the Marni Stone #2 requires you to kill 500 of a mob.

These stones are available in the majority of grinding spots in the mid to late-game areas. So what you have to do is visit a specific location and begin to kill all the spawns of a particular mob, and you will see the gauge of your stone increase in your inventory. It starts at a ” 0 out of 500″ bar, and it becomes complete after 250, or you can continue until it reaches 500.

Once it is complete, you can return to the Marni Stone vendor and trade it for experience points. The amount of experience points depends on the type of mob you have filled. Ideally, you should go to an area you like to grind, buy the Marni stones of the monsters present in that area, and commence the killing spree.

You will receive EXP from battling the monsters and also selling the Marni Stones. Remember that a Marni Stones costs about 60,000 silver for a 250 stone or 110,000 silver for a 500 stone. The NPC that sells Marni Stones is called Wacky Toshi. You can find him in the search bar, and the map will place a pinpoint mark to find him easier.

The amount of experience ultimately depends on how fast you kill the mobs, what mobs you decide to kill since some monsters yield more experience than others and the number of Marni Stone you managed to fill and sell. You will level up rather quickly to level 62 if you follow these methods.

Locations For Farming Skill Points

In Black Desert Online, some locations are much better than other locations to farm skill points in.

Polly Forest

Polly’s Forest is located at the left of Grana, and it runs between the Weenie Cabin down to the Looney Cabin. Polly’s Forest is always contested, and in this area, you will fight enemies looking like mushrooms, and they are straightforward to kill. However, there are not that many crazy drops in this area.

The trash drops here also do not weigh much, so may grind here a lot longer. You may get around 20-50 million silver per hour from the trash drops here. The mobs in this area are also very tightly packed so you can kill many mobs per hour.

Fadus Habitat

This location is excellent for beginners, and it can be found at the left of the Archer Guard Post. It can be found in the north part of Grana(north of Polly forest). This location is just like Polly’s Forest, but some elite mobs can be found in this area. You should be careful in this area and avoid elite mobs. The mobs are also close together in this area, which makes it easier for grinding.

The trash loot in this area also does not weigh that much, so it may grind for a longer time in this place even if you don’t have much inventory storage space. You will be able to stack more trash loot from this area. This area is also not that popular; you find fewer players here. There are also no good drops that can be found in this area. However, if you are a new player, that would be an advantage for you.

Sausan Garrison and Shultz Guard

These locations are above Altinova. A lot of players no longer come to these areas, unlike before. Nonetheless, the mobs found here still give great XP for skills. The mobs are also closely packed together in this area, making them easier to kill when grinding because, in just a short amount of time, you can kill more mobs.

However, just like Fadus Habitat, it is located away from the main location where you have to travel a distance to reach it first.

The trash loot in this area also weighs a lot, which would not be good for your inventory. The trash loot here weighs 0.3 LT compared to Polly’s Forest’s trash loot and Fadus Habitat’s trash loot, which only weighs 0.1 LT.

Gahaz Bandits

The Gahaz Bandits can be located in Shakatu’s Territory to the right of Shakatu. This is is a near a city so you may sell items and repair your weapons. The mobs also drop only one type of trash loot in this area, unlike Sausans Garrison and Shultz Guard, where they drop three kinds.

The trash loot also weighs 0.3 LT here, and you can get great money here. The mobs here are also packed together really well, but they are also well distanced from each other, so you have to travel a bit to reach another mob after killing one.

Desert Naga Temple

It is located in the desert, so you have to bring purified water/star anise tea to avoid desert sickness. You get good skill points/hour and money as you grind in this location. It is also very close to a bank, which is a bonus.

Introduction

One of the latest updates in Black Dessert Online is the Agris Fever patch that was added last April. In this guide, we will go over the basics of what it is, what it does, how to get it, and everything in between.

What is Agris Fever?

In short, in its base form when you initially get it, the Agris Fever Buff gives you a 100% increase to trash junk loot items drops by any mobs you grind for, for about 1500 mobs roughly. This feature resets every day and stacks up to several days, depending on how far into the Agris Fever Book you are.

The Agris Fever buff icon is found in the top left bar, and it is not bound to a family but a character. This means that you will be able to get this increased double junk item drop on multiple characters, so if you have various characters, you can set them up in different areas (or even the same area) and get double loot from that area.

How To Get The Agris Fever Book

Book of Margahan Guide

To begin with, you will need to talk to your black spirit. Hopefully, he will be sitting on the quest log “Adventure Log: Agris, The Ancient Secret.”

He will then send you to Edan of the Ancient Stone Chamber. Go for a ride; once you get there, talk to Edan, who will give you the adventure log “The Book of Secret in Veil,” It will unlock the book as easily as that.

Go into the escape menu, click on Adventure > Adventure Log Bookshelf > Book of Margahan.

First Chapter

Go to the Altar of Agris. Hop on your horse and head towards the Agris Steppe, you will find the Altar right away, and the first challenge will be complete.

Go to your Bookshelf and get onto chapter two.

Second Chapter

· The first thing you need is 10 Fruit of Enchantment, which you can buy from the marketplace. You will find a lot of them in stock, and you will only need ten of them.

· The next time you will need is 30 bear meat, but chances are there won’t be any in the marketplace. If you want to farm it yourself, you will need a butcher’s knife, which you can purchase from the Material Vendor in Velia. From there, you’ll have to kill some bears roaming around the forest near Velia and get the 30 bear meat that you need.

· The last thing that you will need is 100 wheat. Again you can buy it off the market since you only need 100 of it, and there will be thousands of it available. If you have a wheat farm working for you, you can also get it from there.

· Bring all three items (10 fruit of enchantment, 100 wheat, and 30 bear meat) to Agris Steppe and talk to the guys guarding the Altar. After that, you will have completed the adventure log journal.

Third Chapter

· In the third chapter of the book, you will be asked to go to the hidden place in the coastal cave of Velia.

· When you get over to the cave, you will see that you will have entered a Combat Zone. There you will find three different entrances. Head onto the last of them, keep your eyes open and continue walking along the ride side. A little further, you will find the next location for the adventure log, which you can identify with glittering blue light.

· interact with the blue light to complete this quest.

Fourth Chapter

· The goal here is to get to the hidden place in Cron Castle.

· Cron Castle is located in the northeastern part of Balenos. Head over there, find the main entrance and walk to the top of the cron castle. You will have to climb the roof to get up there, you can see the location on the map.

· Carefully land on the rooftop below, cross the bridge, and then climb on the battlement. Walk to the center of the rooftop to complete chapter 4 of the adventure log bookshelf.

Open the Bookshelf again, mark the chapter as completed, and move onto the final page.

Fifth Chapter

· To complete the final part of the quest, you will need all of the stuff you have got to Alustin which will help you combine the stone tablet, and then go back to Edan.

· Alustin is the alchemist, and he is located in Velia.

· Go and talk to Alustin. Click on the chat and hand over the stone’s fragments to complete that part of the quest.

· In your inventory, you will now have an Agris Stone Tablet, which you need to take back to Edan in the Ancient Stone Chamber.

· Find Edan, talk to him and show him the Agris Stone Tablet. That will complete the adventure log book, and you will have gotten the buff of Agris Fever.

Summary

To summarize, the way the system works is that basically, you get a set number of points for every single one of your characters.

· Every day, that point system recharges by a little bit, depending on how far you get through the main questline of this Agris Fever quest.

· These points are deducted every time you kill an enemy while playing with that character; once again, remember that it is bounded only to that character. If you switch characters, that character starts at whatever amount it had for the day.

· Different enemies take different amounts from the systems, although they are all relatively similar to each other. Once you drain through your fever, you can swap over to another character, and so on.

Today I’m going to be teaching you everything there is to know about the world boss Kzarka in Black Desert Online. This guide is going to be pretty comprehensive and cover all the relevant information about the boss.

Introduction

Kzarka is known as the lord of corruption, and he’s a world boss that drops the current best in slot main hand weapon for all classes, as of the time of writing. In addition to dropping the best in slot gear, he also can drop other great loot, such as Liverto weapons, 10 G gold bars, and rare gems. These can be socketed into gear, plenty of silver, and more, making him a great boss to kill and farm if you’re looking to make some quick and easy profit in Black Desert.

Before we get into information on Kzarka specifically, let’s go over some general guidelines that you want to follow for all of the world bosses in Black Desert.

General Guidelines

Firstly, your entire server will be killing the world bosses with you, and the high concentration of players in a small area can cause your frame rate to drop dramatically, which will often lead to your death. To help combat this, you’ll want to reduce the amount of stuff going on on your screen. You can turn off other player’s skill animations in your screen settings and remove both their names and pets in your game settings. This will drastically improve your frame rate while killing world bosses and allow you to see the bosses attacks, instead of just seeing hundreds of other players attack animations.

Kzarka Node

Next, you can get an increased chance at loot by connecting and leveling up the node associated with the boss you’re trying to kill. For Kzarka specifically, this node is Serendia Shrine, and you can get there by starting at Glish, then connecting the nodes called Southern Cienaga, Southern Guard Camp, and finally, Serendia Shrine. From here, you can invest your character’s energy into the Serendia Shrine mode to level it up.

The higher the level of the node, the better your chance at rare loot from all mobs in that node location, including world bosses. It is currently unknown how much leveling up a node is intended to help increase rare loot, and at the time of writing, it appears as though the mechanic is bugged and not affecting loot chance at all. But hopefully, by the time you’re reading this, it will have been patched, so investing your energy into Serendia Shrine will be well worth it, and affect your chance of getting rare loot from Kzarka.

Kzarka Knowledge

Finally, you can learn knowledge about a boss before even attempting to kill it, which will both increase your chances at rare loot and allow you to see exactly how much health the boss has left as you kill it. You can gain knowledge on Kzarka specifically, by speaking with the NPC located just across from the node manager at the Serendia Shrine known location, his name is Hakkon.

You’ll need to select the conversation option and play the Amity game until you reach 50 Amity with this NPC, then leave the conversation and talk with them again to get a chat option, which will give you knowledge on Kzarka. You want to make sure that you get your knowledge level to either A+ or S Rank before attempting to kill the boss, as this will give you the best chance of receiving rare loot.

Kzarka Spawning

Now let’s get into the boss and the fight itself. Kzarka spawns roughly every eight to twelve hours, and you’ll get a notification on your screen when he spawns on your server. World bosses do not spawn on the Olvia channels, however, so if you’re a new player, you’ll need to hop to a different channel once the bosses spawn. There is a dedicated discord server that is extremely useful for farming world bosses, and it will give you information on every single boss.

Gear and Level Recommendations

I recommend being at least level 54 to attempt to kill Kzarka, but you’ll get loot much more consistently if you are awakened and at level 56 or higher. There’s a chance that you’ll get absolutely no loot when killing Kzarka. Still, it seems as though the loot is distributed primarily based on comparative damage, so if your damage output is within the top 30 to 40 people at the boss, you’ll get loot pretty much every kill.

Note that it is possible to get loot by hitting the boss once and then hiding and waiting for it to die, so you can still attempt to kill the bosses or leash skills and hope to get lucky with loot if you’re a lower level or under-geared, but the chance of receiving loot is much higher if you deal a lot of damage. So, I would not recommend trying to go world boss farming if you are under-geared or unawakened.

Where to Find Kzarka/Where Does Kzarka Spawn

Kzarka itself is located inside of the Serendia Shrine, which is located due south of Hydel and just southeast of Glish. Once you get to the shrine, you’ll want to run through it following the leftmost path, through all of the doorways and into the final room of the shrine, which is where you’ll find Kzarka.

The Fight

The fight itself is very straightforward, as Kzarka does not have too many mechanics you need to be worried about. The majority of the battle will be his auto attacks, where he swipes his arms around in front of him, dealing moderate damage to anyone that’s in front of where he’s facing.

Strategy to Defeat Kzarka

The best strategy for his auto attacks is to stay behind Kzarka at all times so that you’re outside of the AoE damage range of his auto-attacks. Strafe left and right and use your class’s mobility skills to make sure that you face Kzarka’s back at all times. Dealing back damage is more effective than dealing with frontal damage anyway, and you’ll be safe from his attacks. He does spin around the room throughout the fight.

Still, within a few minutes of fighting him, you’ll easily be able to predict his movement patterns and use your class’s mobility skills again to make sure you stay behind them and attacking his back at all times. If you do get caught off guard and get hit, his auto attacks should not be enough to kill you, unless you have a deficient DP value on your armor, so you should be able to drink a potion and then quickly surge behind them and continue dealing back damage.

In addition to these auto attacks, however, there are two unique mechanics he’ll do throughout the fight, and these you’ll need to avoid at all costs. Both of his special attacks are triggered by a black smoke animation, where smoke will rise around him on all four sides, and he will also become untargetable as this happens. Whenever you see the smoke or notice that you’re no longer targeting Kzarka, this is your cue to move away from him as quickly as possible and head immediately for cover behind one of the pillars in the four corners of the room.

Kzarka Mechanics

The first mechanic is a fire breath mechanic, where Kzarka breathes fire in a frontal AoE cone, directly on the ground in front of him. There will be a giant red cone on the ground to signify where the damage from this attack is dealt, so make sure your character is outside of the red area on the ground, and you’ll be safe.

Additionally, for extra safety, you can make sure your character is behind one of the four pillars in the corners of the room, and you will take no damage whatsoever. If you get caught in the fire breath, you’ll pretty much die no matter how well geared you are, so it might be a good idea to hit V and safely move away if you notice that the red cone is underneath your character and you don’t think you’ll have time to move away immediately. Once you’re outside of the fire of the red zone, you’re safe to start dealing with damage to Kzarka again, as the mechanic will be over soon, and as long as you’re outside the red, you will not take damage.

Second Mechanic

The second unique mechanic happens in three phases:

The first phase is a bunch of small red circles that appear on the ground around the room. Stay outside of the red circles during this part, and you’ll be safe. Next, a giant red circle of AoE damage will appear, covering almost the entire room, and there are two ways to avoid this AoE circle. Firstly, you can go all the way to the outside edge of the room to get outside of the red circle, at which point you’ll be safe from damage. Still, also you can hide behind one of the four pillars in the corners of the room, and providing your character is directly behind one of the four pillars you will not get hit by this AoE damage, even though you are inside of the circle.

After the vast AoE attack, there will be another final wave of small circles that appear on the ground again. It would be best if you avoided them until they disappear, at which point you can go back to damaging Kzarka as the special mechanic is now officially over after the second wave of small circles disappears. Many players make the mistake of rushing back in to hit Kzarka too quickly during the second phase of red circles. So remember to wait until you see all of the circles disappear entirely before you run back in towards the boss again, or you may get hit right before they go and end up dying. Better safe than sorry.

These two special mechanics will be repeated at random times throughout the fight, so make sure you continually deal back damage to Kzarka while avoiding his auto attacks, and keep your eye open for the black smoke that signifies one of the special attacks. When you see the smoke, head to the outside edge of the room or get behind a pillar, and avoid red at all costs. Rinse and repeat this throughout the fight, and you should have no problem defeating Kzarka with the rest of your server.

If you do happen to die during the fight, choose to re-spawn at the nearest node, and you’ll be re-spawn right outside the shrine, so you can run back in and immediately continue fighting.

Kzarka Loot

Once Kzarka dies, your pets will auto-loot the corpse, if you got any loot. But if you don’t have pets with you, you’ll need to run up to Kzarka’s body and press R to see if you got any loot. The loot that everyone wants is called Sealed Kzarka Weapon Box, which can be opened to receive a best in slot primary hand weapon.

The cool part about these boxes though is that it won’t give you the weapon until you open the box, so if you get it on one class but want it to be a weapon for a different class, you can put the sealed box into storage and then take it out on the class you’d like. Then, when you open the box, you’ll get the weapon for whatever class opens the box, not the class that received the drop.

It is rumored that the weapon box is approximately a 1% drop chance for all players who receive loot, but keeping in mind that not every player will get loot each, this means that less than one out of every hundred players will get a weapon box per kill on average. This is a scarce drop, and you should not expect to get one when you kill this boss.

In addition to the weapon box, there’s also a drop you can get called Kzarka’s Latent Aura. If you manage to collect a hundred of these Auras over many total kills, you can turn in 100 Latent Auras to the node manager for Serendia Shrine, and he’ll give you a Kzarka’s Weapon Box in return for the hundred Auras.

If you have played Black Desert Online, you’re probably aware of what AP or attack points are. It can be a pain to know where to grind with your specific AP, especially if you don’t know where to grind for the best results or find yourself competing with other players far too often than you would like.

This guide will tell you all about where the best places to grind are, and where to head with the amount of AP you have, some of the items that drop off of the monsters in the area, and will hopefully help any new players who enter the game to get you started.

Below 100 AP – Black Spirit Questline

To start, if you’re set upon grinding, and you’re below 100 AP, your best bet will be to progress through the story quests, which will give you free items including gear for your character as well as weapons as you progress. You can also unlock inventory slots as well, and will continue to do so until you get to an area called the Hex Chapel. Hence, it’s best to start with the story.

It is heavily recommended to progress the story as much as you can as all the monsters you kill will drop items, and you will want to carry as much as you can to make the optimal amount of money.

If you are under level 56 be sure to check out our leveling guide

100 AP – Hexe Sanctuary

Once you obtain 100 AP and have those inventory slots unlocked, you may have an idea of where you can go to grind because you’ve explored the world, but Hex Sanctuary is a good enough spot to begin. It is good to kill monsters in the area because they die quickly, typically in one shot, the only downside to the area is that they are spread out, so AoE damage won’t be as effective.

Some of the other areas, even though the enemies being spread out may work to your advantage, however, you can close the distance by dashing and you will typically kill the monsters in the area in one hit. This area offers witch’s earings from enemies which are worth a decent profit depending on the worlds market as well as ancient relic shards for memory fragment scrolls which are also worth at least one million on the market most times. This is generally a good place to build up money and skill point experience.

100 AP – Mediah: Abadoned Iron Mines, Helms Post, Sausans

Alternatively, you could go to Mediah and grind in that zone from 100-150 AP, you can grind at the abandoned iron mines, or fight the elites in the area which are harder to kill than the average enemies but drop forbidden books, these books also drop from the Wandering Rouge Den nearby.

If you head to the North where Sausan Garrison is, it isn’t as popular as it used to be, however that means there are more enemies to kill in the area which works to your advantage.

You can also head to Helm’s Post, which is another decent area to grind at, but recently has been updated to drop fewer items. And also the monsters to take longer to reappear after you kill and loot them, thus making this place inferior to some of the other areas listed.

150 AP – Polly Forest or Fogans

Polly Forest in Kamasylvia(west of Grana) has more recently has become one of my favorite spots for grinding for EXP, it gives alot of exp and pretty good money/hour. If you are just looking for mainly EXP, this is the spot I would recommend to farm to 61. The only negative is that Wacki Toshi(where you buy marni stones) NPC is a little bit far away so stockpile on Polly Forest Marni Stones before heading out to Polly Forest. You can even do Polly Forest before 150 AP if you wish.

Once you surpass 150 AP, or even a little bit beforehand if you are feeling confident, you can then head over to Fogan’s. Typically, you can stay around the area until you reach the 170’s for AP before moving on over to Gahaz Bandit Lair, where you can stay until you hit soft-cap.

170 AP – Gahaz Bandit Lair or Desert Naga Temple

These two areas are best for grinding because they are near cover, or near the water, in the game meaning, you don’t have to use items to survive in the desert. You can get good scroll drops from these two areas, and the typical monsters near the bandit lair drop excellent loot, and both areas have a good density of monsters to kill with area of effect.

If you’re lucky, a serap necklace can drop at Fogan’s, while the item only drops at the bandit lair off of the elite enemies in the area, however, Rosar weapons drop in the area which can already be enhanced, and meaning you can extract the materials from the weapon which gives you a bunch of black stones, which is a good item to sell on the market.

If you get tired of these two areas, you can head elsewhere to grind, The Desert Naga Temple is one of the alternatives to Fogan’s or Gahaz Bandit Lair. But you will need gear to survive in the harsh desert conditions so be prepared to bring water, deal with Desert sickness, and Sute tea.

200 AP – Cadry Ruins

Another area called Cadry Ruins is an area where most people do not like to grind because it used to be terrible but has since been updated to be arguably better than Gahaz Bandit Lair, although that is up for debate. Cadry offers you a Cadry ring, which can be melted to Yona Fragments, which you can make crescent rings with as well as Basilisk belts.

The scroll rate here has been buffed up when Gahaz got nerfed, which brings the drop rate to be about the same compared to each other. The only downsides to this area are that they are harder to kill, and the enemies who carry around shields have a frontal guard in the area, which can be a waste of time to kill. Another option to grind at is Centaurs Herd, however, the area’s items are going for less on the market and the monsters aren’t worth killing there.

The basilisk Den was updated with a faster respawn rate for the monsters, however, it still isn’t as good as the other areas. A lower AP area called Tshira Ruins runs off of a RNG, not as good as the next area, but the monster density is incredible, it just isn’t nearly as good compared to other areas.

220 AP – Blood Wolf Settlement

When you get up to around 220 AP, you can head on over to the Blood Wolf Settlement(east of Dreighan) to grind that area, and while the monsters do not drop scrolls nearly as fast, it is a good place to make money all the same by dropping ruins rings or Humes, both worth a considerable amount of money.

The problem with the area as compared to the other is that the monsters you kill aren’t worth as much, and rely more on RNG as compared to the other areas.

Overall, Gahaz Bandit Lair and Fogan’s are the areas best areas to grind until you can enter into manshuams. It is always worth remembering, however, that you can choose the best place that works for you, the places listed above are just some of the best areas found in the game that many experienced players use to get by in the game.

245 AP – Manshuams

Once you’ve gotten pretty close to the soft cap for AP, or you’ve reached around the 245 range, you can head on into Manshuams, which is where you will be staying until you work to higher areas to progress. You can party up with other players to kill world bosses and other hard to kill monsters which give you experience and simple monsters to loot, and since it’s lower-tier loot, you won’t have to fight anyone or pay anything extra to obtain it.

Some of the areas like Fadus are getting updated to yield better results when grinding, but the areas aren’t nearly as good as the previously mentioned areas.

255 AP Or Higher – Hystria or Aakman

It is worth noting that before you work your way into Hystria and Aakman, you’ll more than likely be staying inside the Manshuams. Otherwise, the most effective spots to grind remain to be Fogan’s and Gahaz Bandit Lair simply because of the lack of relying on a RNG for your loot. As well as how fast you can kill the monsters and how spaced out or grouped up they are in the areas. The last thing to note is that the efficiency of how you farm in certain places may depend on the class you play due to the abilities that make up each specific class.

Conclusion

Finding a good spot to grind at can be hard for newer players, especially when seeing how vast the world of Black Desert Online can be. Hopefully, this guide has helped you decide where the best places to grind are and have given you the knowledge of what you should farm to make the most money and get the most experience possible. Remember that results may vary depending on your class and how well you do when dealing with the RNG as well as how many people you have to compete with. Good luck on your adventures and happy grinding out in the world!

Introduction To World Bosses

World bosses are spread across the Black Desert Online game and spawn at random intervals throughout the day and night. There are a total of eight world bosses to fight and each time, a world boss is defeated, its respawn timer is reset.

There is a mechanic to know when the world bosses are going to spawn. The easiest way to find out which world boss is due to spawn is to download a program named Discord.

Then you can join the International Hunting Associations discord channel, where there is a page called “Boss Timer” that informs which bosses are due to spawn or when their spawn windows will open. Once a world boss spawns, you are able to check live calls to see what percentage the bosses are on and which channels are still alive.

Preparations Before a World Boss Fight

You need around 120 AP and 150 DP before you venture to do any bosses. If you do not get this, you will probably get no loot because you are not going to do any damage and you are going to get one-shot by every single ability that the world boss throws at you.

You will also need to be level 50 or more because if you are at a lower level, you miss every attack on the boss and obtain no loot anyway. Stack up on health and mana potions for the bosses. Also, food buffs can be a great aid to these. Serendia specials, caffeine specials, and knight combat rations are all great choices as they are cheap and effective.

Gameplay Recommendations

A large majority of bosses spawn around the Serendia area so if you are stationed at Heidel from here, you will be able to get six out of the eight bosses easily. This is the recommended way to go if you only want to use one character for world bosses.

If you want to be able to do more bosses and be more efficient I would, however, recommend a different route.

Park the first character at Bandit’s Den Byway

This gives you quick access to Dim tree, Red Nose, Bheg and Karanda all with one character

Park the second character at Glish

This gives you quick access to Mudster and Kzarka

And finally, if you want to do the desert bosses I recommend parking the third character @ Scarlet Sand Chamber which is where Kutum spawns.

Another important thing to do is turn off your speller effects as they melt any CPU or graphics cards and you will drop around five to ten frames a second.

Also, you might want to disable other players’ pets they are going to clog up your screen.

Kzarka

Kzarka spawns in the Serendia shrine, which is located in southern Serendia.

Kzarka Knowledge

To get knowledge on Kzarka, you have to speak to the node manager for the Serendia shrine and play the amity games. It is not hard to do, but it is a bit time-consuming. Once you have done it, you might need to reset your knowledge with Calpheon or with an Elixir of Oblivion and then try again.

Kzarka Drop

Kzarka drops the Kzarka weapon, which the best main hand weapon in the game.

Kzarka’s Abilities

He is a pretty easy boss overall. As expected, you are going to need to dodge his standard frontal melee attacks and try to stand behind him as much as possible as this will allow you to avoid being hit whilst also giving you the extra attack damage you gain from doing back attacks.

The only ability that you should be concerned about with Kzarka is his fire breath. When you see Kzarka gathering dark clouds or smoke around him, you can either run behind him or fore extra safety, you can behind one of the pillars around the room.

Kzarka also becomes untargetable during this time. That is another way to notice he will use his fire breath if you are having issues noticing the smoke. So when you cannot attack him anymore, just run behind one of the pillars or behind the boss.

Kutum

Kutum is located in the Scarlet Sand Chamber in the Valencia area.

Kutum Knowledge

To get knowledge off of Kutum, you will need to do a short quest chain. You obtain the first quest from the node manager of the Sand Chamber. She will ask you to explore the Sand Chamber. All you need t do is run through it and find the glowing white items and press R on them. Once you have done this, you will need to turn in the quest to her and then head over to an NPC, which is located near the Sand Grain Bazaar. She will then send you back to the Chamber node manager to receive Kutum knowledge. If you are not happy with the rank you’ve just got on the boss, you can reset it and do another Amity game.

Kutum Drop

Kutum drops the Kutum Offhand, which is an AP and DP item. It has two gem slots and it also offers 10% ignore resistance, so it is a great pickup for a lot of the classes in the game.

Kutum’s Abilities

In terms of not dying at Kutum, he is a bit more difficult than other bosses as he is quite hard-hitting if you are not well-geared. You will need to watch out for his melee swipe by either standing behind him or dashing through when he does the attack. If you are over 230 DP, then you can pretty much ignore these attacks and pop up again straight after. Kutum will also randomly burrow and start jumping up through the ground in the chamber.

When he burrows under, you should just run for the edge of the room and look for the earth-shaking beneath you. If it does this, then you should move out of the way. During this phase, Kutum may also pop his head out of the ground in the middle of the room and do a lightning explosion. If you see him pop up, just stay at max range away from him and block if it is possible for your class to do that.

This boss has one main kill ability, his AoE (area of effect) Vacuum. When you see Kutum stop moving and gathering dark clouds by his mouth, you will want to run away from him as far as possible. If this ability hits you, it will pull you in towards him and do massive damage to you.

If you can avoid these abilities, then you are pretty much set to fight Kutum and obtain a lot of free loot.

Dim Tree Spirit

The Dim Tree Spirit is located in the Forest of Seclusion, which is south of the Western Guard Camp in the Balenos region.

Dim Tree Spirit Knowledge

To get knowledge of the Dim Tree Spirit, you will need to kill the weekly tree boss scroll, which you can get from your Black Spirit and to try to get the last hit on it. It is best to do this boss in a group of friends who can rotate the last hit on the boss so that you can all get knowledge as quickly as possible.

Dim Tree Drop

This world boss has a really great loot. You can get your normal black stones, weapon boxes, hunter seals, and gems, but on top of that, you can get an item called the Tree Spirit Belt, which gives AP and accuracy or you can even obtain the fabled Tree Spirit Armor, which is the rarest boss drop in the game. The armor gives plus 200 HP, plus 100 mana, and more DP than a standard chest-piece, making it a great addition to your gear set.

Dim Tree Spirit’s Abilities

When you engage with the Tree Spirit, you have to be cautious of various abilities when you fight him, which mostly involve the boss digging his arms in the ground. The first ability is a rock throw. He will pull out three rocks from the ground and throw them at ranged targets. This does AoE damage, so avoid stacking up on other people where possible. His next ability is his stun ability. He will dig his arms into the ground again for a short amount of time and then throw out a big AoE stun.

The best way to avoid this ability is to just run out to a safe distance if you are worried about getting one-shot by it. Another ability is that he will summon little tree adds to fight for him. Normally, you do not have to worry about them as they mostly get cleared up by the group AoE and they do not do too much damage. His main ability you have to worry about is his massive AoE knock-off and killing ability.

He will once again dig his arms into the ground for an extended amount of time as if he is trying to pull the earth of the ground. Then, he will rip his arms out of the ground, doing massive AoE damage to anyone near him and normally one-shots most people. You need to run away from him and get a good distance from him, especially if you are a melee class.

Red Nose

Red Nose is located by Western Guard Camp in central Balenos. Players normally avoid this boss because he is a nightmare and is somewhat glitchy.

Red Nose Drop

Red Nose drops the Red Nose Armor, which gives plus 10 HP recovery and plus 100 mana. Most people do not go for the Red Nose Armor since the plus 200 HP from the Dim Tree Armor is better than HP recovery.

Red Nose’s Abilities

When you engage Red Nose, he has some core mechanics. One ability is his charge mechanic. He will start scuffing the ground near him and charge towards an enemy. It does not do too much damage so if you see him starting to charge, just move out of the way. He will keep going straight ahead and then stop in the end. His other abilities can easily one-shot you, so be careful.

One ability is his jump ability. He will get down and bend his legs and then start jumping around. He will jump twice and then out of this, he will do a belly flop. When you see him getting ready to jump, just dash away and get out of range if you are a melee character.

If you are a ranged character, just make sure he is not jumping towards you. If you get hit by the jump and then by the belly flop, you will get knocked down and probably killed if you are not heavily geared. Another ability is his AoE shout, which most players fall victim to. He will start gathering dark smoke around him and then do an AoE roar, This attack hits everyone in front of him.

If you are a melee character, you can get behind him. But be careful how close you are when you are behind him because if your attacks are going through his body, you will still get hit by his AoE roar. So it best to just run away from him and afterward, go straight back in and start attacking.

When his HP hits around 40-45%, he will do another AoE roar and this roar goes in a full 360-degree angle around him and hit anyone that is near him. When you see him do this, back away, wait for him to the roar, and then go back in again and continue attacking him. Red Nose’s abilities do a lot more damage compared to other world bosses, so avoid getting hit by him. So try to stand behind him and try to block his attacks if you are able to.

Nouver

Nouver is located in the Great Valencian desert. He is trickier to find because you cannot use your map in the desert unless you have a compass. First, you need to make sure you have Purified Water and Star Anise Tea. These will negate the effects of dehydration and hypothermia, which are debuffs that occur when you are in the desert. One of each should be enough and they are purchasable in the marketplace. They can also be bought at the General Good Vendor at the Sand Grain Bazaar.

Nouver Knowledge

In order to get knowledge of Nouver, you need to do a quest chain, which begins in the Ibellab Oasis, located north of the Valencian desert. You obtain a quest from the stable keeper, who asks to find a book in the nearby desert. You have to this three times in order to get knowledge of Nouver. Don’t worry as they are easy to find. They are shown on the map and as you are near one of them, they appear on the mini-map. It is possible to reset your knowledge to obtain a better rank with Calpheon or an Elixir of Oblivion.

Nouver Drop

Nouver drops the Nouver Offhand, which is the highest AP offhand weapon in the game. This weapon is great for some classes.

Nouver’s Abilities

Nouver is relatively easy if you know his abilities. His Side Step or Hop ability allows him to jump away from you and sometimes he may disappear in front of you and then reappears behind you, becoming a rather tedious and annoying world boss. Another mechanic he possesses is his Whirlwind ability. He will spawn multiple whirlwinds that slowly move around the world boss’s location. If you get stuck inside a whirlwind, it is very hard to escape out of it, making you an easy target for Nouver. The whirlwinds do not produce too much damage and are sometimes hard to avoid, especially at night time as they are hard to see.

Another ability he has is a fire breath attack whilst flying. He will take off and shoot fire from above. Your best chance is to stand still and try to avoid any fireball aimed at you. However, they do not produce too much damage. His main ability you have to be careful is his Frontal Fire breath mechanic. He does this throughout the fight and at random intervals. This is Nouver’s only one-shot ability and it is very simple to avoid. You just have to move behind the world boss or to his side, however, he does have a tailwhip. Therefore, it is best to move to his side.

Mudster

Mudster is located south of Heidel and east of the Central Guard Camp.

Mudster Drop

He drops various loot, like Liverto and awakening boxes. He also has a chance to drop Mark of Shadows, which is not as important as a boss weapon or gear, but it is worth from seven to ten million.

Mudster’s Abilities

He is a very easy boss. There is only one ability you have to watch out and it is his “Wobble” ability. He will start to shake (wobble) back and forth for a few seconds before he burrows underground. Then, he starts to shoot mud spikes from under the ground, so you must dash away from him as far as possible. This attack can easily one-shot you if you are not properly geared. However, if you are well geared, you can probably block it.

Another ability he has is spawning little mudster adds, that do not do a lot of damage. They are easily AoE by everyone. Another mechanic Mudster may do is burrow underground and charge towards a player and then appear in front of them. You simply have to move out of his path. That is basically what you need to do in order to defeat Mudster.

Dastard Bheg

Dastard Bheg spawns in the Northern Plains of Serendia, which is located west of Heidel. Most players fight this boss because of this gear drop.

Dastard Bheg Knowledge

To obtain Bheg’s knowledge, you must do the daily boss scrolls that you obtain fro your Black Spirit after level 45. Remember to try to get the last hit as it makes more probable to secure the knowledge quickly.

Dastard Bheg Drop

He drops the Bheg’s Gloves, which give bonus accuracy as you enhance them, have two gem slots, and slightly higher DP than other gloves.

Dastard Bheg’s Abilities

He only has one main ability you must be cautious of and it is his Chain Flail ability. He will stop auto-attacking and do a roar for a few seconds. Once his animation is complete, he will start spinning his chain around him in a 360-degree angle, doing massive damage to any near him. Therefore, you must run away from him as far as possible and once his attack is over, you dash right back in and continue attacking him.

His standard auto-attack is lashing his chain at a player with Agro and it is an AoE attack, so try to stay behind him or pinpoint who he is attacking and keep your distance. However, you have to be careful as he changes the target quite often.

Karanda

Karanda is the toughest world boss as she provides the best awakening weapon in the game. She is a Harpy Queen boss, located at the summit of the Karanda Ridge in the Balenos Mountains.

Karanda Drop

Karanda drops the best awakening weapon in the game, which is the Dandelion. This weapon has more AP than any other awakening weapon, making it an ultra-rare weapon. Many players are still doing this world boss fight because they still have not been able to obtain the Dandelion.

Karanda’s Abilities

Karanda has two main abilities that can one-shot you. One is her Reigning Arrows ability. in which there are two different approaches through possibility indicators. There will be a red ring on the field and you must know if the attack will occur inside or outside of the ring. Before Kuranda initiates her attack, she will shoot into the sky and then dash quickly herself into the sky.

In this scenario, you must stay in and do not move away as Kuranda will shoot outside of the red ring. However, if Kuranda lowers herself on the ground and afterward shoots herself into the sky, the attack will target inside of the circle. Therefore, you must move away from the red ring as fast as possible. If you are able to recognize these animations swiftly, you will be able to avoid her attack and become a less complicated boss fight. Her other abilities include a standard auto-attack and soaring in the sky and summoning multiple harpies to fight for her. The harpies will produce massive damage if they gang up on you, so be cautious. This is the main strategy for Karanda.

Basic Info

Pets are Black Deserts way of “auto looting” enabling you to grind without having to manually pick up while they are out. Each Pet loots the items from one corpse, then goes into cooldown (pickup speed, see below).

Besides picking up items, each pet will have a special ability (some can be toggled, others are always active) and a passive bonus. They’ll also gain a random passive bonus at level 10. Higher tier pets may gain multiple bonuses at level 10. These abilities and boons only work while the pet is out and not while checked in. While the pet is out it will slowly get hungry (speed differs depending on the pet command set). Pets gain experience when fed till they reach a maximum level of 10. As their abilities scale with their level, it is recommended to level them up as fast as possible.

You can have up to 5 pets out at the same time (newer regions may have lower limits).

Some exceptions apply, like only 1 Kuku can be out at a time.

Pet pickup speed

Values for lvl 10 pet, lower levels are slower.

Tier 1

4.0

Tier 2

4.0

Tier 3

3.0

Tier 4

2.5

Pet Commands
Average, the default setting.

Cautious decreases the speed at which your pet gets hungry but slows down pickup speed by 10%
Agile increases the speed at which your pet gets hungry but increases pickup speed by 10%.

Other pet abilities are unaffected by cautious/agile setting.

Pet Tiers

All pets will start at tier 1 unless stated otherwise when buying (usually only rng loot boxes will give t2-4 pets). 2-5 lower tier pets can be exchanged in the pet interface for 1 new higher tier pet. The new pet will inherit the xp from the first registered pet for the exchange.
You can exchange pets of different species. However, exchanges can be limited based on the Type of the pet. For example, though a dog can be exchanged with a cat, Premium pets such as a Choppy cannot be exchanged with a cat.

Types

Description

Pet List

Classic

Pets that are sold regularly

Striped Cat, Orange Brindle Cat, Black Mask Cat, White/Black Valencian Cat, Grey Moon Cat, Tabby Cat, Gray/Black Thin Cat, Junaid Cat, Calpheon Chubby Dog, Brown Fighting Dog, Snow Wolfdog, Naughty Dog, Mediah Guard Dog, Brown Cream Puppy, Kaia Jackal, Kaia Racing Dog, Baian Dog, Shaggy Dog, Curly Dog, Shepherd, Fluffy Puppy

Limited

Pets that are only sold for limited periods of time.

Ribbon Cat, Winter Rosefinch Set, Lost Penguin, Snowkid, Hedgehog, Polar Bear, Neurotic Cabby, Witch Hat Charlotte, Cushy Mallowmerz, Helter-Skelter Ceros, Cursed Looney, Drifty Ghosphy

Premium

Pets that cost 1100 Pearls

Brown Guide Hawk, Sky Hawk, Long-Tailed Rosefinch, Scarlet Macaw, Desert Fox, Red Panda, Stoneback Crab, Cardadun Owl, Panda, Choppy, Young Griffon, Pila Fe Naughty Dog, Karlstein Cat, Turtle, Little Lamp, Crow

Event

Pets that are obtained from Events

[Event] Kuku

Special

Pets that are obtained from a Boss

Young Crimson Dragon

Wizard Gopshy can be exchanged with all pet types, except special.Pets can only be exchanged with the same type

Since you lose pets for the exchange it is usually recommended to only try for a higher tier if you have more pets than you can take out at once.

Exchanging only 2 pets:

Tier

Result

Chance

1 + 1

Tier 2

45 %

Tier 3

55 %

1 + 2

Tier 2

35 %

Tier 3

65 %

2 + 2

Tier 2

20 %

Tier 3

80 %

1 + 3

Tier 3

85 %

Tier 4

15 %

2 + 3

Tier 3

75 %

Tier 4

25 %

3 + 3

Tier 3

65 %

Tier 4

35 %

3 + 4, 4 + 4

Tier 4

100%

※ Wizard Gosphy can only be tier 1. However, it will increase the chances of getting a higher tier pet more than another tier 1 pet.

Exchanging more than 2 pets will increase the chance for higher tier, up to 100%.
The chances for the upgrade are added for each extra pet, based on the tier.
Example 1: Tier 1 + Tier 1 (55% of getting Tier 3) + Tier 1 (55% of getting Tier 3) = 110% (effectively, 100%) chance of getting Tier 3
Example 2: Tier 3 + Tier 3 (35% chance of getting Tier 4) + Tier 3 (35% chance of getting Tier 4) + Tier 1 (15% chance of getting Tier 4) + Tier 1 (15% chance of getting Tier 4) = 100% Chance of getting Tier 4

Pets which have a tier difference of 2 tiers or more can be exchanged. (However, the main pet you register first must be the highest tier.)

When you exchange the main pet with another pet, then the main pet’s EXP will be kept. The level may drop due to higher Tier pets requiring more Xp to level.

Main Pet (Example)

Result

Level

Level 10

Inherits XP from main pet (Tier 3 lvl10 or Tier 4 level 7-8)

Tier

Tier 3

Inherits from main pet (at least Tier3)

Appearance

Choose, or get a random one from pet exchange Pool

Special Skill

Resource Detection

Depends on the appearance of the pet.

Talent

Choose from pet exchange pool, or get a random talent.

Pet Abilities

(% values may differ for some regions, values for lvl 10 pets. Lower lvl may differ)

Pet

Special Ability

Passive, per tier

Hedgehog

Chance to get double ressource from gathering (30/30/40/50%)

1/2/3/4% Lifeskill xp

Polar Bear

Auto-fishing time reduced (20/20/25/30%)

Weight Limit +20/30/40/50

Penguin

Auto-fishing time reduced (20/20/25/30%)

1/2/3/4% Lifeskill xp

Cats / Choppy

Finds resources (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Lifeskill xp

Dogs

Hostility detection (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Skill xp

Birds

Finds rare monsters (toggle)

5/10/15/20% Knowledge gain chance, 1/2/3/4% Higher grade knowledge chance.

Desert Fox

Resistance to desert diseases

1/2/3/4% Durability reduction resistance

Kuku [Event]

Finds resources (toggle) or Hostility detection (toggle)

5/10/15/20% Knowledge gain chance, 1/2/3/4% Higher grade knowledge chance.

Red Panda / Panda

Taunt Monsters (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Skill xp

Stoneback Crab

Finds resources (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Durability reduction resistance

Turtle / Griffon

Hostility detection (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Durability reduction resistance

Little Lamb

Hostility detection (toggle)

1/2/3/4% Lifeskill xp

Wizard Gosphy

Taunt Monsters (toggle)

5% Knowledge gain chance, 1% Higher grade knowledge chance.
Note: Not pets may always be available or only in special packages or as attendance rewards only. Which pets are available from the pearl shop may also differ depending on region.

Toggleable abilities will usually work individually while abilities that are always on will generally not stack, like the hedgehog or the polar bear/penguins abilities.

Recommended Pets

Generally the only pets that are recommended to get with priority are Hedgehog (just one is enough since the special ability doesn’t stack, highest tier counts) and polar bear (special ability doesn’t stack either, but the passive is worth having multiple times) and to a lesser extent the penguin (special ability doesn’t stack with polar bear).
Other pets don’t have notable abilities to consider, making it more of personal preference choice which ones to get.

Polar bear/Hedgehog have limited availability, especially for steam users (website users may get them from gifting package). Penguin is generally attendance only (some regions may have it in pearl shop).

Pet Food

Skill exp

So couple things you want to be aware of your going to get more combat XP whenever you’re in a group of five players going to get less skill XP whenever you’re in a group of five players. however, skill exp is based on when you get rapid kills alone and then also give added skill points does take a little longer to skill points can be grinded later on once you’re a high-level so you don’t have to worry about that in the beginning.

Tips Before You Start Grinding

How to hide chat in Black Desert on Xbox

So it is left trigger left on the d-pad then right on the joystick.

How To Turn Down Screen Shaking In Black Desert Xbox

Go to settings, then general settings. Over there you have a tab named “overall camera effect”, turn that down to altogether remove or reduce the screen shaking.

How To See Monsters On The Map

Go to your world map and hold y and go back and forth on your d-pad. Over on your right, you’re going to be able to get to this monster setting. That will show you all the icons for the monsters on the map so you can find them easier, even in the fog. Make sure to turn on this feature, it’ll make it easier to find grinding spots.

How And Where To Level In Black Desert

I recommend questing up until the end of the ancient stone chamber when you’re done talking with Edon you’re getting a little speed boost for 60 seconds that’s how you can get out of Cave quickly. Go talk to Western guard Camp hear it but after you’re done with Edon, you can enhance and that’s all you really need on your character.

If you want to go to the quest line and you like doing quests. I strongly recommend it doing when first starting out the game since you get more inventory slots and contribution points. This will be important later on.

If you need a good weapon, make sure you talk to Nelly the arms dealer in Heidel, buy the Styd weapon she offers. It costs 20k, and gives you high accuracy. So you’re level 13, now what?

Level 1-13 Quest Line until Edon

Level 13-18 Moretti Plantation

Preferably you want to be in a group of five in order to gain the most exp.

Level 18-22 Castle Ruins

When you’re fighting purple NPCs they’re going to have a minor penalty from what they would be if the red however it’s still significant XP and so if you have five people on them or purple’s go down pretty quickly. Your loot going to be a little bit limited fighting purple so if you’re more interested in that while leveling out switch some people are just want to stay an extra level than what I’m saying at all these spots.

Level 22-25 Swamp Fogans

You want to keep on moving west you’re going to hit the series of four different ponds, basically by the time you get this bottom pond you should be level 25.

Level 25-28 Bloody Monastery

Then come on down here to be bloody Monastery actually so this is a nice place to go There’s a castle, you want to fight inside the castle. You can probably have two maybe even three groups throughout the whole area is it, it’s a big place.

Level 28-31 Orc Camp

Another alternative is bandits:

Level 30-40 Refugee Camp

There are basically zombies north of Calpheon.

One good alternative is at level 34 go to North of Florin where you’ll find some owls that live up in the forest, but you’ll need higher AP in order to kill these.

Level 40-45 Chimeras

it’s just great EXP. On PC with gear I’ve gone from 39 to 44 in under 10 minutes so it’s pretty crazy. Eventually once you are leveling alts, this is going to be the fastest levels.

Level 45-50/52 Catfishman Camp

At 45 there’s a couple different options open up. 45-50 will be and you can have some fun it’s just exciting. There’s a couple island in the middle so you can swim out there if you need to unlock(don’t recommend it). Rhutums is also another option if you are looking for getting gear, but I recommend catfish instead.

Calpheon Shrine 51-55 Pre-Mediah

Level 50/52-55 Helms

Does Level Matter In BDO

The current state of the game PC you can AFK level, you can interact with a training dummy you get combat XP AFK and in 2 days of not playing at all because you can go from 59-60. This game is going to continuously make combat exp be easier and easier and keep making silver easier and easier. So if you want whatever that’s one for you but just know your hundred of hours invested could have been spent getting skill points which you will always need more of.

You want to come to start focusing on gear and getting away from combat XP. A major pitfall of some of Black Desert players is that they overemphasize combat XP it’s just not that important.

Levels make a more significant difference in PvE than PvP. But you can spend thousands of hours or hundreds of hours to be one level higher than one of the person, and it is such a minor noticeable difference. You’re going to be thinking, what on earth did I spend my time doing?

Instead do you spend your time getting skill points you if you want to do it and then solo kill get your AP get AP up to. Skill points is what’s going to allow you to unlock higher tiered skills, which directly gives you more damage to your skills. Don’t get me wrong, levels matter too especially if its a level 56 fighting a level 61 for example, but not as much as you think.

I forgot to mention that there are the Treant accessories you can get, that give 5 AP and 24 accuracy, at the start of the game these are going to make your grind a lot easier, so make sure you go ahead and pick these up.

Where to get Treant Accessories?

You get the Treant Accessories at the Arms Dealer in Calpheon. The NPC is located in Calpheon to the right of the storage master, next to the blacksmith(where you repair your gear).
